  1. I see you still have not put down the crackpipe, agree to disagree I guess
  2. Put down the Crackpipe, DP a bar band ? Thats amazing. ask someone in Europe or Japan who is more popular ? RB is a much better on stage, sorry to burst your wet dream. I know this is a LZ site but boy are we the fanboy. Odd you don't or won't talk about Lord and Jones on keys.
  3. Some have said Plant sounds like Nails on a chalkboard, saying Ian has no talent and Richie is a good guitarist ? Wrong on both. both bands are in the same league. and to say to even mention them in the same breath ? why not. so many seem to think that LZ are the Gods of everything, sorry to spoil your dream but they are not. I Love LZ and DP, both are fantastic, a huge fan here, saw both bands live and they were both stellar. if you want to compare, Blackmore is a better player then Page, but Page was so good in the studio, Bass players were all good but will give the nodd to Jones for his arrangements, keyboards, that's easy. Lord was so good, singers were great for both bands, comes down to your own tastes, drummers, we all know Bonzo was great, Paice is so under rated, listen to Burn for details, the guy was amazing. Live well DP were always tight, never sloppy, cannot say that about LZ, Made in Japan compared to maybe How the West was Won which is great but MIJ is the beast for most. So they really were in the same league. both great in their own ways for many reasons, your not hated for what you think, not by me anyway, we were lucky to have them both.
  4. Hes my favorite singer I think, then Plant and Gillan
  5. he was great at this time but I beg to differ, Ian Gillian from the 60's to mid 70's was something else.
  6. Biden is the worst pres the county has had, Obama #2
  7. How do you like the solo ? I wonder what was missed at the end ? I am guessing the rest was not taped or lost.
  8. Quality is poor to fair IMO, some may think its better then that. a few cuts between songs, tape ends at the start of HMMT, pity, maybe they ran out of tape, would rather have that then the drum solo, oh well, still great that these can still be found and shared. thanks Dogs of Doom
  9. Do you enjoy insulting people you know NOTHING about ? just leave it.
  10. I assume you are speaking of yourself, what a Tool
  11. Jimmy can of course think what he wants just like you and me. LZ stopped in Sept 80 IMO, you needed those 4 to be LZ and that matters to me with my perspective.
  12. OK, that is uncalled for, I could act like a child like yourself, any respect I may have had for you is gone, I will take the high road, Later...................
  13. Yes he does, he says Richard was there for the first and last concert's. concert's as in more then one show. 1980, its pretty black and white IMO, you may think otherwise of course. it does not matter if Richard has passed or not, he was not involved in the last shows. PS Steve thank you for all you give on this site.
  14. He was there for the first and last concerts of the band. Jimmy Page. 02 was just one show 1980 tour was 14 shows and Richard was not involved, Last LZ show Berlin 80, Not a big deal I guess but we are here for the facts I thought ....
  15. Richard was not involved in the last tour, Jimmy's memory not so good
  16. I had heard once John Bonham bought a Duesenberg around 1970 in LA. There is a black and white photo at the Rainbow bar and Grille in Hollywood of John Bonham in a garage standing in front of a Duesenberg and Peter Grant is off to the side (1st time I ever saw this photo) any details on the car and if John bought it and where it may be now ? Also I thought it odd there were no photos of the band hanging out at the Rainbow at the Rainbow, the one of Robert and John with some female friends at a table come to mind.
  17. Why would they move it to the members only section ?
  18. I am suprised more people are not talking about this. So Bloomington 75 exist, really hope this comes out, over at Royal Orleans where this came up the topic has been removed, interesting. I wonder why ?
  19. If Helsinki 1970 was filmed that would be really something. I dont think any of us have heard this before, and if it still exists that would be amazing. I am surprised more people here did not comment on this. It was a great show and would rank near the top of Zeppelin finds on film, a holy grail maybe IMO. I wonder if there is any way to find out if this show was filmed and then if it was the even bigger challenge would be to find out what happened to the tapes and if they exist where are they. Maybe a someone from Finland would be up to take this on. one would think a Finnish person would have the best chance to find out.
  20. Of course, is it against some law to not love everything about Zep ?, I was not thinking of his comments about Zep ripping off others when I posted and I don't know about IMTOD being a rip off, but face it Zep took song ideas from allot of sources as many others did, for a good example tell me Whole Lotta Love did not take anything from the Small Faces ?
  21. Dr Death is right, if Plant had said he liked Whitesnake and was a friend of Davids a LOT more people here would have liked that record, That is a given, I Love Plants Voice along with Coverdales, they are both great. What I have not loved about Plant is how he bashes people over the years, and I think BledZabbath needs to chill out. Dr Death was not bashing Zep and if he was so what.
