  1. Thanks, Virginia! One more session and then a final swim test in 4 weeks. Congrats to your children on their accomplishments on swim team! I'm glad your daugther is feeling better, too. So today we plan on asking Brad how old he is
  2. Happy Birthday to you! Glad you had a great day!
  3. lzfan715, Footsteps of Dawn, Fan S. , thanks! My daughter is almost five so a bit young for a guy as old as Brad (i know he must be at least 17, i need to ask him), but that is what made it so cute! My daughter is a people lover entirely! She has a natural charm as well, and has always drawn people to her since infancy. I saw her flirting today, and thought WOW! I know i will have to stay on my toes as she grows up! Slave to zep, she has shown me she has good taste in men! Like me? Well, some of the time
  4. Yet another beautiful day. The weather has been so nice the past month. Spending all day at the swim club. My daughter passing her swim test after her first session of swim lessons. Watching her make new friends swimming and playing... and her first crush. She told one of the lifeguards (who is very cute and nice) "Brad you're adorable and handsome", she had all the lifeguards laughing and Brad was so flattered he asked her for a hug Happy after tomorrow, four days off of work!
  5. Hi Dzldoc, miss ya! I have had crawfish many times, but Maine Lobster and Snow Crab Legs will always be two of my very favorite foods, and my very favorite seafood. YUMMY!!! Happy i am off today and tomorrow! Happy the weather has been nice. Happy i had my new roof done this past weekend (no more fear of rain)!
  6. I was going to ask you about this. I saw it on CNN yesterday. Trash piled up all over the place. A couple vacationing from Montreal said how awful it was and that their beautiful city would never be like this. As a fan of HGTV i see alot of real estate shows that take place in Toronto and the waterfront area in particular is so pretty. I hope this strike ends soon so you can get your beautiful city back.
  7. Hi slave to zep! Dinner was good. I had lobster!
  8. Watching last night's episode of The Bachelorette and finally seeing the truth about Austin Texas musician "Wes" come out. He seemed to be charming her, but he was actually just being "conniving" the whole time. Only there for selfish reasons. I saw it early on since he reminded me so much of someone who did that to me. You should really watch this dude, you will see the resemblance (may seem like a cheap shot, but it's true). You know who you are Having a nice dinner out with my favorite person. We had such a great time! Things are starting to come along.
  9. I hope your son feels better soon. I have swimmer's ear for the first time ever. I'm taking antibiotic drops but since i haven't seen the dr. and my ear still feels a bit clogged i may have to get to one. That makes me unhappy... i can't swim and hate wasting time at a dr's. office.
  10. I have always felt that way, too. If you don't consider having a pet a family member, don't have any, simple enough. For the first time in my life, getting swimmer's ear. I should have known that water slides, diving into deep water, and doing handstands under water at my age wasn't a good idea. At least after starting antibiotics yesterday my ear doesn't hurt today, and the clogged feeling is gone. I'm glad it's a bit too cool to swim today, because i probably can't swim for at least a week (under water anyway).
  11. Beautiful, sunny, currently 76 with a high estimated at 80 degrees, 45% humidity and light winds. Great day to eat the grilled foods my brother in law is preparing and hanging out with my sister and all the kids.
  12. I get winter blues and this past year had it's share of them, so i am really appreciating how much better i have felt this past month At least you have a nice guy to keep you warm on the cool nights edit: also made me happy (yesterday) i did something i feared. My nieces talked me into going on the waterslide. It's quite high with very sharp turns, and i was scared, but did it! Was kind of fun (drops you into the 8 foot swim tank).
  13. Swimming with my daughter and nieces most of the day... watching my daughter learn new activities in gymnastics class, then... dinner out with my sister and the kids.... realizing how much better i have felt since summer arrived!
  14. Today was gorgeous. Got up to 85 degrees, low humidity, sunny most of the day. Another great day at the pool.
  15. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. My first cat died recently and i still miss her. I sometimes think i hear her meowing. But then i realize, it's my second cat
  16. Awesome BIGDAN, love to see pics Another great day at the swim club. Watching my daughter gaining confidence with each swim lesson. Hanging at the pool with my nieces. Sunshine, swimming, and some delicious fresh fruit that i just ate (a nectarine and some dark red cherries)
  17. Victoria wishes you a happy birthday, dad.
  18. Walking on the Moon... The Police
  19. Congrats on the granddaughter! I don't miss that age, but i remember how precious my daughter was back then. Glad you have some help with your pain, too. Today was beautiful. No rain, temps warmed into the 80's, got to watch my daughter take her first swimming lesson, got to hang out with almost all my immediate family today at some point (saw the sister, nieces and my dad), had a nice dinner with mom, brother-in-law and the nephews, and got to register my daughter not only for the ballet/tap combo we planned, but hip-hop, too! Grooming a musician/dancer/pediatrician
  20. I agree Spyro Gyra sound a bit pop. I still like them. Funny, much of this music could qualify as "elevator music" too i fear Ever hear David Lanz with Paul Spear? Great together. I will admit, haven't listened to this kind of music in quite a few years. Time to dig out some old CD's.
  21. I had a boyfriend in the late eighties who loved all the New Age Jazz (another term, lol) and we saw Pat Metheny Band 7, maybe 8 times. We also saw Jean Luc Ponty, Spyro Gyra (maybe 10 times) and a pianist i loved, David Lanz, to name a few. Very relaxing music to me.
