  1. In case it was confusing, because your post came in while i was replying to dzldoc, i meant you get used to being lonely I am entirely sober (and yes, too damn, lol) TNPTP is getting ready to take a bath
  2. relaxed or maybe just sleepy TNPTP lives in a warm climate
  3. haha, don't worry, you get used to it TNPTP is having a birthday party this weekend.
  4. I didn't say i liked the movie , i just asked if she saw it. Was worth watching Andy though (he was so young and handsome).
  5. Babe I'm Gonna Leave You...Led Zeppelin
  6. Somehow i don't think i could stand the high pitch whiny voice of Dylan on that one (sorry but i have a hard time with his voice)
  7. Babe I'm Gonna Leave You by Bob Dylan
  8. ^Imagine was the first song to come to mind. My problem with this thread is i had to find a "line" that is awesome, but is specific to the topic of "best line in rock & roll". My drive is to post my favorite lyrics, which is not what the thread is asking. So here is one that qualifies and is definitely in the category of best line (or two): "Music is the traveler crossing our world, Meeting so many people bridging the seas I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band" Moody Blues
  9. They can call themselves Page and Jones (or another name other than Led Zeppelin) and play all the Zeppelin songs they wish! I think it's great if they tour because many are dying to see them play again. My concern is another singer doing Robert Plant's songs. I don't think i could go to that show. But for those who will take what they can get, this will be a magical show. The closest i got to Zeppelin was Live Aid. I have accepted this and still love the music. That's enough for me now....but if Robert were to join in, i would go!
  10. I will admit i didn't read beyond this last page so i don't know what was already said. I can keep it simple. I hope Jimmy calls them something else because without Robert Plant it's only 1/2 of Led Zeppelin (meaning you are missing half the band, Robert and John Bonham). I had enough of a problem with Zeppelin going on without Bonham, but without Robert it's Page and Jones, and so that's what i think they should call themselves. I have to catch up. I heard this news today on the radio when the DJ was happy because it allows him to play 4hrs of Zeppelin (his entire shift). I agreed with what Jackson said. He said it "tarnishes" Zeppelin's legacy to play without Robert and call themselves Led Zeppelin.
  11. Rockin' at Midnight...Robert Plant and the Honeydrippers
  12. I'm not too worried about that. I think people got to see the real Palin and most do not relate to "that". Jon Stewart did a great joke with a pic of Palin and McCain dressed in "13th Century" viking garb... that is about the extent of where she would lead our country. I doubt many want to go that far back in time. I'm also not sure Palin could deal with more of Tina Fey,
  13. Cute pic/tee. At least our country is finally evolving. Frankly, i don't care if a woman is elected President as much as i want someone who truly cares and has the smarts to make a difference. I think Hillary would have been wonderful (except for the hard time she would have been trying to work around). I have confidence a hoe will make it into the top position one day (Democratic one that is).
  14. I take offense to this pic...Curious George is a hero among monkeys, children, and parents, too Bush isn't as smart as a monkey, pleeze.... Anyway, if you read Rock's opening post...ditto for me! (yes, i love the PBS Curious George cartoon) especially the first seasons when William H. Macy was the narrator.
  15. To be fair to Spats, he didn't start this thread.
  16. All Along the Watchtower...U2 (cover)
  17. Years ago i dated a guy who took me to a local Korean restaurant quite a few times. They bring you the grill and meat with large leaves of Romaine lettuce. You cook the meat yourself and wrap it in the Romaine. We would start off with an appetizer sampler that had different types specialties, cucumbers in a sweet sauce, KimChee (very hot) and other stuff like that. The only dish i really liked was grilled shrimp. Personally, i don't care if i never eat Korean food again. I do enjoy Thai food. But the best is Asian fusion...if a restaurant is good at it, delicious.
  18. I love hot green tea (by the pot)! I also love anything Tempura and cooked sushi (California Rolls, Salmon, Tempura rolls). Then there's the Hibachi grill and i love shrimp and lobster cooked that way! Eating good food is certainly a pleasure.
  19. Google it and you can probably find the answer... I just think this is the icing on the cake of how stupid McCain and his nasty campaign was run. Joe the dirtbag gets famous... unbelievable.
  20. I love Japanese food, so comforting... I'm happy i voted and this election is almost over. I enjoyed picking out party supplies for my baby's birthday party this weekend. I will be happy on Friday when i get a three day weekend (would have been four but need to work OT on Thursday). Got a gallon of unsweet iced tea today, too...the little things make me the happiest sometimes.

    Voting

Interesting, but since our country did elect him (or he managed to get elected somehow i can't figure out) and he did ruin our relations with the rest of the world (as well as screwing us, i don't see why there's any mystery surrounding their opinion. I feel the same and i have lived here my entire life.

Four hours ago! I hope and pray my vote makes a difference this time. Funny thing, someone tried to advise me on who i should pick. He said "Do you know we have an American hero running"? I said "Joe Biden" and he said, no... lol, like anyone should waste their breath telling me who to vote for. As my daughter says, we want Obamo (not a typo). Time for the Bush followers to move on.
