  1. They can go hand in hand I think, but it is the sound of the music first that gets me going.
  2. VH1-classic aired "The Song Remains the Same" this afternoon and I saw that part on D&C and I know exactly what you mean about the bass part hooking you and then when Jimmy comes in.......ah, powerful stuff!!
  3. Agreed beatbo!! I know I would be a bit intimidated standing onstage next to Robert! Yes, Alison is alot more relaxed and loosens up more with Union Station. Back to the topic, I certainly agree with Paul about them not being the same without Robert.

  7. No HYE watched a Christmas movie during the summer?
  8. That is very sad!! I heard about it on the news earlier. It is so ridiculous that some people act like maniacs turning violent just to catch a sale, it is so not worth it!! I wouldn't be in those crowds for anything.
  9. Trampled Underfoot has to be my favorite! Jonesy has alot of soul in his bass and keyboard playing.
  10. What I love about Zep is not only the hard rock they brought to their music, it is the blues influences in it as well. I grew up on the blues, jazz, r&b and gospel and the Zeppelin members influences were many blues and r&b artists as well so that shows in alot of their music. They have so many different styles that I think just about anyone can relate to it. As far as hip hop/rap, it seems many of those artists use alot of Zep samples, well in particular, the Beastie Boys on "License to Ill". I was reading Rolling Stone mag last year and Wyclef Jean said something along the line of, "there isn't a hip hop producer out there that doesn't know a Zeppelin beat, the drum sounds as a producer, you live to sample that, they are the blueprint of rock." I thought wow, that is an awesome compliment!! I think Zeppelin has a little bit of something for everyone.
