  2. It's only one game, but when I see players with the dedication, brains, and hustle of Hutchinson & St. Brown, it's hard to not to get excited. Our D rookies made two awesome plays in a row. I like. Lots of dropped balls by KC. Don't know what to say about the fake punt, except our coach has balls the size of ostrich eggs. How did all those Lions fans get tickets? Maybe it was just the blue contrasting with the red, but there sure seemed to be a lot of them for an opponent celebrating a Super Bowl. We ended last season in prime-time and started this one the same. I guess that's a sign of new respect in itself.

  4. I'll take the Chiefs tonight.
  5. Enjoyed the Verlander vs. Cabrera matchup yesterday. The best hitter and pitcher I'll ever see in a Tiger uniform. Verlander still throwing 95mph and the curve ball is better than ever. Miggy is basically playing on one leg, but he's hit over .300 since June. Four batting titles for a guy who never got a cheap hit. Both will be in the Hall and on our Wall in rightfield eventually. Jim Price, the back-up to Bill Freehan on the 1968 team. From the first day in a uniform he always referred to Al as 'Mr. Kaline'. He was also our announcer for many years. May he RIP.
  6. Let's talk about the elephant in the room. Am I mistaken, or did not Chris Christie have some type of lap band or bariatric surgery in the last 5 years? Was this reversed for some reason? He seems to have gained all the weight back, which from my limited experience from a couple people is a health danger. I'm not trying to get on his case. He's certainly not the only American facing a weight problem. However I think it's relevant if he's trying to run for President. Also, I shot a 62 last week on a PGA course and can run a 4.6 40-yard dash at 63 years of age. You believe me, don't you?
  7. The Lions have sold every ticket for this upcoming season. According to Vegas, their over/under on wins is 9.5. I'm fighting off the urge to visit MGM to make that bet on the under. My friends are all aboard the bandwagon insisting this era 'feels different'. I'll protect my football nuts until I see proof.
  8. I would have paid big money to see Cab Calloway's band back in the day. Bill Robinson was 30 years older than Lena when he starred in this pic. Not many other black male actors were deemed acceptable to white audiences. Fats Waller died at 39 soon after this was made. I could pull my groin muscles just watching that Nicholas Bros. scene. Still a great flick to watch after 80 years.
  9. Does Joe Biden wear boxers or briefs? Depends. How many Republicans does it take to change a light bulb? None. Trump will say it's done, and they'll all sit in the dark and applaud.
  10. Rodriguez, subject of Oscar-winning doc "Searching for Sugarman," dies at 81 (detroitnews.com) R.I.P. Sugarman.

  12. Measles Outbreak Racked Up Dozens of Cases in Central Ohio | MedPage Today Have no fear. Ignorance & stupidity still moves faster than any disease.
  13. Personally if I was Mike Pence, I would have cracked the orange one right across the jaw the first time I saw him for threatening myself and my family, as 90% of American males would. However accurate notetaking might just end up accomplishing far more. Cage the Kracken! Nothing to take personal Jabe. Strictly politics. I've spent time in Huntsville & Gulf Shores and had a great time. I had more than one friend back in the day get transferred by Chrysler to Huntsville without complaint.
  14. Good to see the "Repugnant Circle Jerk" is alive and well. Why it seems like only yesterday they were worried about 'Birtherism' and the 'Muslim Agenda'. Now they're spinning a new tale about 'the benevolent slave owner'. Let's give them some credit for continuity. After all, who has ever heard of a 'Whitesmith'? And all this time I thought 'whitewash' had something to do with laundry. I'm starting to think all this 'God & Country' crap is just an excuse for some good old-fashioned white supremacy. By the way, it's good to see Alabama still has a wheel in the ditch. Will Sleepy Joe be forced to take federal action to enforce the wishes of the Trump-packed Supreme Court before the next election? We can only hope. Stay tuned! We don't know what you look like and wouldn't believe you if you posted a pic. That comes with the territory when you change your username up teen times so you can feel comfortable posting the same old crap. See you in 15 months.
  15. Thanks. Saw the Cubs wearing "Wrigleyville" jerseys, and the Brewers wearing "Brew Crew", but had no idea why. Watched both, as it was miserably hot here. Quite a display, and the locals seemed to appreciate what they were witnessing. The ump sure gave him some strike zone help though.
