Saw the Pogues at 9:30 Club on the 18th. Couldn't understand one single work spoken or sung. Shane MacGowan looked like he'd just rolled out of bed and needed help getting up the 5 steps to the stage. I had a fabulous time!!! They do know how to put on a show!

The wind yesterday knocked out our power mid-afternoon and it just came on about 2 hours ago. It was cold outside...and really, really cold inside. Fortunately, we have a woodstove in the living room, so we slept out here. The house is ever-so-slowly warming up... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

West Side Story on my local PBS station. I love this movie.

It's 50 degrees here. In December. I went down to the mailbox at the end of the driveway just now - with no coat on! - and about halfway down realized it was so dark I couldn't see anything. Freaked me out a bit.
