  1. D'uhhh, I need to post this, though it wasn't drawn by me but by my best friend. I asked her permission to do this, because every time she wants to post here on the forum, her computer won't let her, so...I'll do it for her.

Well, she scetched the idea in summer already but did the drawing yesterday. Well, when she first showed me, my cigarette fell out of my mouth (seriously, like a bad joke in film...). Ah, I love it! I love how she drew them... Especially the '77-Jimmy with the shades... Hmmmm...

Ok, no more talking, here it is:

    Enjoy! Hope you like it!

    Cool idea.

Is your friend also a fan of Manga?

  2. sorry for neglecting the thread .........

do we want to discuss hair care?

i have been using good old pantene shampoos and conditioners for about 10 years now. i try new ones now and again when they come on the market, but i haven't found one better than pantene, and it's not expensive, which is a great bonus. i just cut quite a bit off the length of my hair the other day, as i hadn't done that in ages, and it really needed it! my hair grows so fast, which is annoying, cos i have to touch up the roots every few weeks!

    what are your favourite products?

I've been using henna for years, and I'm not going to stop anytime soon. Not only the colour is precious, but it's much much better than any synthetic cure or balsam.

As for shampoo, I try to change the brand with every new bottle, though I usually choose from three of four favourite brands.

  3. I don't even remember that, but it sounds like something I would think. But I was not THE dirty one here! I didn't even participate in the Headmaster Jimmy thread!

Yeah those were the days... *sigh* I hardly recognize any of the newer girls here now.

True. Maybe some of us were a bit more naughtly. -_- I even saved some of those stories. Though I haven't read them for years.

  4. Wait, not ME "ocean" right? Because I keep most of my dirty Jimmy thoughts to myself. Even way back in the day, I don't remember saying I wanted to lick his nipple. Or maybe I did, I can't remember anymore. Too much wine I'm sure.

(I've been gone forever from this site though, so maybe you mean another member)

Yes, you. And yes, you did. Nor sure why I remember it (I generally tend to remember more individual detail rather than the big picture, and this obviously got stuck in my mind).

I think most of us usually kept the dirtiest thoughts to ourselves because otherwise we would have been banned pretty soon, I'm sure. Though the "shifty" smiley usually said it all, without words. Those were the days...

  5. and hello BB! (the site is not letting me reply/quote your post for some reason). I'm doing well. I miss this place though! Good to see you're still here. ^_^

Yeah, I'm still here. Though I'm afraid I turned to a completely worthless poster. :)

My "pagette" days are over as well, I'm afraid.:)

  6. ...I was about to add how my post made no point, but clearly everyone can tell..so there was no need to say anything...I dont even remember saying anything there, and so what if i did? Whats wrong with that?

You were about to add how your post made no point so that you would contribute with another completely pointless post? Well, go ahead.

Telling people to stop arguing because it's pointless and then adding that it was in fact quite pointless to say it it's pretty stupid at best, if you ask me.

And its creepy that you know it was 9 days from then. :/

It's not, there's a date on top of every post we make.

  7. haha i just went back a page, and that arguement was so pointless..sorry, but its true.

People you dont have to read what people say just look at the pictures, is it wrong for people to drool? And even if they are you dont need to read it..Pictures of Jimmy should make people happy, theres no sense in getting upset, especially when theres nothing to get upset over.

Well, there's no need for igniting the fight again, two weeks after it was settled, is there. Even if the previous arguing were pointless, I can't see how THIS post - 9 days after you made a comment in the Cool Pictures of Jimmy thread - could possibly carry any point...

  8. I can't judge the sexiness, but to me he simply doesn't look at all healthy. Some of his expressions look strangely out of character in this period, too (like in many of the Oakland pics), partly no doubt because his frame was practically reduced to a skeleton. I guess the stormtrooper outfit he famously wore at the April 10, 1977 gig in Chicago sums it up for me, because there always was a certain level of control of meaning about Jimmy and the band more generally, which made the whole thing quite intriguing and fascinating, down to smaller details even. The stormtrooper may have been rock and roll to some people, but to me it smacks of empty sensationalism - and hence, of things spiralling out of control. It didn't signify anything at all - it was just "Hey, is this outrageous or what?"

