  1. Most politicians everywhere are tarred with the same brush. Usually, it's party first, themselves second and the country last.
  2. Yes, we live in isolation with no common borders with any other country. We also have strict quarantine laws to protect our environment with zero tolerance to anyone who breaks them or misleads Customs. See Amber Heard who failed to declare or quarantine her dogs on a visit in 2015 and is facing potential perjury charges that comes with a possible 14-year prison sentence as well as heavy fines as a consequence. The biggest bullshitters to come out of America is Donals Trump and the aforementioned AH and they are both in trouble, with the FBI no less. The only bullshit we have here is comparable to other countries with that being the politicians and the media. Also, the BS on this forum and spurious internet sources by people who may have visited (I doubt it) but haven't lived here or in NZ for an extended period and wouldn't have a clue what life is like here and wouldn't know shit from clay. I'm interested to know what bullshit you're referring to. I don't profess to know what it's like to live in the US, UK or anywhere else for that matter so I don't make any assumptions. The only knowledge available is past history and what is reported in mainstream media, and I believe only half of what I see and not much of anything I hear or read.
  3. Not necessarily from the vaccine completely but in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise and common sense, something a lot of people on this forum clearly lack. J Osborne a case in point, What a gibberer..
  4. At least I've got a brain as opposed to you, dropkick.
  5. I thought you lost your job or at least you claimed you were going to? What happened with that? Btw, my immune system has been enhanced.
  6. I have been vaccinated and regularly interact with people at the supermarket and have been going to the cinema, UNMASKED and haven't contracted any covid 19 variants, as yet. So they're working for me.
  7. He is an Australian, not American so he doesn't vote in your elections. Your first clue was in his avatar, that being Oz.
  8. Hearing the news that another nutter who abuses the second amendment by killing people in Chicago who were attending an Independence Day parade. Interesting that the 4th of July celebrates America's independence from Great Britain and was the catalyst for the writing of the Constitution and the subsequent amendments. The irony is tragic but pales into insignificance compared to the loss of life and the broken lives of the survivors. Strange that there is a strong right to life movement in relation to banning abortions but not when it comes to guns being in the hands of "law abiding citizens" who shouldn't have had access to them in the first place. On another matter close to my home are the latest floods due to La Nina and heavy rains therein. This will be the second disaster this year alone. Over 50 thousand and rising residents are being forced to evacuate and most likely have lost almost everything bar the personal possessions they managed to salvage.
  9. Hearing that the police in Texas were reluctant to enter the school grounds and buildings because they weren't keen on facing the gunman with the weapons he had. Secondly, the answer to restricting if not stopping future insanity in schools was to arm the teachers. Only in America,
  10. Joe Rogan is a wanker. As if any government would ban growing fruit and vegetables at their own home in an attempt to "smoke out" anti-vaxxers.. Just goes to show his lack of fact checking and due diligence when it comes to reporting such defamatory and libelous garbage. Joe Rogan busted talking about fake Australian law to ban growing food at home (9news.com.au)
  11. You people? I've lost nothing and I'm not afraid of Russia even though Putin is a loose cannon. I am concerned over China's involvement in the Pacific.
  12. Pfft! What argument? I thought this was a discussion not a debate After. all this is a forum. What's with the insults? What part of JohnOsbourne is an imbecile don't you understand? Btw, stay off the booze because surely you couldn't be that thick sober!?
  13. It doesn't matter who commits atrocities they are evil acts. I remember a certain Lt. Calley involved in war crimes at My Lai in Vietnam and he paid for his crimes. Even now we have a trial going on here involving a highly decorated soldier accused of war crimes in Afghanistan. Evil resides everywhere.
  14. Incorrect. Russia is totally wrong in invading Ukraine and incidents of war crimes like the bombing of maternity hospital are very unreasonable. The Soviet Union broke up decades ago but Putin is hell bent on restoring it at any cost. China is supporting Russia and that is a concern.

    ANZAC Day

ANZAC Day once again. The disaster at Gallipoli, Turkey, 25th April 1915 and the recapture of Villiers-Bretonneux, France 25th April 1918. LEST WE FORGET.
  16. If China does build bases in the Solomon Islands (by stealth?), it will become a big problem for both Australia and the USA. While the Solomon Islands don't border the US mainland, they are not that far from American Samoa and Hawaii and would be potential targets along with Australia and other smaller Pacific nations. Allies protect each others interests and provide assistance in many things, like fighting fires, humanitarian aid after natural disasters, supplying munitions and equipment to Ukraine and when needed, military involvement. We don't need the USA to defend us per se, just to stand together as we have for the last century or so. Same as the UK. Europe (NATO), is no more important than Oceania or anywhere else in the world where there are Australian and American interests, for that matter . We have a federal election next month so it'll be interesting moving forward depending on which party wins government. As per usual the politicians dropped the ball and Covid proved to be a distraction for the Chinese to conduct negotiations with the Solomon Islands, for economic purposes(?).
  17. Yes, Chill a big shock. He was a larrikin. I don't know if you remember Rod Marsh, wicket keeper, passed away yesterday as well.
  18. My friend and lead guitarist of our band passed away during the night. Rest peacefully Tony.
  19. I'd like to thank China and the USA for putting the world in this position for creating and spreading the virus in the first place. What is disturbing about the church incident apart from the police is that someone dobbed them in. This just in and sure to upset a few people. Crown Resorts accepts $8.9 billion takeover bid from American private equity firm Blackstone (9news.com.au)
  20. Good close game down to the wire. The year of the Tiger? Not for Cincinnati.
  21. Settle, petal, (thanks Julie). Whether Blackstone is reputable or not, they are still an investment company. If you have a bank account does that make you complicit in the dodgy goings on within the banking sector? No. It'd be more concerning if someone bought shares in that company rather than sell something to them. Davos? Btw, I am neither naive nor gullible. You may not agree with me and that's fine but don't insult my intelligence by making unfounded statements about what my political views or my beliefs are.
  22. It was humurous, love. I didn't find it offensive at all contrary to what others may think.
  23. I'm no leftie. I do have a sense of humour and i did think it was funny but i stand by my comment. Memes are a product of the I and Me generation as the name MEME implies,
  24. Another example of insipid, bullshit memes.
