  1. Jimmy played a Fender Telecaster with a B Bender installed.
  2. I wonder if Zerosense reported this? I seriously doubt it. Unless it's doom and gloom and distorted facts or fake news they won't have a bar of any positivity. Such a sad lot of human beings.
  3. We do not have a domestic terrorism problem, although like other western countries we do have extremist terrorists in our midst that threaten to attack at any time.
  4. The only interest Australia and America have with Taiwan is trade. Of course I don't support any wars, however, when a country attacks or invades another then it's only natural they defend their homeland. As Bob pointed out we had no choice but to take action against Japan just like America did. Remember Pearl Harbour? Both allies stopped the advance in New Guinea. Personally, I think Taiwan, The Ukraine and Syria is China's, Russia's and Syria's concern but considering Americas past history of defending democracy and freedom in general, I doubt they would sit back and do nothing. They are difficult situations that hopefully diplomatic solutions are possible. Time will tell. We're nobody's bitch.
  5. So says the exspurt, (exspurt - a has been or never was crossed with a drip under pressure) on Australia who has never been here or anywhere else outside of the US (or so it would seem). Check your history. Australia and the USA have been allies for nearly a century and have been involved in many conflicts together including WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Our, and New Zealand's commitment has always been greater than any other countries per capita. Dissent? We too have freedom of speech, it's not just limited to America. Have a nice day. .
  6. R.I.P. Dean Stockwell. Dean was a close friend of Neil Young. After The Goldrush was supposed to be the soundtrack for a movie of the same name. Dean wrote the screenplay (see the album's liner notes) and was to star in the film, presumably as the gambler. It never eventuated. He also co-directed and co-wrote Neil's film, Human Highway and appeared alongside Neil, Russ Tamblyn, Dennis Hopper and Devo. Kim is in my top ten of his movies where he appeared alongside Errol Flynn. He was a very versatile character actor..
  7. If I were a Queenslander I would definitely fight against that. What a stupid idea of yours. At least you're a consistent recalcitrant.
  8. I don't dob on anyone. For the dummies that means inform on. I've read 1984 too. Freud would have a field day with you too.
  9. We do have free hospital and medical care here as well through the public health system and what you call medical insurance. My taxes have paid for all of those services. They're called Medicare and Medicare Private and there are many other private health funds. Our vaccinations are free as well as Covid testing. Education is also free through the public school system and like health care there are private schools and universities available. Once people have retired they receive a pension from the government, tax free along with other benefits such as free car registration and licence renewal, free travel for long trips twice a year and concessions for city and metropolitan public transport. We also have superannuation where the employer pays 10% of salaries / wages into a fund with the option of employees to contribute whatever they wish. I am proud to be an Australian living in the best country on the planet, bar none and I'll defend it to the death. Our system is similar in many ways to the U.K., U.S.A., Canada etc. However we are not neo-liberal (whatever that is, although I know it means new liberal), the difference to all other countries is we actually care and look out for all our people, even the idiots, by providing the above services. We believe they are basic human rights, not privileges. Your ignorance of my country beggars belief yet you criticise it ad nauseum and make ridiculous statements based on assumptions and believe everything but the truth. Onya Gollum.
  10. Never has nor will it ever occur where I live. This taken from Zerosense. “SPER was undertaking “active enforcement” on another 18.4 per cent of fines, worth about $1 million, which a spokesman said “may include garnishing bank accounts or wages, registering charges over property, or suspending driver licences”. The remaining 25.2 per cent of fines were either under investigation or still open to payment without further action being taken. Misleading. The headline implies they are doing this now, not that they may in the future. Queensland like Victoria and W.A. have always taken a hardline and obviously it's just revenue raising and that's why I would never reside there. Wtf is happening in the good old USA, you know the land of the free? Ironically, nothing is free, not even basic medical care and it's a wonder you don't have to pay for the air you breathe. Harvard Business College, the bastion of American Capitalism, has a lot to answer for. Is it mere coincidence that most if not all corporate criminals graduated from that esteemed institution? A good example of American commonsense was the Sub Prime Lending Scheme (read as fiasco), that failed miserably and forced repossession of peoples homes with many (presumably), becoming homeless. You wouldn't know commonsense even if it bit you on the arse..
  11. Exactly. They are to protect the unvaccinated. Just because one is vaccinated doesn't mean they can't spread the virus and there are a lot of asymptomatic people out there. Vaccines only offer protection from getting ill. nothing more It amazes me that apart from the few who actually have a phobia about needles or have a valid medical exemption, the excuses for not being inoculated are quite bizarre. For example, microchips (that could only be seen under a powerful microscope), DNA altering and my personal favourite, the mark of the beast. I wonder if the latter ever considered that the vaccine(s) were sent by God. They are akin to those who don't vote yet constantly complain and criticise the government yet, they may have been able to change things if only they got off their arses and voted. Would the very same people who advocated against vaccinations have a change of mind if they caught Covid and ended up in ICU attached to a ventilator? I agree that vaccinations should not be mandated nor a condition of employment but voluntary. My body, my choice. Unfortunately governments and corporations don't share that view.
