  1. I'm not Steve, but--the flyer states that the festival will be over 2 days and that the following bands (in alphabetical order) would play, without specifying on which days. It doesn't imply that they would all play on both days. And it was quite a common, if confusing, way of advertising such festivals.
  2. Hadn't seen that one before, thanks MSG. I hardly dare ask what Jimmy's doing.
  3. I hadn't seen that one, Deborah, it's great! (On the down side, I notice a lot of pics have disappeared from this page. )
  4. Of course! I didn't recognize him out of context, but must have dozens of pics of him in Stones books from that era. Good sleuthing.
  5. Hmm, definitely not JPJ--at first quick glance I thought it was Bonzo (misled by the moustache), but not him either . . . Your guess may be correct, MSG.
  6. Sorry, haven't been on for a bit! The weather wasn't great, but it stayed dry for Beck, who was incredible. He played quite a lot of the new album, though the highlight for me was Sly's I Want to Take You Higher--just seemed perfect for the occasion! The next day it did rain during the Dead Weather, who were on at the same time as Van Morrison , but they were terrific--100% energy, as always.
  7. That description on Facebook made me MORE enthusiastic about it! People have different attitudes to these things, I guess.
  8. "The other members" upgrades Jason to a full-fledged member of Zeppelin--he may be Bonzo's son, but he's played with them a few times, that's it. (And I'm a big fan of his.)
  9. That's it! And wasn't it around that time he had his teeth fixed? It's obviously a ploy to recruit satanic dentists! (We all know how evil dentists can be . . )
  10. But this was RP singing, so why would HE sing "devil people"? Unless Jimmy put him up to it . . .
  11. Be interesting to find out about that Saturday, as he's playing the New Orleans Jazz Fest, and all being well I shall be there, and for the Dead Weather on the Sunday.
  12. I love Jason, but I'd much rather see him doing something original of his own than becoming part of what will be, let's face it, a tribute band (albeit presumably the best).
  13. Of course he's posing, he's a performer.
  14. Some great pics everyone. You look fantastic here, Bonnie--love the hair!
  15. Great pictures of what sounds like a great concert--so glad you enjoyed it. I was Paul's biggest fan when I was your age (though that was several decades ago now!).

  16. Thanks for the tip about Madame Sata. ;-)

  17. I think Janet's point though was that the writer meant unscrupulous.
  18. We've now got TWO threads again, giving Jack Bruce a hard time for something he said God knows how long ago? And that's not counting the original thread??
  19. Welcome to the forum!

  20. I had a shot at it, Virginia, but it wasn't large enough to read it all. Perhaps you can enlarge it further.
  21. The good news is I've got all these issues of IT, the bad news is they're in an attic on the other side of the Atlantic! I may be able to be reunited with them fairly soon though, and if so will post what I find.
  22. Billy Connolly. A very entertaining appearance by two (at least) geniuses!
  23. Just amazing picture. Everything about it!
  24. It was posted in the band pics thread at least once, I don't know if it's still there.
