  1. Oh yes, I was planning to watch that too, thanks for reminding me!
  2. Hi, Strider. The first time I saw 'Jaws' was its UK TV premiere in 1981 when I was 10. They let us home early from cubs to watch it. The next day at school my teacher asked, "Everybody who watched 'Jaws' last night, put your hand up." Out of a class of about 25 - 30 kids, just one person didn't raise their hand. The TV audience was 23.3 million out of a population at the time of 56.3 million. Amazing times before most people owned a VCR and we only had three channels back then!
  3. I've never watched 'The West Wing'. I might give it a go when I've finished 'House of Cards'. I put off watching 'The Shield' for a long time and couldn't believe how good it was when I got round to it. It's full of shocks and surprises.

I love their 'Play it Loud' album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nc7Sd2qksHs
  5. One that doesn't seem to get talked about much is 'The Shield'. This show about corrupt cops is right up there with the likes of 'The Wire', 'The Sopranos' and 'Breaking Bad' for me. I'm currently watching it again for the 3rd time. Give it a go, it gets better and better with every season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YiqPv3Ha68

  7. So are the next four. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is my favourite.
  8. He was in 5 and 6 as well. My favourite role of his is in "Wake in Fright", an Australian film where he plays a very convincing Australian drunk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26w4Zu7_NTE
  9. Yes, I've ordered the DVD box set. I'm looking forward to it as I've never seen the sequels.
  10. Pusher (1996) A Danish classic. I first saw it back in the 90s and watched it again last night. Even better than I remembered it being. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLEaPB9UBWM
  11. "Wake in Fright" (1971) One of the best films I've seen for years and years. I watched it on youtube first. It impressed me so much, I bought the blu-ray to see it in all of its glory - it was definitely worth it. Please check out the original Version of The Bridge. A Denmark / Sweden co-production, easily as good as The Killing. It was remade in the UK and France as The Tunnel, but wasn't as good. The female lead, Sofia Helin is amazing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83FcxzlXbKs

You're welcome. It would've been cruel on viewers had it ended there!

No, there's eight more episodes after that. The next episode is an absolute corker.
  16. Indeed. If anyone hasn't seen The Long Good Friday, don't watch this great final scene if you plan on watching it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVVrZJaN1IU
  17. Buffalo. Great band that should've been as big as AC/DC. Vocalist Dave Tice should be known as one of the best voices in rock. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihRZaw8W3ks

I've seen the Danish version of "The Killing". Superb. The Danish make great crime dramas. "The Bridge" is another one which also has an American remake. Over here It's been remade as "The Tunnel". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83FcxzlXbKs
