  1. Hey that is so cool you guys got to see him live! I really like his style, the jazzy, laid-back feel to his music. Reminds me alot of Steely Dan(another huge fave of mine).
  2. Personally, I think the lives of celebs back then were much more interesting and mysterious than they are now. I don't mean all of the partying, I mean by how many of them, even movie stars, were able to keep some sort of private life, so when you did see them or read about them, it was actually exciting, but now there is so much paparrazzi, tabloid mags, reality shows, etc that the world has become celebrity obsessed more than ever and is gone totally out of control and I don't find any of it interesting! So now, those who are able to still keep as much of their private life private, I have much more respect for them, than those who love to keep their names in the paper and on TV 24/7!!

    GQ Awards

Awww, this is a nice treat! I didn't even know they were even up for a GQ award. Body language aside, it is always nice to see them in pics together. Congrats guys!
  4. Yay, thanks so much ZeppFanForever!!!! I thought they were number 4 but wasn't sure! Rock on!!!!!
  5. Back in 1998, Kevin Bacon hosted a countdown on VH1 called "100 Greatest Artists of Rock and Roll". I remember the Beatles were #1, The Rolling Stones #2, Jimi Hendrix was #3 and Bob Dylan was 5th. But I don't remember where Zep ranked. I am thinking they were 4th. I am not talking about the "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" in which Carmen Electra hosted, because they were certainly #1 on that list! Does anyone remember where Zeppelin ranked on this particular countdown?
  6. Hey, I love all the classic soul singers too! You are certainly not alone Swede!! ^^Agreed, they are all amongst my faves too! Here are a few more from all genres: Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Robert Plant, Paul Rodgers, Steve Perry, Rod Stewart, Chrissie Hynde, Christina Aguilera, Fiona Apple, India Arie, Alica Keys, Alison Krauss and way too many more to name, otherwise I would be here all night, LOL.
  7. ^^ I like Kung Fu Fighting too! Makes me wanna bust out some karate moves, LOL!! Anyways, as far as "worst song" this is more like a song I get sick of when I hear it, I saw the video this morning, "Don't Worry Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin. It was ok when it first came out, but talk about overkill! I know I have many others, but that one got stuck in my brain!
  8. You Haven't Done Nothing-Stevie Wonder
  9. Ok. Speaking of accents, I have a southern twang which I am very proud of! Makes me mad when some folks from other parts of the state make fun of it! Some guy I met last year did that and I had to set him straight, like "don't make fun of my accent"!! LOL
  10. I just had a great meal at Ruby Tuesday's and just finished some banana pudding, yum! And I also have tomorrow off, yay!!!
  11. Agreed!! He wanted to do this performance and appeared to have a great time doing so! That is the most important thing and I say good for him!!
  12. ^^ Sebastian is pretty wild and hilarious but it is sweet to see him and Maria have such a great marriage! I too saw them on Supergroup and he was like a high schooler fawning all over his first love again! It does seem to be very genuine.
  13. Yes, I know it took a little over a year to totally complete Raising Sand. I was just guessing that there might be another tour if there is another album. I know her die hards are anxious for her to get back with Union Station, just as there are many of Robert's die-hards wanting him to get back with Zep or Strange Sensation. I will certainly keep reading Beverly Keel's articles. She does have great knowledge of what is happening in Nashville.
  14. Of course I am talking about the talented musician, not Michael's dad, LOL! Anyways, I think Joe is one of the greatest artists out there. I heard alot of his music when I was younger, but VH1 classic is playing the "80 hours of the 80's" videos all Labor Day weekend and last night I saw his videos, "Breaking Us In Two" and "Steppin Out". This got me to want to hear more stuff from him. This morning on You Tube I was listening to some of this other songs and I also really like "Real Men","Is She Really Going Out with Him?" ,"You Can't Get What You Want (Til You Know What You Want)", "Cancer" and "Sunday Papers". There was also another song I heard him singing on Craig Kilborn that I liked, can't remember the name of it though. Seems like I have just "re-discovered" him as an artist and I like his jazzy style. Any other fans out there?
  15. Yes, please keep us posted! How do these sources know for sure his work in Nashville will be "done" by the end of the year?? I can't see him and Alison making another album that quickly, since I am pretty sure they will tour again to support the follow up to Raising Sand, but it may not be until late 2009 early 2010 since she has to get back to work with Union Station. But then again, it depends on the time they want to get back into the studio together. It may not be until late next year at the latest.
  16. Wow, that doesn't look like Maureen at all to me, I guess because her head is down and she has red hair now, LOL! Would've never guessed it was her. Nice to see that she and Robert still have a great relationship with each other.
