  1. OK, here goes. Blackstone is an investment company. Like most corporations they invest in many businesses. So they employed a FORMER CEO of Pfizer as an advisor, So What? That doesn't prove any of them have any affiliation to Pfizer. Jeffrey B. Kindler retired rom Pfizer in 2010. A decade before Covid, He had nothing to do with the Covid vaccine production. I think you may have misread the meme, Neil Young never sold his 50% share of his catalogue for $1B. The quote was, " Blackstone and Hipgnosis Song Management launch a $1 billion partnership to invest in recorded music, music IP and royalties." Neil Young retracted the initial Spotify request (something I mentioned before), and issued a new one. Even he knew Spotify would not let Rogan go in spite of them losing billions of market value. Rogan admitted that some misinformation had been given in some of his podcasts. For the record there has been a lot of misinformation and conflicting data spread from all sides over the last two years.
  2. Yes I have. As i always do with all the other posts with dubious assumptions, presumptions and / or sources.. Hipgnosis is a UK based company formed in the 1970's that started out creating artwork which included album covers for Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Yes and AC/DC to name a few. Since then they have acquired catalogues from various bands and performers. All this hating on Neil Young, I don't understand. He can be abrasive at times and what he originally posted was an error in judgement to which he removed and rewrote. I don't always agree with his politics but I will always love his music, I even wrote and recorded a song about him. One of the reasons he is pro-vaccination is he suffered from polio as a child. He has done more (hands on) work for charity than all of the major corporations put together. He recently auctioned off most of his guitars (I was going to bid for a Fender Telecaster but it was out of my price range) and other instruments etc. and some of his model railway collection (that he built for his son Ben who suffers from cerebral palsy). Why? To raise funds for the Bridge School for Autistic Children. Something you are very familiar with. He also raised millions for the people of Haiti after the disaster there. Don't forget Farm Aid created by him, John Mellencamp and willie Nelson. Providing more assistance for American farmers than their own government. As for Spotify, artists are only paid 0.0037 cents per streaming. Ripping off the performers. Even Joe Rogan has issued a video apologising for getting some of the podcast "information" wrong and admitting he was a Neil Young fan. Google it.
  3. Spotify lost 2.8 billion in market value. Go figure.
  4. Come on Julie, what's with the generalisation that ALL wealthy people are elites? Are you so brainwashed or just prejudiced against rich people? I've never considered myself a minion, have you? A case in point, here in Oz at $200 a head. If that's not profiteering, I don't know what is. NRL star’s wife runs anti-vaxxer workshop, refuses to vaccinate kids | news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site. Fine if you are concerned. Unfortunately there have been deaths but compared to how many have died from complications with the various strains, mostly those with existing illnesses during the pandemic globally, the risk is very small but still very real. The majority of fatalities were the aged with a few exceptions of healthy younger folk and yes it is a concern. There are more than you think. they've only come to light since covid but have been around for years, they won't vaccinate against anything. Since when have they been mandated, as law in Australia? Never. Some companies and organisations have made them part of their employment policy and no, I don't agree with that at all. Btw, I have two adult daughters, one has had the vaccinations and the other has not. Both made their decisions themselves. Have I disowned or hassled the latter? No, I support her choice and she lives with me.
  5. I know about them. I researched them a while ago. Cartel would be a better classification than Vanguard. Surely it shouldn't matter how much wealth someone has accumulated but how they acquired it and what they choose to do with it. Paul McCartney is a billionaire so does it apply to him, just because he has that much wealth? Both of them donate millions to charity. as does Bill Gates(who for some unfathomable reason, think he's a sort of Anti-Christ and is corrupting people's DNA and implanting microchips. These are examples of some of the rantings applicable to extreme anti-vaxxers. IMO, an anti-vaxxer is someone who refuses to be vaccinated based on hysteria brought about by spreading false information and not limited to, making a profit out it. I hope that finally clarifies it for everyone.
