Yeah, me too. That song kills me. When I first heard it, I didn't think it was Robert speaking at the end, because he sounds so different. The bass is what makes that song for me, though. It makes me want to grab JPJ and kiss him.

I wanted a Marie doll when I was a kid, but I didn't get one. Now I sit on the computer in a Zeppelin forum talking about UFO's and religion. Marie, you could have saved me from all this.

I've loved The Crunge since the first time I heard it- I would choose it to play for a non Zeppelin fan, to convert them. IMHO (30 years of playing different styles of music behind me) it is one of their best. But maybe it's just a matter of different strokes for different folks.

We have all manner of religious nutters (like the leader of the free world). I don't mind the Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons coming around, I think they're nice. The Mormons were just here yesterday, but I said No, thanks. I let a Jehovah's witness in a few times about 10 years ago, and she was really cool. Then I told her thanks, but no thanks. I just wanted to hear what she had to say.

I have friend who went to Norway to visit relatives and the locals were cracking up at the Americans who wanted to go to church. Someone had to go find the preacher guy to preach to them. My friend asked her relative why no one there went to church, and the person said because they see it as a historical thing, or a national heritage thing. She said "We go there all the time to tend the flowers!" All I'm sayin' is look at Norway and how people are doin' over there in general......pretty damn good. On the other hand, I know people for whom religion is a great comfort, esp. in difficult times. So, whatever works for the individual.

I understand and respect Electrophile's point, and your points. Too bad more people can't be more like you guys. It makes me sad when people from England have better respect for separation of church and state than we do. What the hell is this country about when we're fighting like kids in a sandbox over gods and religions. The older I get, the sadder it makes me.

I understand how you could fall asleep. When I was 14 I saw a man standing at the foot of the bed at my friend's house. I was alone because I felt sick, so I laid down with a magazine. My friends all took off and went somewhere. While I was laying there reading the magazine I saw a man standing at the foot of the bed, but when I put the magazine down to look, he was gone. I fell asleep! No one was in the house with me, so...weird. But I wasn't scared at all, until I told my friends about it later. Strangely enough, my parents also told me I was talking to the walls in the corner of our kitchen. My dad said I woke him up in the night when I was about two and led him by the hand to the corner and pointed at the wall. He said my eyes were huge and it made the hair on his neck stand up. Dammit, now I have to go to bed and I'm creeped out. Thanks a lot, Bonham!

Has anyone seen the 90's British show, "Keeping Up Appearances?" In the 90's, I actually had a neighbor like that woman! Just like the show, her house and yard were spotlessly perfect, and she was constantly yelling at her husband to do things. Just like the show, he was quiet and beaten. She thought she was the queen of the neighborhood and never let you forget it. When I saw her I ran, or crossed to the other side of the street....just like the neighbors on the show! God, she was a pain in the ass.

When I was a kid, I was amazed to find out how many singers/bands on the radio were from England, because they sounded American. The first one that blew my mind was Clapton's "Lay Down Sally." Then my mom started listing off all the other bands who were from England, and I could not believe it. Zeppelin REALLY blew my mind, ESPECIALLY JP, because of that funny little voice of his! The contrast between that and his playing still tickles me Why do we like him? He's cute, he's weird, and he plays the fuck outta that GI' TAR!
