i feel that certain people can read my mind iam still a little paranoid when people look at me i still think of the same thing over and over again i just think don't be stupid you are a protector now you gotta protect your daughter no body can do such a thing or can they.. who cares then i set my mind on my daughters face and think of something funny she does she will never know how she has helped me she will know she changed my life but never know she is my medication i could never imagine how much one new life can change some one she is 3 now when she hits 18 i may tell her i can deal with this shit only because she is my doctor i was seeing i psych at a mental illness clinic and i would go 2 times a week then i stopped going due to the birth of my baby girl now 3 yrs gone by i feel like one big fukin rock has been lifted off my back and yes i do feel good
I had a similar thing,solved by my current girlfriend coming into my life.I'm very happy for you.

I'm back and feeling great.
Everything has gotten better,perscription lowered a week ago,I've been told it's going well.Just got internet back,am living in country.A while back a friend saved me from suicide,long,long,story,but I'd always loved this friend,and now we're together. She's unbelievably understanding and caring about my problem,and I love her.Anyway,my modem blew up, (I use a laptop) then the computer charger followed suit,only just got around to fixing that.Hope everyone out there remembers me!

I feel for you, it sounds like you've had a really tough time. I've been clinically depressed my whole life. My brother had it way worse, he had schizophrenia and was very, very sick. I finally saw a psychiatrist about 10 years ago, have been on anti-depressants and mood stabilizers since then, and it's made a big difference in my quality of life. A mistake I've made twice was thinking that I was better and didn't need the meds, stopping them, then hitting bottom again and having to go back on them. I used to think that taking the meds was a sign of weakness and that I should be able to control it on my own. But I'm learning to get over my ego and realize that it's best for me to stay on the meds. Each person has to make their own decision in this regard, but it's like any other disease of the body, it's just that there is still such a stigma attached to mental illness. It's good that you've told your friends, even though you haven't told your family. Having someone to talk to who understands your condition is important. I hope you hang in there with your medical professional and continue getting help.

it's such a stigma,isn't it?my family wouldn't uderstannd,they'd disown me,and there's a little more than paranoia talking,my dad once said "all schizophrenics should be shot because they're a danger to society" i AM considering it though!Thank you all

I've lived with someone with this condition, you should tell your family. But it's your decission just MHO.

Have they tested your blood sugar ? I've had some experience dealing with people with this condition and have been told by the society that increasing sugar levels from time to time can help control violent episodes. I have actually used this method to avoid potential problems.
They've said they will,It's been about 3 months since I started going to a psychiatrist and i've only been on meds for a month,it's gonna happen soon though,thanks.

Did they try varioud anti depressants? If so, do you think any of them work? I thought I had a tough time after my divorce 7 years ago and a Dr put me on prozac. It really seemed to help
They didn't try various ones because they are afraid of what my reaction would be to them,also,crossing schizophrenia medication with anti-depressants could be a bad idea,so they only have me on schizophrenia medication,the dosage got lowered recently
They said that in a few more weeks they're considering introducing an anti-depressant. -
Hello,i've been away for some time,this is a thread for everyone with a mental illness,I have always been depressed,several times i contemplated suicide and even made one attempt (Saved by a friend) I am now getting professional help,I have been diagnosed with clinical depression and schizophrenia,also apparently i am an ex multiple personality disorder sufferer,which i overcame without medical help which is "A testament to my strength of mind" (Or so my shrink says) and am on the meds,my friends have been supportive,my family doesn't know and i don't plan to tell them because i can function normally anyway,this thread is for people with any mental diseases,or friends/family of anyone with mental illness or learning disability,for support because believe me,i know how tough it is.

That's true and I had never noticed it before. They have a lot respect, there's nothing not to like about them really.
My friend was humming a tune the other day (she's no rock fan) and I just sat watching in bemusement because she had absolutely no idea what it was that she was humming, but she liked it. I told her it was the Boys Are Back in Town and we sang it. It's just one of those songs that are implanted into everyone's brains and makes you happy, no matter how little of it you know.
Thank god for those compliance chips!

Since Phil died, there have been a long line, almost an ARMY of people who have called me all the bad names under the Sun, I know Phil did NOT leave me without any credit on purpose, no-one thought he would die, even though a lot of people knew he was ill.
Those ignorant slanderers do NOT know the truth, that there was a really good reason for Phil not mentioning me on the 'credits', I was still Married to a Southern Irishman back then, but 'separated', we didn't want any more 'trouble', for Ireland, so my existence was not publicly acknowledged!
(except in the Music, where my 'real' name is mentioned quite a few times, including the place I used to live, after the Divorce!)
The people who still sell his 'merchandise' do not give me even the time of day, they are money grabbing sharks, who care nothing for the truth. The 'web' site, collects 'donations' of which I get
not one penny! The 'fraud', begins with black plastic, which is then turned into a black marble slab, similar to the one seen on the moon in the film '2001'.
It was NOT Phil's intention to defraud me, but some of his so called 'friends' have done that,
that wasn't his fault and he has no way of stopping them or setting things right..........

