  5. No, but if you post racist pics, you can certainly be "considered" to be one
  6. Thanks, Virginia! We are about to take a bath with one of her favorite gifts, a Bratz bathtime doll! I'm sure you can relate to my happiness that (it's over!) Fun, but also stressful at times (all the planning)! and i hope Dzldoc enjoyed his day with mom...didn't take you for a momma's boy, lol JOKING of course!
  7. Exactly right. This time around (after eight hellish years) thanks to The Democrats (yeah!) being in control, again, we have a chance. Left with the worst mess imaginable, they have their work cut out for them. Any forward movement will be positive. At least McCain and Palin didn't get the chance to push us further back a century or two I love to read thoughtful posts from people outisde this country. It proves to me, too many blind Americans allowed us to wind up in this poor condition. At least more Americans had their say this vote! Good luck, America (and Obama/Biden Administration)! and to add one more thought, for The First LedZep (who probably doesn't even own a Led Zeppelin CD) ... funny thing, now that WE WON, TFLZ's useless garble doesn't bother me one bit! What a Stupid fool.
  8. While i like the show, not how i want my country to be run... This was the last eight years......now i hope we have learned our lessons and don't repeat history.
  9. My daughter's birthday party turned out really nice. 40 guests showed up (half were children). At first my daughter felt overwhelmed, but she soon joined in with the dance/activities. She loves all her great gifts! I'm happy she had a great time. Even happier it's over!
  10. Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses...U2
  11. More than 90,000? I drove drunk a few times when i was still a teenager. I remembered the drive, but did stupid things like the memory that stands out the most. I was at a light (i remember which one, too) and it was green and i waited for it to turn red and then i went. I had a few girlfriends (also drinking) with me, and none of us realized how "dangerous" it was for us. Thankfully, i managed to stay safe in those days (miraculous actually). HYE really gone down the wrong path?
  12. I became a huge Cure fan when i was watching a video channel (i don't recall the name, but you called in and gave requests, not any VHI or MTV show). So i'm watching this and the video for "A Letter To Elise" comes on. I loved the song instantly and went out and bought WISH, which was newly released (1992). Anytime my interest in a band is sparked i learn about them. It didn't take me long to purchase most of their albums. Favorite Cure songs: A Letter To Elise (my fav) others in random order: Trust, From The Edge of the Deep Green Sea, Apart, Doing the Unstuck, Plainsong, Pictures of You, Lovesong, Just Like Heaven, Catch, One More Time, A Thousand Hours, Play for Today, Charlotte Sometimes, Boys Don't Cry, Push, A Forest, In Between Days... Favorite Albums: Wish, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Show (live) and Paris (live), Disintegration, Mixed Up (great re-mixes), and Starring at the Sea. I have many Cure Videos (i think a total of 5) Sadly only saw them in concert once (Wild Mood Swings tour). Huge fan of Robert Smith and Simon Gallop! Most underrated awesome band imo.
  13. To answer Dzldoc, i had staples (C-section) Coming back from a trip to Boston my sister got off I-95 to try to use an alternate bridge because of serious traffic. We wound up in Yonkers and it took us about an hour (and asking numerous people for directions) to finally find our way out. Very scary. HYE seen a concert in a large stadium (over 50,000 seats)
  14. Except for the loud tv with Scooby Doo on, very quiet. TNPTP is a millionaire.
  15. I did, they were sneakers and they looked similar, but they were different! HYE been boating in the Everglades? (and then had the Coast Guard tell you you're not supposed to be there)
  16. Maybe but i don't remember (a pint, while has lots of calories, isn't all that much, lol). Have you ever hit a sandbar while boating?
  17. Many times. Have you ever skied down a black diamond mountain trail?
  18. I haven't heard it (and i can't listen to Youtube with my slow connection) If you haven't heard Miss Sarajevo you might enjoy it. A truly beautiful song all around.
  19. If you mean U2's song Miss Sarajevo, i love it (haven't heard it in quite a few years). Pavarotti's part (always brings tears to my eyes): Dici che il fiume Trova la via al mare E come il fiume Giungerai a me Oltre i confini E le terre assetate Dici che come il fiume Come il fiume... L'amore giungerà L'amore... E non so più pregare E nell'amore non so più sperare E quell'amore non so più aspettare [Translation of the above] You say that the river finds the way to the sea and like the river you will come to me beyond the borders and the dry lands You say that like a river like a river... the love will come the love... And i don't know how to pray anymore and in love i don't know how to hope anymore and for that love i don't know how to wait anymore
  20. Only once and i love her. Have you ever eaten kippered salmon?
  21. flowers. Canada or Mexico (for a vacation)
  22. Orange juice and hungry. the beach or the mountains
