  1. I'm not sure about that.. If you bother, listen to the version I've added to myspace page, it's fucking deadly.. In my ears it can't sound better than this Then again, I prefer what they did around '65-'67, then what they did 1969 and forward..
  2. That's what most Television-fans use to say, but I have to disagree. I think it's almost as good as Marquee Moon, a bit different, but still worth checking out.
  3. I'd say most band's that sounds like Zeppelin sucks.
  4. The stuff they did as High Numbers are great as well, I'm The Face, Zoot Suit, Baby Don't You Do It..
  5. Absolutely. Got to mention Dickies too. They're version of Paranoid is cool. I love youtube, check this out: Sabbath's Paranoid get the punk rock treatment
  6. They are showing Coalminer's Daughter on TV, the 1980's movie about Loretta Lynn.. Pretty f'n good..
  7. I love The Who, ecpecially the early mod and r'n'b stuff. Unfortunatly I missed them when they went over here with the Quadrophenia tour in the late 90's, would've loved to seen that.
  8. How about Fu Manchu? F'n great band..
  9. Various Artists - The Psychedelic Scene 25 fantastic tracks that have been derived from the mid-'60s archives of U.K.-based Decca Records and associated subsidiaries like Deram. I highly recomend this CD to anyone into British psych. A couple of the tracks: 14 Hour Technicolour Dream - Syn Vacum Cleaner - Tintern Abbey Red Sky At Night - The Accent Colour Of My Mind - The Attack That Man - Small Faces Baby I Need You - Curiosity Shoppe In Your Tower - The Poets Love & Beauty - The Moody Blues and more..
  10. After reading the Rush thread I thought I had to check out some of their stuff, everything from Anthem and A Passage To Bankok to The Trees and YYZ. I thought a couple of tunes from Fly By Nighter was ok, but the rest, I just don't get it. Well, at least I have tried..
  11. Ooh, I forgot: Undertones, with songs like "Jimmy Jimmy" and "Teenage Kicks" The Adverts, mostly known for their song about murderer Gary Gilmore, "Gary Gilmore's Eyes"
  12. I really don't think it's because we associate his voice with it. Today it's been so many incarnations of Sabbath, so, at least the new crowd of Sabbath fans (80's and forward), has probably heard the Dio line-up as much as the Ozzy line-up. Even I, who grew up in the Heaven & Hell and Born Again-era, prefered the Dio line-up at the time. But no matter how you see it, IMHO, it's the first line-up which probably has the most personal and uniqe sound, much because of Ozzy's voice I think, and that has a great deal to do why they got so popular in the first place. Today, I think Sabbath was best with Ozzy. It's all a matter of taste.
  13. You got that right. I think he's got a uniqe and personal voice, and together with the rest of the members in Sabbath, he created some great music during those early years.
  14. That is one of my favorites too. The intro with the harmonica is so cool. The early Ozzy line-up is by far the best, even though the later incarnations have had their great moments as well.
  15. My favorite is probably your least favorite, their first album.
  16. A couple of other great bands: The Only Ones The Heartbreakers Sham 69 Stiff Little Fingers Radio Birdman
  17. The Damned, people.. let's not forget about The Damned.. "New Rose," "Neat Neat Neat," and "Love Song," what great punk classics..
  18. I'm listening to Drive-By Truckers A Blessing And A Curse.
