  1. Freezing! It is going to get down to -1 degrees overnight.
  2. All I remember was the Benny and Joon soundtrack. Don't remember about a TV show.
  3. I like the "500 Miles" song. It reminds me of the Johnny Depp film Benny and Joon. It was on the soundtrack.
  4. Fight the Power-The Isley Brothers
  5. I wish I had the day off to watch it on TV, but it is going to be historic!! He knows he has a tough road ahead of him and I have faith that things will get better.
  6. What Is and What Should Never Be-96.3 WROV, on my way home from work today.
  7. I hope Jimmy makes it there and congrats to Jeff for his upcoming induction! That would be awesome to see them onstage together.
  8. Cool article. It would be a dream to see Prince on stage with them. I do remember Robert saying he was a big fan of his.
  9. Neil Young!! Cool sig too! I remembered hearing about this when I saw Rick James' Behind the Music a few years back.
  10. There are too many that like them and I bet some who wouldn't dare say they don't out loud! LOL. Anyways, I have heard Nikki Sixx say he is not a big fan only because he thought they were "stuck in the blues musically and didn't go much further" something like that he told Rolling Stone a couple of years back. Also, years ago I was watching TV and on VH1 they had a show called "The List" when people were picking their favorite bands and Johnny Rzeznick of the Goo Goo Dolls was hosting and he said he hated Zeppelin growing up but he preferred Page, Jones and Bonham only but that "Robert Plant's gotta go". Sounded more like he had issues with Robert's singing, instead of the bands music. I do think it is cool when Jack White said "I don't trust anyone who DOESN'T like Zep" and also Dave Mustaine said that "It is odd NOT to like Zep". Just shows how powerful their influence is.
  11. Oh, ok. Yep he was part of the Motown family.
  12. I respect your opinion although I totally disagree!! I am glad Robert went a route that no one expected. What were people expecting really when they say it is boring though? Anyways hey more for me to enjoy with the next album, hehe.
  13. Everybody Have Fun Tonight-Wang Chung
  14. You never heard of him? He was funky!! Aside from "Superfreak", he had some other great tunes: "Bustin Out", "You and I", "Dance Wit Me", "Give it to me Baby" , etc. He also recorded a few tunes with Teena Marie (Lovergirl, Square Biz) produced the Mary Jane Girls (All Night Long, In My House) and also produced Eddie Murphy's "Party All the Time". He passed away in 2004, R.I.P. Rick. Check his music out on YouTube, I think you will like it.
  15. Exactly. I think if Jimmy REALLY wants to make some sort of new music he will, regardless if the others are on board.
  16. Great pic and thanks for sharing!! Nope, never heard of her either. Someone on Alison's messageboard at CMT.com has started referring to Robert as "Yoko Ono" because they think he is halting a Union Station record! Absurd isn't it? I was like, "oh no, not this crap on this board"!! What were you expecting, a dance record?
  17. Robert is scheduled to be back in Nashville this week to go into the studio with Alison and T-Bone.
  18. Happy 50th Motown!! I cannot imagine my life without Motown music, I have been listening to it my whole life!! Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Rick James, The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Marvelettes, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Jackson 5......I could go on and on. Wow, what wonderful music Motown has brought us!
  19. Under The Bridge-Red Hot Chili Peppers
  20. Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen Roses-Kathy Mattea
  21. A piece of flounder, a piece of catfish, coleslaw and a baked potato. For desert I had a slice of chocolate mouse cake, delicious!!
