1969, the photo session for the cover of The Beatles 'Abbey Road' album took place on the crossing outside Abbey Road studios. Photographer Iain McMillan, balanced on a step-ladder in the middle of the road took six shots of John, Ringo, Paul, and George walking across the zebra crossing while a policeman held up the traffic. The band then returned to the studio and recorded overdubs on ‘The End’, ‘I Want You (She's So Heavy)’ and ‘Oh! Darling’.
Well the photo was at 10am, they didn't go back to the studio until the afternoon. In the interim John and Paul went back to Paul's house, Ringo went shopping and George went to the London Zoo

The funny thing about that video is that Bonzo features more time than Linda McCartney...but not as many times as Paul...

OK, well I'll see your Billy Joel and raise you a Celine Dion. Stitch that, mofos!
Actually, I confess there was one Celine Dion song I did like, and that was 'Only One Road' back in 1995, because when I was 16, I could sing that song as high as her, since then my voice has come down a few notes, age and smoking the culprits. When I was 13, I used to be able to sing exactly like Karen Carpenter

I've never heard any outstanding keyboards from the "Piano Man" - but haven't seen him live, to fairly say how much talent he has. I just think most of his songs are a drag, or too yuppy-ish. The airplay and hype that he gets in this area is unjustified, to me...
Actually I remember reading a music critic who was writing about Billy Joel saying that Billy has a tendency to copy other people's piano-playing style, and the two examples he gave were 'Just The Way You Are' sounds like Elton, and 'My Life' sounds like Paul McCartney

So the wanker does get exposure outside of New York? Sorry to hear that. Have you ever been to Mister Catchatory's down on Sullivan Street? It's right across from the medical center...
No,
And I hope I never will...

He's a wanker, but some of his chord sequences are good.

I tell you what, if you live in Australia, Jupiter is quite spectacular at the moment, close orbital path to earth, with a decent telescope you can see several of its Moons lined up in a row, and also some colour bands on Jupiter from the gas clouds. Look for it rising in the east in the night sky, at about midnight, Jupiter should be directly above your head, you can't miss it...

do you mean this-'dance tonight'
i quite like it...
this one 'ever present past' i thought was lyrically personal, musically 'pop' paul, and the video entertaining if not slightly derivative.
No 'Dance Tonight' was a good video clip
But I thought 'Ever Present Past' was just awful

Chariots Of The Gods By Eric Von Dankien, A little dated but still a very interesting read.
it's a good piece of fiction, that book Daniken actually confessed to faking a couple of pieces of evidence used in the book.
I believe he wrote it while in prison in Switzerland for tax evasion.

I went and saw 'Mongol' at my local cinema the other day. It was a really good movie but i had to laugh when the girl selling me the ticket said "and do you know this film has subtitles?"