  6. Where does this comment imply ALL people? It doesn't. Btw, we do have enough. What has Elon Musk got to do with any of this? He made his fortune from building and selling electric cars and space rockets? You accused me of labelling ALL people who choose not to vaccinate as anti-vaxxers. Which was completely untrue. Yet you are doing the same thing by implying ALL corporations and / or CEO's are bad or have evil intentions and are elitists. So are you saying that successful companies who employ thousands of workers where the founders are earning rewards for providing services are evil? There are many capitalists who are ruthless and put profits before anything else and that is not only wrong but immoral. Black Rock falls into that category. As for Vanguard do you mean Vanguard Investments or the definitions thereof, a group of people leading the way in new developments or ideas. or, a position at the forefront of new developments or ideas. or, the foremost part of an advancing army or naval force. Pharmaceutical companies have always been profitable and in many cases exploit medical situations. If you want to vaccinate, go for it and if you don't, don't.
  7. Apologising for authoritarianism!? Hardly. Unlike you I am a free thinker and not blinded by stupid radical websites. Is that the best retort you can come up with? Pathetic.
  8. I have never called all people who don't vaccinate anti-vaxxers. I have always said SOME. Get your facts straight. My knowledge of the "subject" is well read and researched unlike others on here who are ruled by emotion or other agendas.
  9. Ok, Immigration made the statement. I had been pre-occupied for a few days for personal reasons and also following what happened in Tonga, so I missed Hawke's interview. Political scare mongering. However, Djokovic wasn't deported for spreading anti-vax sentiments, he lied on his visa application, period. Also, Tennis Australia fucked up. Of course, anti-vaxxers blindly jumped to his defence. How can you compare it to Russian Hackers? It's a completely different situation. We are hardly experiencing civil unrest. Except for a couple of demonstrations that got out of hand most demonstrations are peaceful. They're not as serious as the carnage the US rioters cause(d). They have destroyed almost as many businesses as Covid. We have enough anti-vaxxers (without importing them) here, some have legitimate medical reasons and others are just plain scammers who charge $300 just to hear them spruik their uninformed nonsense. Usually just personal opinions and not based on scientific facts. I suspect that some anti-vaxxers are part of the exploitation of Rapid Antigen Testing kits by selling them at inflated prices. Something that has started in recent days, particularly online. While I haven't contracted Omicron so far as I am taking precautions, it is possible that I will soon, if the numbers increase at the rate they are now. I'm not worried as it could be beneficial having anti-bodies added to my immune system.
  10. That is bullshit. Typical lawyerspeak, twisting words and taking them out of context. What the government said right or wrong, is that if you mislead or lie about your vaccination status or getting the virus regarding medical exemptions and he got away with it, it would set a dangerous precedent. He had his visa cancelled (twice) and was deported because he lied on his visa application, so it's all on him. Had he told the truth in the first place he would be competing in the AO. His defence, it was an "accident" that the wrong box was ticked by an associate. Every online application whether it be setting up an account or submitting information to whomever, there is always the question, "is the information correct?" before finalisation of the transaction. Incompetency is no defence nor is ignorance. If it happened to a foreigner in Serbia they (the Serbian Government), would do the same thing and most likely imprison, not detain in a hotel. Furthermore, Djokovid blatantly lied about giving children a tennis clinic the day after testing positive to the virus negligently exposing them to infection and in total defiance or stupidity, videoed the event. All this may bite him on the arse when it comes to Wimbledon and US Open. France (still spewing over the submarines), has given him the green light for Roland Garros but that could change.

