  1. Diet Whichever of the two is on sale (I like Diet Coke better). My mom loves Tab, and it's getting really hard to find.
  2. I think if she really wanted to carry on with her ex, she wouldn't tell you she was going to meet him. But she is pretty hurt/PO'd though.
  3. We've had similar "discussions" if one of us feels we are doing the lion's share; and we also have different ideas on what the priorities around the house should be (have I mentioned we can both be stubborn?). I don't have any real advice other than trying to emphasize the "teamwork/partnership" concept. I've definitely been in both your shoes though.
  4. AC/DC with some Japanese metal band opening in Roanoke VA in the mid 80s (85 or so). They sounded horrible; the songs were practically unrecognizeable. Not sure if it was the band or the arena's acoustics (or both). The Cars in Richmond, VA on their "Panorama" tour (81'ish) were disappointing; they stood there motionless, except for strumming their guitars, and sang word for word from the albums. No interaction with the audience at all. And if opening acts count, definitely the Hives from Oct '07 was the worst ever. The most white-knuckled musical experience ever. There was no beat; yet the beat was everywhere. It was totally freaking my blood pressure out. That plus the FREAKY LIGHT SHOW with those lights that rise up and outward until you can't see your feet, like Close Encounters of the Third Kind, while you are balancing on the top row in the nosebleed section and trying not to tumble down the skinny stairs (free radio station tickets). I could not WAIT until they were gone. I know I'm "old", but my teen daughter didn't like them either.
  5. My husband says that too whenever I grumble about it

    DREAMS

Last night I dreamt I was pregnant again (definitely *not* the case; the kids were looking at their baby pictures last night)
  7. "Pass the Dutchie", by Musical Youth I must've heard it in one of those surf shops.
  8. I bet they'll come back to you Instrumentally speaking, "Wooden Ships" and "Cowgirl in the Sand". Not sure how those would go vocally, though. And how about "Love Removal Machine" by the Cult?
  9. I like the Skynyrd idea; a southern rock/jam band/improv thing would be great. I bet Robert could do his magic on "Sweet Melissa" & "Dixie Chicken" too.
  10. Whoops; I'm sorry I missed Darn, that's twice now. I'm still feeling badly for assuming everyone's summer is in June/July/Aug.
  11. Why thanks; cheers to you too! Glad you had fun!
  12. My husband and son are waaay into wrestling; my son loves John Cena. I just picked up the WWE 24th special 3 disc DVD for his birthday earlier today
  13. That is awesome; I am so excited for you!! Wonderful pictures too; thanks for sharing!!

    Pet Peeves

Absolutely; although I don't go there very often anymore because I try to steer clear of fried stuff. They used to make a shredded chicken barbecue (Chicken Q) a long time ago too that was really good; I wish they hadn't discontinued that! I saw a McDonalds ad earlier in the week; they've just launched a Southern Chicken Sandwich. You can see pickles under the bun in the picture.
  15. To all the Dads here; Happy Father's Day! Hope your day is special!

    Pet Peeves

Thanks Nathan; I was just curious; I worked at a Chick-Fil-A back in high school We just ate there today on our way back from vacation, and I think it was the busiest one I've ever seen; with possibly the friendliest staff I'd ever seen too! I like the regular chicken sandwiches (extra pickles ) but today I had a chargrilled sandwich with the fruit cup instead of fries (ate way too much on vacation, lol). Next time, try ordering a sandwich without pickles (and maybe with no butter on the bun).
  17. "Benny and the Jets" has been stuck since we watched "27 Dresses" yesterday.
  18. We rented "National Treasure 2" and "27 Dresses" this week; I enjoyed both.
  19. My mom has a book about all the Saints.
  20. Thanks I should also mention that my son will be filling in as asst. coach for the little kids tomorrow and my older daughter is volunteering with me at work tomorrow and Saturday Then we all leave for the beach Sat. afternoon ... woo hoo!
  21. This is probably more of a superstition; despite being a lapsed Catholic, I still keep a St. Christopher medal in my purse, and when we were trying to sell our house, we buried a St. Joseph medal on the property
  22. We had a practice swim meet tonight, and I was surprised to see my 6 year old daughter butterflying down the pool (normally only 7+ swim butterfly). She didn't DQ; and she swam faster than her freestyle and backstroke
  23. LOL; must be the cold medicine; took me until the 4th paragraph to get it

    Pet Peeves

Pet peeve is when you are feeling rotten (sinus infection) and the pharmacy screws up your prescription. I never did get to the bottom of it; I gave up b/c I had to pick the kids up from swim practice. One of the 2 prescriptions got filled but I have no idea about the other one. This happened to me once before at another pharmacy when I had strep.
