  1. .... you are correct SAJ, no photos at the Market, but there appears to be a review of this shopping trip, including photos at the Airport, arrival of LZ in Echoes Vedettes Magazine...restricted copyright...

    The Original discussion...

SAJ, quickly I will add that I have response from Libary, Echos Vedettes magainze only holds a French concert review with Press/Promotion Shot of LZ..with copyright restriction thus far...further, I am awaiting for Photos Vedettes Magazine, photos of Jimmy/Charlotte appeared in this publication...I shall see what holds in Photos Vedettes...I have sumbitted inquiry, awaiting follow up...

    not edited...

  2. On second look, you're right. I dug deeper and found the Orly photos were taken by Christian Rose, but the one we were discussing was not. So it seems were back to it having been taken in Montreal and the unidentified gentleman with Jimmy being Peter Reeves.

...SAJ, all photos taken by same photographer as indicated herein.... further, if I receive any verbal confirmation from archives Library, over the limit of photo copyright restriction of Monteral Photos, I will post the response... perhaps there will be match of these photos wondering about aimlessly for decades...

  3. The Paris airport photos are all signed by Christian Rose, I think. Photo credits are attributed to him page 54.

Plus there's another explicit mention of it p.62 when they say one of Christian Rose's photos shot at the airport was selected to illustrate the cover of the 45 rpm French pressing of "Whole Lotta Love".

...Thank you for this identification, and that most engaging video of Ten Years After, I would say that that the journalist in the photos is not Philippe Paringaux, as he appears in about 56 seconds mark...I think the photo from the link I posted about his autobio matches him to be in the video....

It is interesting magazine, I will see if it is readily available....

...here is background of Christian Rose, Photographer since 1965... He is based in Paris, so those photos of Jimmy are indeed from Paris...

  4. For a long time I've thought this guy was John Bonham himself. I'm not so sure about that, noawadays. I tend to think it's not John because I've never seen any other picture of him with similar clothes + if you zoom on the picture and his face, that's not him for me.

Here are some pics of Philippe Paringaux :

    That's Philippe on the left

    Another photo

It's a pity I can't find pictures of Paringaux from the time he was working as chief editor with Rock & Folk in Paris in the beginning of the 70's.

  5. Spot on with the LZ I box set release next June I believe. Weird thing is the article came way before the official statement about 2014 releases ...

...Thank you for your generous contribution, could you please confirm the photographer/source credit of Photos, perhaps in the index/cover page... these photos reside in the mystery photos for the longest time, this shall be helpful... thank you...

    ...The airport photos...

  6. My understanding is only Jimmy and Peter went antique shopping in Montreal, as they were both collectors back then. I'm unaware of photographs being taken.

  7. I haven't come across a positive identification of the guy on the left. I can't seem to find the answer posted elsewhere using "Montreal" and "airport" in the forums so hope no one minds my asking now. In other forum threads it's been determined that it isn't John Bonham or Sam Cutler (per Cutler himself), but then who is it? Thanks.

  8. I love it when a mystery can be solved! With so many good (and LZ obsessed) minds on a task much can be achieved!

..likewise, and The Very Gracious "Richard Cole", our beloved Road Manager........ :notworthy: :notworthy: ........

here the photo of JImmy with Ideal Home Magazine from this thread....

    http://forums.ledzeppelin.com/index.php?/topic/3417-whos-that-bloke-with-percy/page-29

    ...it could be confirm further, if the copyright to the photos of Zep acutally shopping in Montreal antiques, could be granted (not possible at all, as I was informed by archives Libary, Quebec);

    ...I'll keep this nearby...

  9. Hi Steve - a friend asked on a "Richard Cole" Facebook page and "Richard Cole" identified the person in the photo with JP as fashion designer Paul Reeves, who was a friend of JPs at the time and who was then involved with providing clothing design for Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones among others. I have done some quick searching for images of Paul Reeves from the 1970s but struck out. Another person provided this image but no context was provided for it and so there's no way to really know if that Paul Reeves is the same person as in the photo with Jimmy Page at the airport.

At any rate, do you think the guy could be Paul Reeves?

(Note that "Richard Cole" is in quotes because who can know on Facebook if a person is real or just has stolen the name)

Tks. lif for this answer via Legenary Richard Cole.... Jon Wealleans and Peter Grant discussed in this link via Steve A. Jones...so this photo from Evening Observer 1976? or likely Home Ideal Magazine

    quote from this disucssion:

"Prominent among Reeves' collaborators was architect and artist Jon Wealleans; when the job was finished the pair were featured in The Observer and Ideal Home magazines. The 1976 Ideal Home feature is provided below.

Earlier, Jon Wealleans has longer hair in 1970....Photo in this link:

..I will add this, I looked into the photo of JImmy carrying the magazine, (the airport Picture), ( as same mentioned by SAJ in his discussion), the magazine is indeed Home Ideal, English Publication...

....Led Zeppelin did visit antique market in Monteral, called Antiques Quarter, Montreall April 18, 1970 (I believe they returned to the Market after day or two)....

  10. ...Truth and Beauty , Indeed Scarlett is sensitive photographer, this artistic sensitivity, I also notice in Jimmy; she has captured all of the colors of her father, in every aspect....

Drop Down, I also like her words, she striked the balanced perfectly, colorful theme all around...

...and the beautiful bird, peacock, representing grace, beauty, charm, love..most celebrated bird in centuries, perfect backdrop for Jimmy, representing his iconic legacy...

  11. Thanks, Slave to Zep, for posting that beautiful photo. In a world where I could justify the cost, I would so buy the charity £600 version of that in a flash, and actually well ahead of the five photos on the JP website.

I love its authenticity, and I love Scarlet's beautiful lighting and her choice of a richly coloured backdrop to a (relatively) monochrome JP.

Truth and beauty, your description of this gorgeous photo of Jimmy is equally beautiful, the rich colors of his legacy shine through this entire photograph...perhaps Jimmy is photographed in rich interior of Tower House, or I wonder even if the Cardiff Castle? Not entirely sure geographically speaking, ...background of Jimmy's photo appears to be peacock shape.....couldn't ask for any other colors but these, Rock Royalty Indeed!!

  12. I asked the publisher - They said there is one of Robert Plant in "Seize the Time", from Vancouver '69 at the Agrodome.

....thank you for this, and interview with Vlad..only selected images published...Vlad would have final confirmation what is not published...

When he and his wife left Vancouver in 1974 to sail to the South Pacific, he put his negatives in storage where they remained for almost forty years. In 2011 he began selecting and scanning the best of his images for Seize the Time.
