  2. Are you making fun of my accent? Not that I mind, just curious. I noticed your pic of Denis. I live not far from where he grew up. He's done alot for the community. Especially after the Dec 3, 1999 fire....gotta respect that!!

Naw not really lol, I used to live in Newport, RI and a a big Red Sox fan although my Saints come firsttongue.gif

They have a similar accent down here, it's all about the "R's"biggrin.gif

  3. I cleaned up my living room (threw out all my daugther's old toys), took the ones she still likes to my mom's house, got all the clean laundry off the sofas and put away!!! That was over the weekend, but i know how you feel because it felt good. btw... great that you did so well on your run, Virginia!

I am happy i got through my first day back (well it was a night shift, and that is a pet peeve of mine) after 2 weeks off, but at least i will get time and half for the holiday. Happy my daughter starts her next session of gymnastics today! Will be happy to hit my pillow in a few minutes, but not happy when the alarm goes off too soon (around 2p).

We're up early today! Good morning :)

  4. This is a picture and a friend in Ft lauderdale in 2005. She is like a little sister. The whole staff took a cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami (the intercoatal). Great Day:-)

I'll be glad when I get to travel again, I love the blue water and warm climatescool.gif

  5. The most beautiful woman in the world since the beginning of time happens to be my girlfriend. It's clear to me that she used to pose as a model for Botticelli and Titian, but don't ask me how that's possible, because I've no idea, and I'm not the magician she is. I only know that I love her.

    You Da Man!wink.gifthumbsup.gif

  6. How's it going "The Pagemeister?" I hope all is still well with you. Right now, I'm listening to the JEFFERSON AIRPLANE/JEFFERSON STARSHIP/STARSHIP collection on CD presented by VH-1's Behind The Music series. This is a very good compilation album. It has all of the usual hits such as "Somebody To Love," "White Rabbit," "Miracles," "With Your Love," "Count on Me," "Runaway," "Jane," "No Way Out," "We Built This City," "Sara" and "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" to name a few. Its great when you can listen to all of these great hits on one CD. ROCK ON!

This is going to be my next purchase, those songs bring back some "good" memories.cool.gif

  7. Hi ~tangerine~,

Somehow I missed your post originally and didn't mean to disregard it.

I was shocked at how many minutes passed before anyone acted in the back of the room. I don't know how long it was because I couldn't see in the back. But the lecturer did yell to call 911 right away once he realized that something was wrong. And someone must have called, because the paramedics arrived very quickly, surprisingly so, within 5 minutes or so. The fire station had to be close by. This happened near Kings Island, an ammusement park, so the station was near by for it. I wouldn't have hesitated to do CPR if I was close to him.

And it was extremely weird to me that everything went on like nothing happened, like it was an everyday occurence that someone has a heart attack all the time. And no one said a word, not even the lecturer, about what happened. I asked the organizer after the class was over if he heard how the doctor was doing, and he didn't know, but stated that the squad didn't speed away after they loaded him in, so that was not a good sign. I was only one of two people who stayed afterward to find out how he was doing!

I think that everyone was in shock.

And the crowd psychology definitely took over, and no one wanted to look un-cool and show any emotion at the situation.

sad.gif What a sad world we live in.

Several years back there was a similar situation where I work, we have a carrier station behind the vehicle maintenance shop which would be a good 50 yards to walk from there to our shop.

One day this supervisor walked over to the shop to ask if anyone knew cpr?blink.gif

They had about 70 people working back there many of which are veterans of the military and I'm sure several of them had been taught cpr in the military.

No one wanted to do anything for their fellow co-worker?ohmy.gif

I just couldn't stand there and do nothing!dry.gif
