  1. It's on TLC. It's about Kleinfeld's Bridal in NYC and brides' experiences finding their perfect wedding dress. There's also a Say Yes to the Dress/Atlanta. It's on every Friday night; it's a nice way to unwind http://www.tlc.com/tv-shows/say-yes-to-the-dress/
  2. If we post them here, they will go away, right?
  3. Somewhere around 15" of snow...and counting.
  4. Bracing for the snowmageddon! The Commonwealth pretty much shuts down when it snows more than 3-4". I'm sure we'll lose the internet so see you next week!
  5. Is this on a commercial now or something?
  6. Don't laugh; I have recently discovered nature music. It helps me concentrate (at work or home) when I need to drown out background noise.
  7. This is such sad news; I'm so thankful to have seen him play with the Eagles. RIP Glenn Frey.
  8. The David Bowie tributes really got to me; I admit I got a bit choked up. I'm still in denial about Alan Rickman; it's too much in one week. Sigh.
  9. Oh no! Alan Rickman. http://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/celebrity/alan-rickman-british-actor-known-harry-potter-role-has-died-n496346

Guess I'm going back to work tomorrow after all! 4 numbers + powerball=$50,000; I'd take that even!
  11. Happy Birthday Jimmy!! Best wishes for a wonderful year!
  12. I was very excited to see it and managed to avoid all the spoilers until I finally saw it. Overall I did enjoy it. It was very exciting; I loved the continuity from the original and also thought it was very cool that Daniel Craig and Gwendoline Christie were in it (and were so excited to be in it!). I also was glad to see that women had much stronger roles this time. I also really appreciated the special effects from the first movie and how they have largely stood the test of time. I totally agree that BB8 stole the show! I agree with others upthread though that it was lacking in character development and was predictable. I felt like we were supposed to care about the new characters without knowing anything about them yet (including their names). With the original, I was totally lost in the story; with this one I was very aware that I was watching a movie; if that makes sense. I felt a lack of backstory and depth; and some flash over substance. But still, it was Star Wars, and I did enjoy it! My son totally disagrees with my assessment, btw.
  13. It's an oldie but the original "Die Hard" Giggling a bit at the technology...
  14. Wrapping presents and watching a "RHOBH" marathon; it's really horrible but I'm also kind of riveted....
  15. Watched The Young & the Restless today for the first time in probably 15 years and still knew who was who and what was going on.
  16. The "Mortification" series...oh my gosh!! http://thebloggess.com
  17. I haven't caught them yet; hope they come a little closer to VA!