Well, try to imagine for example Scarlett Johansson looking THIS unhealthy and that's answer the sexiness.

I agree about the stormtrooper outfit. There's nothing "funny" or classy about it, it's just awkwardly provocative.

I'm right with you on that, Kat. I actually find it difficult and uncomfortable to look at some of those pictures of Jimmy where he's so painfully thin. If we are talking about sex appeal - for me, he has bags more of it today, as a healthy 65 year old, than he did then as an emaciated, drug/alcohol addicted 33 year old.

    Agreed.

  9. Yes, but he still looks so gorgeous with his scarf (and cigarette).

I have to disagree. As much as I like Jimmy Page, I think he looks absolutely UNsexy, even pitifully, on most pics from his heroin era, including the stormtrooper series (sorry songbird). But each to their own.

  10. Me and my fiance bought a beautiful chandelier today. We chose it together. It's wonderful how we agree on so many things. His enthusiasm is also wonderful. We behave as a serious couple and we're treated that way. It's a wonderful, almost refreshing feeling.

And we're going to see B.B. King tomorrow.

  11. Nobody's forbidden anyone to drool. It's just that some of us feel like we've been assed out of this thread by the droolers who've taken it too far. HPOJ is a 10 year-old thread resurrected on this forum. We were all a part of it. We put a lot of love and effort into it, and now it's been basically turned into a fantasy thread. On the old board, we had fantasy threads just for that purpose. But now the pics thread has become the girls' bathroom. And THAT'S FINE! That's what "Cool Pics of Jimmy" was started for. There's room for everyone. But I can't believe people are posting like they're being oppressed. Have your uprising, but I'll tell you this, there's dozens of women who've been Pagettes for decades who don't even want to see this thread anymore. Who bleeds for the original Pagettes ladies? The ones who made up the term. So we've left the thread to you. Be happy! Have your fun! No one's complaining anymore.

    Good points Ev.

You know, I think we were also "taking it too far" sometimes. Saying that there were independent factasy threads for the purpose is a weeny bit unfair and dishonest, because we were frequently drooling even in the HPOJ. I remember very vividly my or ocean's (for example... she was THE dirty one B) ) comments about "wanting to lick that nipple" and that sort of things. Although it's true that when we wanted to spend our time admiring his hairdo (for example), we just started a new thread.

    HOWEVER:

If someone had ever told me to stop it because it was tasteless, I would have felt ashamed, not oppressed.

AND, either I'm really getting old, or the overall idiocy of the comments has upgraded to a completely new level.

  12. I guess it's probably getting well into evening by now. Sorry. I guess now's not the time to tell you about the fireworks we're going to watch tonight. No? I suck. :(

It's 10 pm here. I'll be alone all night. :depressed:

I don't like fireworks. Though I wouldn't mind some good BBQ.

  13. Try putting on a wedding gown and dancing with a tub of ice cream! :D

I don't have a wedding gown...yet. :D And I've already ate a large packet of chips. That's enough for today.

I'd like to go out. It's a fairly nice evening (that's been rare these days). But I don't want to go alone. Everyone's abroad, or at least out of the town.

  14. Wrong. Maybe not in your small corner of the planet.

I think the global reaction speaks for itself. Perhaps the media pushed him off the entertainment radar in America in recent years, but on a global scale? Not. I hate to say it, but sometimes America's illusion that whatever we believe is how it is everywhere is embarrassing. Guess what, a million fans in Indonesia, India, the UK, Russia, China, um...everywhere else essentially, didn't get the memo. The lesson here is, think global or get left behind. Take off the blinders "dude".

Well, I would say that it was pretty similar on a global scale.

Saying that, however, I should also add that it hasn't prevented our neighbour (who normally listens to hip hop) from playing his records since Friday...

I agree with everyone who says that calling him a loser these days is very disrespectful. It's also downright ignorant. The man has been a huge influence for musicians all over the world, and neither his personal faults nor his numerous plastic surgeries would EVER change it.
