  4. For me its anything thats tribal or has long sustained jams. Three Days by Janes Addiction is a good example, or Echos from Floyd, that slow bridge in Zep's Carouselabra, I can listen to that for hours! When Page&Plant did that in the solo section during In The Evening I just about freaked out.

  12. "Got to Get You into My Life" The Beatles
  13. 1970 - 1973 are my favorites, however the No Quater jams of 77' are just as mind blowing as the Dazed & Confused jams of 73' and the Trampled Under Foot jams of 80' were a sign of things to come. 1975 was cool too. Its as if they went forward in time to see what they would do in 77' and mash that into what they were doing in 73'.
  14. The songs sound better live. Steve Albini was the WRONG choice in my opinion. Their prior 2 albums Coverdale/Page & Fate of Nations were flat out sonic masterpieces. Albini's dry style and lack of production does not work with Page and Plant. I wonder if he produced The Window and Rude World or if Jimmy and Robert did that on their own?
  15. Sounds GREAT, very good production. I cant wait for the rest of the album.
  16. Back on the Zooma tour, i have never seen this interview before:
  17. I would get ZOSO in the mail back in the late 80's. It was way before the internet. I could not wait for the monthly issue to arrive. It was a great fanzine. I still have about 50 of them up in my attic.
  18. The Firm was great. That fretless bass sound was key to that band.
  19. Carouselambra is another deep and touching masterpiece. When that first bridge hits with the slower tempo, it really takes you away to another dimension.
