  1. Snow & more snow. It's like being in "The Shining". All work & no play makes kak a dull boy...
  2. Im not a fan of the ballady type songs on "IORNR". Too much "Angie" territory for my tastes. I'm not a fan of the production either. "Short & Curlies" is the only one I really like. I do love the guitar on "Time Waits For No One", but I can't stand the song itself.
  3. "Black & Blue" is a good album, better than the majority of "It's Only Rock N Roll". I've always really like "Hey Negrita" a lot. Ronnie wrote the music to that one, no songwriting credit of course, but he recieves credit for "inspiration" lol. "Goats Head Soup" doesnt get enough credit. "Coming Down Again" is one of Keiths best songs & probably his best lead vocal. "Can You Hear The Music", their last great grab at druggy psychedelia. "Winter" is beautiful. Great album.
  4. An 8 DVD collection of the "Our Gang / Little Rascals" shorts. Im through the first 2 DVD's. I'm sorry, "Animal House", "Borat", "Anchorman", & every classic Mel Brooks movie combined is not as funny as what were on those 2 DVD's I just watched. Hal Roach & those kids were genuises.
  5. It's not my favorite song either, but it is epic & powerful. It is some of Page's & Bonhams best playing, but that does not make a great song alone. It's very good, but I'll take "Ten Years Gone" over it anyday. Its just a better crafted song as a whole. As far as radio play, that doesnt even matter. Radio plays whats palatable. I really couldnt see "Achilles" played over "D'yer Mak'er" for example. There's plenty of great Beatles songs that dont get played like "It's All Too Much" but you will hear "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" constantly. They're more accessible to the wider audience, it's just marketing. I love "Friends" & "Four Sticks" but Im sure theyre not played alot either.
  6. Rolling Stones - Moonlight Mile Led Zeppelin - Rain Song Moody Blues - Tuesday Afternoon
  7. Jimmy Cliff - "Many Rivers To Cross"
  8. ...and youre my maudlin quotation signature friend Cream(Robert Johnson) - "Four Until Late"
  9. It wasnt Jagger that Taylor didnt get along with, it was Richards. Jagger tried to convince Taylor to stay. Songwriting credits are important & should be acknowledged. The Stones have a real bad case of not doing that. Nanker/Phledge indeed.
  10. "A Bigger Bang" & "Voodoo Lounge" have some good songs on them, particularly "Back Of My Hand" & "Thru & Thru". Saw them in 2005 at the Garden & I was shocked how good they were, & I had zero expectations. Even Ronnie wasnt that bad he's who I usually have a problem with. Keith was great, on fire. Mick had the audience completely in his hands & Charlie was impeccable. Great show.

  17. Cant drink the bourbons anymore, to bad of a hangover. Johnny Walker Black "was" my poison... beautiful tasting poison... but I liked it too much. An occassional tipple when there's something worth celebrating, but that's it. I also like Cragganmore & Maccallans', nice blended Scotchs'.
