Usually I am out there with him (I have the window open in case there is a mishap) but I told him that I want to be online for any Zep-related news.
Very nice camera, btw!

My sweet husband who is out clearing brush on our land with a chainsaw while I am inside answering emails and reading posts on the LZ forum.

Yes "Slaves to Jimmy's scarves, shirts, pants, dog collars" (do I need to go on?)
Will look forward to that
No problem at all AMAZONIC - and certainly no need to apologize - I am always mixing up my dates.

This picture of him is just beautiful!! It really captures the true essence of Pagey back in the day!!
It is beautiful and you are so right - it does capture Pagey's true essence as it was back in the day! Apparently I was so flustered and distracted by this pic that, when I responded to Medhb, I made a typo in a simple 3-letter word.

Here is the pic that MSG has in her siggy (although it's a scan and not the best quality)
Oh come here my baby and let me take care of you..... Ok I am completely going off the deep end now
I LOVE that pic of Jimmy! That's one of the reasons that I chose it for my siggy - although I must say that the little b&w clip of it doesn't do it justice. There are many reasons for that, not the least of which is the fact that his scarf is not visible in the little pic. "Slave to Zep"? Hell, we were all "Slaves to Jimmy's scarves"
As for the rest of it, I'll send you a PM.

Hi Jimmy's a Legend. Yeah, I was a major poster on the old HPOJ thread on the old forum. Both of them actually. The first one got so huge, the mods closed it down and asked us to start another!
In fact, it was in the old HPOJ thread that I met the woman who's been my lady for the last 3 years!
A you're welcome to all the other ladies who enjoyed the show. Don't worry. There's plenty more where that came from!
And MSG, the BadCo pics are from the Texas Jam, September 1, 1974. He jumped onstage with a borrowed Stratocaster for Rock Me Baby.
And whever took them had a helluva seat in that "ocean of tidal humanity"! Glad the firehoses didn't get the camera wet!
Thanks, Ev.

Thanks for posting that. My husband, who was a huge Yes fan during his youth, loved that article. Of course I am going to buy him the book now.

Oh Heart...be still!
Honey is a futile effort.
-
This picture is so sweet, MSG! Thanks
Here are a couple of shots from the same gig (with Bad Company 1976).
You're welcome, AMAZONIC! Thank you for the other photos of Jimmy with Bad.
Did Jimmy play with them in '76? I saw him play with Bad in '74.

I totally agree - they will forever be "the Zep guys"
Awwwwww!
They sure will forever be "the Zep guys". I love that photo - it reminds me of how madly in lust love I was with them when I was a young teen.

HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY ROBERT!!!
I too (like MSG) have always enjoyed your stares...
This will forever be my fondest memory of you...(my dynamic duo)
You will always be Percy in my heart
I don't want to derail Robert's birthday thread so I moved your post to his photo thread. His stares - I think he knew full well the effect that he was having on us:
I love the "dynamic duo" photo! Probably my favorite of Robert and Jimmy together. In honor of Robert's milestone birthday, I have been remembering so many great things from my Zep years today and I alternately laugh and sigh. Those were wonderful times with, as my friends and I still affectionately refer to them, "the Zep guys".
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBERT!!!!LOVE YOU FOREVER & FOREVER . .
"Simply the best....Better than allll the rest, better than anyone...
Thank You for all the wonderful moments.
Amen to that!

I got this card yesterday.
just in for a quickie...see ya!
I got this card yesterday.
just in for a quickie...see ya!
That's great!
I was going to post this in the Stones thread but I might as well put it here - it was in an article titled "50 reasons not to fear 50"
"Zepcliquette"
My friend and I refer to ourselves as former members of the "Zep sorority"

What can I say? Blame it on Jimmy. He got to us at an early age and we've never been the same.
ah........sorry about that, but it was a rhetorical question, yknow!I understand.
You're right MSG, and to top it off, I just realized that Spacewoman posted a couple more pictures of him above with that same dog collar!!Slave, I think after all this talk you have the visual down now....
I'm sure she does.
-
MSG, the visual that I'm getting just thinking about that dog collar around his neck - well let's just leave it at that
I knew that one wouldn't slide past you ILJP.
And to top it off, today someone had to ask, "What is it with you and Jimmy and penance and the dog collar?" :bagoverhead:

I saw him last year at the House of Blues in Cleveland for the first time, and I must say that he is one of the most humble and friendly musicians that I've seen. It was so worth going to see him. He is one of my favorites now.
That's very cool to hear. I always thought that he was a very nice person - it's good to hear that it still holds true.
-
-
I put this ifirst one in the hair thread, but it should go here, as well.My goodness - he is so totally HOT in this picture!! Just love his hair and his chest and his hands (I could just go on forever!!!)
It's the dog collar that takes it over the top for me.
-
-
But he was not alone. There were others.
I know he wasn't alone! I actually remember when other people wore that style of pants too!
-
HOTH is one of my very favorite Zep albums - it was one of my favorites back when it was released and it remains a favorite to this day because it brings me right back to the '73 U.S. concert days. To me, the best song on the album is TSRTS. More than any other song on HOTH, TSRTS evokes such strong memories of that time, including the awe and the love I felt when I stood there and watched it being performed live. Second best: The Ocean - it comes very close to having the same effect on me.

Oh me too, something about him in that shirt just did something to me (and still does )
You've got that right
The crazy thing (in a young fan way, not a stalkerish way) is that Jimmy has probably long ago forgotten the clothes he wore when he was here in the U.S. with Zep but because we were very attentive young teens at the time, all these years later, we can still remember so many of the details of some of his shirts, pants, jackets, shoes and socks.
-
That's a great early photo!
I always loved Jimmy in that shirt. It became oddly familiar to me.
I mean, look how happy he is even just in rehearsals I do hope we all get a chance to see him one more time.
MSG, that bolded statement just says it all...
Amen to that.
When looking at these photos and remembering the heyday of Zep, sometimes the only appropriate response is:
What Made You Happy today?

I do a huge amount of work on the land with him but my husband won't let me near the chainsaw. I really want to try it but he is afraid of me losing control of it and also of "kickback" happening. Believe me, I would much rather garden than clear sagebrush and cedar.