Yes let's talk about 'Lizzy' as a 'Band'..... they worked with quite a few musicians who don't get mentioned on the sleeves, including quite q few 'Gypsies and Travellers, including myself, (I Sing, play Mandolin, Guitar and Irish Drums.)
Believe or or not, not everyone wants their name in lights or be the center of attention.
(My Music is strictly 'LIVE', I only ever play at 'Gatherings' and 'Live Acoustic Sessions', usually camp fire stuff.)

And i heard that Phil's first band was "The Black Eagles" in a biography i read,can anyone confirm that?I heard that the band wanted Phil's uncle Peter (Who,according to the biography was only a few years older than Phil) to play and brought Phil in for one gig to entice Peter in,but Phil was so good they kept him instead,can this be confirmed?

The so called "plagiarists" and "frauds" have nothing on you,you want credit for Phil's work,if you deserved credit then Phil would give it to you,so show me one place where i can find a SINGLE reference to you,you call Phil's music 'our music' as if you produced the art,Iran Maiden are artists that do songs very differently to Thin Lizzy,the vocal style is different,Phil is deep,Bruce is high,guitar harmonies were invented by Thin Lizzy,but it's just a tool to create art,anyone can use it,Maiden has 3 guitarists,Lizzy only ever had 2,1 of Maiden's will always play in drop D,the others play independent solo's etc... It's counterpointed and takes more from J.S. Bach than Thin Lizzy,Steve Harris plays completely different basslines to Phil,they have NOTHING in common as bassists,Steve was more technically proficient,Phil was a better writer.Maiden did a cover of "Massacre",so what?They just love Thin Lizzy,they don't claim to own Phil's music like you do.

Ok,this is weird,i though it was obvious,but rumours such as "Oh you weirdo,you're connecting yourself to Iron Maiden because of Steve Harris aren't you?",then i ask how they came up with it and they say "OMG!Steve Harris calls himself "Bomber" Harris!" and then i'm confused.
Some people somehow chose to see it as deciding proof that i'm an asshole who says he knew Phil Lynott,then they tell me that they knew him and i'm not fit to hear his music and it just turns into a fight.
So,once and for all,Zeppelin's were big blimps that were in use a lot in WW2,they flew around the place,often crashing and burning,A "Led Zeppelin" would be completely useless and would crash even easier than a regular one.
So,Bomber aircraft were also around in WW2,used to bomb things.
Zeppelins were meant to be used to bomb things but were no good at it because they are slow.
So,i picked the name as a reference to aviation in WW2.
And after i explain this i'm told "DID YOU KNOW THERE WAS A REAL WAR VETERAN CALLED BOMBER HARRIS!?!?!?!?I wonder if Steve Harris knows?You are... And if I told you that my Band was 'The Boys', that I met Phil and 'Tin Lizzy' as the band was originally called back at the beginning of the seventies. That was after the band 'The Boys', me and Phil hit it off right from the beginning, and I told him about my band and that I'd left the 'straight' world to join the 'Peace Convoy'. Phil was always courting me, he told me a lot of the songs for for me and on some, we sang about my traveller friends and my Family.
The year he died, I was having a lot of trouble with 'Thatcher', who smashed up the 'Peace Convoy' and me, I was locked away, no trial, no charges!
When I got out eventually, everything had moved on, the 'lads' didn't want to know me, they would rather employ someone the 'play the part' for them, than give me any recognition.
I expect they'll be the same here, there are just too many plagiarists doing that these days.
'Bomber'?, my Dad was in the R.A.F., 'Bomber Harris' is a war veteran, 'Stevie Harris' of 'Iran Maiden' claims he is 'Bomber Harris', there's another here and God know how many people using names connecting themselves to me/and or Phil.

I love TBABIT as well,also WITJ,they were great.
I prefer John to Eric by far,but Eric did much more than John in the band,i showed my own picks for the best guitarists and the best just in the band alone,John only wrote one song (Cold Sweat) and did one album (Thunder & Lightning) with them,but he was better overall.
I just think it's a great song, and imagine that I would enjoy any version of it. It gets me fired up, for some reason. I saw a special on Ireland last night, where they said traditional Irish music is the most infectious and spirit lifting.True,but being Irish i've heard enough and now i can only associate it with a teacher i used to liken to an Irish nazi,he cracked down on English-speakers for no reason and would only play Irish folk,he turned me almost completely off it,i like the celtic sound,but a little known fact:
The irish patterns of unusual hammer-ons and pull offs originated from a simple sound that was just massively fucked up by drunken musicians who would speedily return to the correct note creating a distinctly Irish feeling to it,just my theory,our musicians would bastardize a song but return directly to the messed up note to cover up,now its done intentionally.
