  1. ^ I think seeing A Clockwork Orange at such a young age is what left the impression on me. When i watched it many years later it didn't have quite the same effect.
  2. I haven't googled your movie....doesn't sound like something i want to know about. The first time i watched "A Clockwork Orange" at age 14 i found it to be a bit shocking. When i was 15 or 16 my best friend and i went to see a midnight showing of David Lynch's "Eraserhead". It was quite weird and a bit disturbing (so dark and eerie and just plain weird)!
  3. I bought the DVD of Live at Pompeii about 4 years ago and i have never been able to watch it without falling asleep! Granted, i have only put it on late at night
  4. I liked Constant Gardener. One of the last movies i saw in a theater. Time to see a movie! I went through a bit of a Ralph crush after seeing The English Patient. He is a fantastic actor and nice looking. Also great in Strange Days and Quiz Show.
  5. The pics of Rufus in your sig are adorable...I'm sorry for your sad news. I lost my first pet almost three years ago. A hand fed free to fly the house grey cheeked parakeet. Jasmine had a beautiful life with much love. He/she died in my dad's hand at 17 years of age (had caught a respiratory infection that the vet told us she probably wouldn't survive). For her species, 17 was a long life. My father buried her in the garden... I have two cats who i love...i have been an animal lover all my life and strongly feel that when you own a pet, you are their family. I hope you feel better soon and when you are up to it, find another wonderful dog to love!
  6. I have two all time favorites and love almost all The Beatles songs...The Long and Winding Road and Across The Universe are my two favs, and the next very favorites are: I Want You (She's So Heavy), Dear Prudence, The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill, Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except for Me and My Monkey, Eight Days A Week, I'll Be Back, Cry Baby Cry, Yesterday... others i love, love, love are: All My Loving, Tell Me Why, I'll Cry Instead, I'm Down, I'm A Loser, I Want To Hold Your Hand, No Reply, You've Got To Hide Your Love Away, You're Going To Lose That Girl, I'm Looking Through You, Run For Your Life, For No One, Got To Get You Into My Life, A Day In The Life, Hey Jude, I Am The Walrus, Baby You're A Rich Man, All You Need Is Love, Rocky Raccoon, Don't Pass Me By, Julia, Helter Skelter, All Together Now, Happiness Is A Warm Gun, It's All Too Much, Something, Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, Two Of Us, I've Got A Feeling, I Me Mine, Dig It... Beatles fan for 29 years and counting!
  7. Fresh broiled Maine lobstertails with butter and fresh lump crabmeat and a side of fresh snowcrab legs...heaven. A mixed green salad with lots of beefsteak or vine rippened tomotoes, homemade italian dressing, grilled asparagus, and roasted potatoes...lots of unsweetened iced tea...for dessert a slice of Tiramisu cheesecake with fresh whipped cream. If it's my "last" supper, add a pitcher of strawberry daiquiri's
  8. Fool on the Hill...The Beatles
  9. Good one! Happy XMas (War is Over)...John Lennon Santa Claus Is Coming To Town...Bruce Springsteen Baby Please Come Home (For Christmas)...U2 Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You...Billy Squier
  10. Earlier tonight when i had a few minutes to watch CNN i saw a Canadian from Vancouver who was there and just returned home. He is Jewish and he said that these people, while targeting the Jews (because they were predominately the ones where the attacks accured) don't care who they kill, they just want to kill people. He also said this has to be stopped NOW! I don't really have a point except that sometimes i just hate this world i live in. People are still such animals, even worse.
  11. They taste similar, but root beer that's nice and cold! I don't drink soda much, but i do love the taste of it! Iced tea with sugar or without sugar, with lemon or without lemon? I love unsweetened iced tea with fresh lemon!
  12. I hope you don't throw the ducks in alive... well i ate duck many years ago, but it saddens me to think about it. If cooked right, they did taste good, but i doubt i would like it today. I was happy that i got to work more overtime (and break up what would have been four days off of work in a row)! Okay being facetious. Well i have the weekend off, i will have a few more bucks in my next pay (that i need badly) and my daughter had a great time going out all day with her Aunt and two cousins (who she adores)! So that made me happy. I can sleep late tomorrow, so looking forward to that!
  13. a side note, insects are not animals. We know you have never intentionally hurt an animal, Virginia
  14. Many times, but the longest and most strenous was hiking down the mountain in Beaver Creek, Co ( in the summer), 10,200 foot elevation (and approximately 5 miles). Every muscle in my body ached the next day and i couldn't walk! Still, it was a great experience! HYE seen the John Cleese sitcom "Fawlty Towers"?
  15. I miss alot of posts addressed to me...and some i intentionally avoid :)
  16. ^thanks! I love beautiful scenary...
  17. I love perennial gardens mixed with evergreens and gardens by the beach...and any landscape at the beach...
  18. Well Thanksgiving is still going strong here, but dinner is over and most of dessert. We also got off the Political discussion (kind of unfair, one Republican against 8 Dems)... I had turkey, roasted potatoes, stuffing (all homemade), fresh asparagus, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. We also had green bean casserole, salad, cranberry sauce, meatballs, biscuits and wine. Lots of leftovers for my doggie bag!
  19. Thru With the Two Step...Robert Plant
