  1. I mostly buy online. I haven't bought much music recently, and when I have, it was mostly vinyl...which is usually easiest to find online. When I buy in town, Best Buy is the first place I usually check, unless it's something obscure, or if I'm looking specifically for vinyl. My local indie store jacks up the prices too much for me to buy there all the time, and in the end, that's all I really care about. My money. Sure, it's nice to know I'm supporting the small guy, but I'm in college! Plus, the chick that runs the indie store is kind of a prick. If I happen to be in there and see something I like though, I'll buy it if I have the money.
  2. Amazing! :o I have never seen the movie. I wanna see. But until then, I'll just use my IMAGINATION
  3. The Krusty Krab Pizza episode is my favorite.
  4. Thanks! (if there were a mariachi smiley, I'd put it here ) Ok, I wasn't sure. A friend told me I slightly resemble John Lennon in that picture.
  5. Depends...how fast can you drive? What, robbing banks or the picture? Thanks though, I drew it on all by myself. It was for a Cinco de Mustache gig. My real mustache is blond and semi-invisible.
  6. Thank you! That's our "look tough" picture. We do a fair amount of smiling too.
  7. My band: Ash Tree Lane. I'm in the middle.
  8. I wish you had the guy in your sig's hair. That would be awesome.
  9. I've gone through several metal phases. I'll always have a special love for old Metallica. Also, Tool is in my 'old favorites' folder. But more recently, I've been into the more hardcore styles. Here's a short list: Misery Signals The Fall Of Troy The Bled Scary Kids Scaring Kids Norma Jean And so on.
  10. Yup. Did anyone else figure out the 10,000 Days sync?
  11. Not that I know of...and even if somebody has already invented the barbecue hot dog, chances are they use a bad bbq sauce. What a disgrace. So either way, we must pursue this idea and create the masterpiece we were meant to create! Redeem the bbq hot dog!

  12. Okayokayokay. I discovered a new band today, thanks to my college radio station. Always a great source for new music. 65daysofstatic. Holy crap. Instrumental experimental post rock with some electronica elements thrown in there. These guys can GROOVE. I got their album called The Fall Of Math, and it's just majestic. I REALLY recommend these guys.
  13. I'm a fan of southern metal....Norma Jean, John Henry Vs. The Machine kinda stuff.
  14. DUUUUUUUUDE, remember me? thedude89, Matt! Barbecue hot dog guy. :D

  15. Why thank yawwww DBZ. I too dig the pendant.
  16. Pictures from last night... I have never heard of an interrobang before. Seems quite unnecessary to me, but you know, to each his own.
  17. Well since this is a Zeppelin forum, I feel it's pretty safe to assume the majority of people here listen primarily to classic rock. Not that there's anything wrong with that! I remember those days quite clearly. Going through several pages in the other bands section, I saw an extremely small number of threads about current music, which is why I decided to make this thread in the first place. Some people who are really, really into classic rock have certain prejudices against current music, because of what's mainstream, so I thought I'd throw some stuff out there and see if anyone bites, maybe see if anyone here has tastes similar to mine, and also give others the same opportunity. Anyways, I didn't mean anything bad by it at all. I was just seeing if I could open someone's eyes just a little, and show them some great, new music.
  18. Thanks for all the recommendations! I'm liking this so far. Jaraxle, Tool and Portishead are great! Didn't know about Portishead's new album, I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks for the heads up. Another recommendation from me: Hella - math rock. AKA crazy weirdo jazz influenced rock. Very interesting. Great drummer. Only for the open-minded.
  19. Ok, I know this is a Zeppelin forum. Problem is, I grew tired of the old stuff long ago. So I really only listen to new music now. I know a lot of classic rock fans think it's all crap, and if this is your path of thought, please don't post negativity everywhere. I'm always looking for new music, so I thought I'd share some, and maybe get some in return. Sooooooo, new music recommendations? Indie, rock, metal, jazz, even rap and hip hop! Whatever the hell you want, whatever you think is good, post it! My recommendations: Stuff Zepheads might like - Rock: The Mars Volta, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, The Jai-Alai Savant, Portugal The Man More indie-style: The Bird And The Bee, The Parson Red Heads, Sondre Lerche (Dan in Real Life soundtrack, anyone?) Stuff Zepheads will probably make disgusted faces at - Hardcore metal, whatever other kinds of metal: Misery Signals, The Fall of Troy, John Vs. The Machine, Norma Jean, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Circle Takes The Square, A Life Once Lost Other: The Dear Hunter, edIT Post your own!
  20. I believe in me. And only me. You are all figments of my imagination. I am almighty. Hail me, imaginaries.
  21. Hey! Sorry it took me forever to greet you! I don't get on here very often. :P Thanks for the hug, I like it when my bones are all smooshed and whatnot. *returns hug*
