Advice on Knebworth 1979 rare t -shirt

Funny enough - I FOUND a pretty cool tie-die shirt at the Jane's Addiction gig at Brixton in 1991. Primus was the opening act and one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

    Pontiac Silverdome

I'm curious what type of money are we talking about? If someone had a soundboard of an unreleased show or source, how much would the taper expect to get from EV and other labels?

The Crunge - Best Live Version

LOL - A bit out of my head the other night. You are correct Sir!

The Crunge - Best Live Version

I've always liked the TSRTS 1976 version during WLL. Not complete, but find this version a lot of fun + the groove is killer!
  5. The Only Way To Fly

    Definitive Blueberry Hill

This was my first zep boot bought back in 1984 or 1985. SO glad to hear this show keeps getting upgraded. I'd love to hear an official release but fear Page's butcher knife edits should one ever be released. With these upgraded releases, it looks like we'll never need an official release : )

Physical Graffitti vs. Exile on Main St.

Me too - I was in 8th grade when it came out. I think the live LP Still Life followed shortly after. I remember these being monsters on Chicago radio stations like the WLUP and WMET at the time. Tattoo You is one of my fav Stones records. However, the album art work is absolutely horrible.

Why did they not play at woodstock

Didn't Peter Grant introduce himself to Bob Dylan; saying something like I'm Peter Grant, manager for Led Zeppelin and Dylan responded by saying don't come to me with your problems or something similar....

LED ZEPPELIN OFFICIAL ILLUSTRATED BOOK - COMING 2018

Not a Kiss fan, but that's pretty cool. I wonder who else received the book from Jimmy?

Original Celebration Day on TSRTS Cassette

I'm going to tape the 2007 NQ CD version to a 1976 vintage cassette and see what happens.

Stupid Rolling Stone 50th Anniversary Issue

    Same here!

Physical Graffitti vs. Exile on Main St.

Excellent points - and agree with the Exile track listing. One exception - Just Want To See His Face (LOVE this track) - maybe put that on as a B-Side to Tumbling Dice; just like Hey Hey What Can I Do.
  12. Bummer - I was really hoping you were right. Pretty cool that the LZ I USA release date and their induction into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame occurred on the same date - 12 Jan. I reckon the next announcement will be about the streaming.

    Long Live Led Zeppelin

SWEET! Can't wait to check this out!

Led Zeppelin being booed by the audience?

We do have Plant on record from the Blueberry Hill show saying something like "We've had a bit of abuse in the mid-west. Every time we sit on a chair and pick up a mandolin it's ewwwwww". So they must have encountered some booing during the early tours.
  15. Can't wait to see this!

    Nitpicking Page 1977

Looking forward to your reviews of the 79 shows. Esp the Copenhagen ones. I owned a triple vinyl copy of The Copenhagen Warm Ups in the 1980's and could never get past how "thin" the audience recording sounded. I've gone back to both Copenhagen shows numerous times over the years and always seem to come away with the same opinion. I enjoy the performance, but.... Using the audience recordings from the Blueberry Hill show as a standard, the warm ups for Knebworth still sound too light and thin for my ears. I'd love for a new source or soundboard to come out so I could really crank these up.

    The Lemon Song (studio)

I've always liked the song. I remember being a kid and moving the balance on my boom box from left to right just to hear Bonzo's gong during the intro.

LED ZEPPELIN OFFICIAL ILLUSTRATED BOOK - COMING 2018

IDK - maybe I was reading too much into it. Just seemed like there are better backgrounds than the kebab shop.

LED ZEPPELIN OFFICIAL ILLUSTRATED BOOK - COMING 2018

He just doesn't give a shit about any of it, wow.
  20. The Only Way To Fly

Anyone know other locations that the photo I uploaded lives at?

I wonder who made the quip/joke that has Plant trying to hold back the laugh and has Bonzo laugh out loud. What I love about this period is that they all seem SO happy - not only off stage, but on stage as well. You can tell they were really killing it each and every night during this period.

LED ZEPPELIN OFFICIAL ILLUSTRATED BOOK - COMING 2018

IDK - I seem to remember the City of Chicago going pretty crazy during some Grateful Dead runs i.e. the riots at Deer Creek, the first Lolapalooza, GG Allin (when he threatened to kill newsman/bluesman Buzz Killman if he came to the gig) and Body Count who's song Cop Killer was getting a lot of negative attention in the early 90's. One thing you don't do is mess with cops. RIP CPD Officer Samuel Jimenez.

    Copenhagen 24.07.79 Oh yes!!

Please come to Illinois Mr. Emery!

    Grande Ballroom Detroit '69

Must have been really hot inside that venue. Lots of people with their shirts off, including Bonzo! Amazing stuff.

    Grande Ballroom Detroit '69

Very good stuff indeed! I'm amazed by the fact that every few days new photo's are added to the site. I saw The Firm in 1985 at the Rosemont Horizon and brought in my Kodak Disc camera. I had a bunch of photo's from the gig, but lost them years ago. Every time I go back to the house I search the basement for those negatives - If/when I find I'll be sure to share.

    Definitive Blueberry Hill

Totally agree! On Through the Night is a great debut and I liked High N Dry and Pyromania too. After Rick's accident, tragic as it was, I moved on and got into bands like R.E.M, The Cure and Joy Division.