  12. Daniel Andrews and his government will most likely be voted out at the next Victorian state election. The Premier and their ministers of all Australian state governments and to a lesser extent local governments are accountable to the people and a change is long overdue in some areas and, unlike other countries the majority of our citizens vote. International and domestic travel has commenced for the fully vaccinated. NSW has a new leader and he brought in many changes in his first week including mandating no more extreme lockdowns and abolishing compulsory hotel quarantine for returning expats they now quarantine at their homes instead. Of course this another example of positivity that wasn't reported by Zerohedge, so no surprises there. Just to clarify, lockdowns may be brought in where necessary in the event of a breakout but they will only be for a few days to lessen the impact. Crackdowns weren't as severe in NSW compared to other states. Last week I caught a train for the first time in a long time. There was a police presence (which is nothing new), patrolling the train checking tickets and except for one person not wearing a mask it was a non issue. The person had one but forgot to put it on so he donned it, the cops thanked him and moved on. No scene or heavy handedness. There were teams of cleaners sanitising hand rails, doors and other touch areas etc. as well. Another commonsense approach. What is happening in NZ? Who knows? Adern is a bit of a worry but it's their problem to sort out. Our borders are slowly opening up again with the whole continent expected to be open in early 2022.
  13. Another piece of bullshit. I don't have the app nor do I have to upload it and I don't give a fuck what you think. It was mooted by the Government but the Police refused to endorse or enforce it here in NSW. Typical, Zerocred only pushing their agenda and only giving one side of the situation and stretching the truth, as usual. Isolated incidents or not, some of them are staged by attention seeking, tinfoil hatted, flat earth, exhibitionist loonies as you recently agreed to. You are ennui personified.
  14. Same old claptrap from ZeroCred and the dropkicks therein who only concentrate on isolated incidents in Victoria only to lump it all on the whole country which is not only misleading but outright untrue. Some positive facts. NSW - Greater Sydney is out of lockdown. NO masks required in workplace offices or outdoors. They are still required at supermarkets and any places (indoors) where crowds are expected to gather. Sports, both community and professional have resumed. International and domestic flights and cruise ships to resume from November 1. Regional LGA's (Local Government Areas), to reopen as soon as 80% (fully) vaccinations have been reached and that could be by the end of October. Victoria - Greater Melbourne will be out of lockdown later this week. Queensland - To open their borders as early as November 19 but definitely on December 17. Families will be able to reunite for the Christmas Holidays. A.C.T., Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia borders open over the next few months. All reliant on 80% vaccinations target. Restrictions easing by the day. Australia is approaching 90% fully vaccinated. The way things are progressing the whole country will be open in the New Year so all the shit we have put up with over the last few months will be things of the past. Too bad that spurious website didn't report any of this and only focused on negativity. Btw, I am neither a cop nor a lawyer. I base my judgements based on facts and research and non-reliance on Google and the like.
  15. Had the person not posted and bragged about it on Facebook, the Police wouldn't have known about them attending the demonstration and this would've been a non event. Stupid is as stupid does. Also, personally I believe the Police overstepped the mark and the person was very rude to them which didn't endear themselves to the cops and as history has shown they have zero tolerance, right or wrong they don't care and will arrest more often than not. They're reputation is well known for their shoot first, questions later attitude. I do agree with the person's statement that the Police are serving the government and not the people. No surprise down there. The report is flawed. 1. Location unknown? Melbourne, Victoria. The person filming mentioned the name Andrews, the Premier of Victoria which I have mentioned on may occasions. 2. The editor should have recognised the police uniforms, after all the pictures and videos they've posted. A clear lack of due diligence. At least Zerohedge are consistent with their drivel and lack of research and facts. Yet again they post an isolated incident and sensationalise it to the hilt. Then someone replied and commented that, "Australia has fallen." No, if anything, Victoria has fallen.
  16. We don't have to wear masks outdoors anymore. Cheers Ross.
  17. No-one is fine with it. Too many recalcitrants. Truly predictable.
  18. Why can't you realise that pointing out certain things that are happening, does not mean any support for them? Social media, especially Facebook and Google have a lot to answer for. What kind of "principled stand" would you suggest? Storming our Government buildings like your "patriots" did to the Capitol Building, perhaps? We make changes by voting out those that deserve being thrown out and especially after going through all the bullshit dished out lately in Victoria. I expect a few States will have a new party and leadership in place when the next elections are held within the next 12 months or so. That depends on the size of the population. While there maybe a low risk of dying from the virus itself, there is a very high risk of dying from pre-existing respiratory and other serious health issues compounded by the virus and a very real risk of getting ill and hospitalised. It would seem you and many others are in constant denial that there is a problem. The only people "chastised" were those whose infected and refused to isolate for 14 days {really, is that too much to ask}, and damaging property and desecrating monuments to our fallen military services. I'm curious. if you condone wanton dishonour to your war dead? Surely not. Yes, we are known for our Merino sheep, best wool in the world and we made billions off of their fleeces.
  19. You're entitled to your opinions however misguided by spurious internet news services. Dismissive, really? Just stating the differences between the various states and how they've administered their own borders and restrictions etc. Anyone who uses apps on their smart phones are being "telescreened", along with using cameras on their laptops and PC's, so it's nothing new. As you know social media platforms use algorithms to present topics that are based on what users have either searched or participated in via their posts. Obviously you've ignored the fact that I don't support what the governments are doing nor do I support idiots who put others at risk, including themselves. I agree some of the measures taken were a tad extreme but totalitarian is a bit of a stretch given the term usually relates to communist countries which I assure you isn't the case here. Still on Victoria, today the Premier Daniel Andrews was fined $400 by Victorian Police for not wearing a mask! I'm looking forward to next week when I can resume rehearsing with my band and doing gigs again within NSW.
  20. Yes, our government dropped the ball for not going to an early lockdown instead of waiting until it was too late. We come out of lockdown on Monday. Certain restrictions will be lifted for the unvaccinated, fully vaccinated will be able to go to pubs etc. So it'll be interesting how that works out. I hope you can stay on track up there and don't have any outbreaks. Too bad about the Bunnies. Cheers to you too, mate.