  13. Evil in this world!? All you have to do is look around and see the violence and crime to realise the evil that is lurking in plain sight. Yes it does run deep. Look at the TV evangelists who preach yet commit all manner of evil including pedophilia and fraud to name a couple. Disgraced politicians from Presidents, Prime Ministers to Local Government officials mostly motivated by greed. Terrorism. Organised Crime and corrupt Police etc. The list goes on. Some of you are saying we are in the End Days. Here's a tip we have been in the End Times since 25th December 1. Here's another one for the Symbologists. This credit card was big in Australia and New Zealand between 1974 - 2006. Shows you how stupid the company was. When it was launched Bankcard sent out unsolicited cards with $300 credit to almost the whole adult population, at least in Australia. Consequently going broke because they struggled to recover their self imposed debt as they were deemed gift cards, and hardly anyone paid them back. For the record I did eventually, before the judgement was handed down but it was the right thing to do. As for Djoker he brought it all on himself by not declaring his vaccination status and failed medical exemption. Had he told the truth, he would've been allowed entry, subject to 7 days quarantine. The irony is all the bullshit would've been avoided and he would be practicing for the AO now. His father even compared him to Jesus, what a tosser.
  14. England are showing what they are capable of with the bat, particularly Bairstow and Stokes. Anderson is rock solid as always, Broad never gives up and Wood is going well too, even the spinner Leach has lifted, but, they are missing Stokes with the ball.. I was surprised they risked further injury by playing Stokes. Some of the tactics have been very strange from the outset.
  15. Every time I think there must be some limit to the bullshit illogical and irrational people come up with trying to justify ZeroCred and the like, I realise there isn't. Stay safe in Mordor or else you may end up like Gollum before he fell into the lava.
  16. Based on common knowledge and data it is plausible that the current pandemic could be over sometime in 2023. Why, you ask? There have been only two global pandemics in history, The Spanish Influenza 1918 - 1921 and the current one. The Bubonic Plague of the 1300's was limited to only Europe and parts of Asia. The former is incorrectly named because unlike other western governments who suppressed information (and in some cases blatantly lied and misled their citizens), Spain actually reported the truth about the virus and as a consequence it was labelled "Spanish Flu." The reason it is all wrong is firstly, Spain was neutral during WWI with no military presence and secondly the disease originated in the trenches of France and Belgium etc. so it could easily have been called either French or Belgian Flu . The first case documented was an American returned serviceman in Kansas. There are two similarities to both events. 1. They were global and affected every country. 2. The death rate was high. Another factor is back in 1918 service men and women were repatriated back to their homeland mixing with and transmitting it to other nationalities (allies) and even former enemies. Today we have tourism. The "SF" peaked in 1920 and was eradicated in the first quarter of 1921. Less than three years after it claimed hundreds of millions of lives. Considering there was no special or medical treatments available except hospitals that were stretched to the limit gives us some hope that it'll be over sooner rather than later. Today we have had three strains (so far). Covid 19, the Delta Variant and now Omicron. Covid was devastating at first then it seemed to be on the way out when Delta hit and caused more deaths and infections worldwide. Omicron in more infectious than the previous strains, yet the survival rate and general sickness is much lower than before. It came as no surprise that the vaccines would eventually be ineffective against other strains / variants. Such is the nature of viruses. We appear to be following a trend set in 1918 - 1921. Although it looks like it will be a little longer than back then and as long as no further variants occur we may well be on the road to recovery.
  17. Another pile of bullshit from ZeroCred. One state does not Australia make. This worthless, inaccurate and most unreliable news source is a boil on the arse of journalism.. Btw, "Novax" Djokovic has had his visa cancelled and denied entry into Melbourne, Australia because he failed to provide proof to allow a medical exemption from vaccinations and quarantine will most likely be sent home and miss the AO. No-one is above the rules of entry to any country and after all he is only a tennis player and an arrogant one at that. Some on here keep banging on about how the survival rate is at 98%. That's great. The issue is to minimise the spread of infection. I'm not worried about dying (from it), I just don't want to get ill from the virus, period. I chose to inoculate and will continue to do so whenever I consider it necessary. If you don't want to get vaccinated, then don't!
  18. Not so much a purchase by me but a gift from my daughter. Dave Grohl, The Storyteller.
  19. Well, that didn't take long. Three down, two to go. Hopefully the Poms put in a better batting effort in Sydney (their bowlers who are the only players keeping England in the matches so far). Chin up Chillumpuffer.
  20. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!
  21. They played well today. Root and Malah steadied the ship after Burns was left wanting, again. Still a long way to go,.
