  1. Stairway is excellent...back in the day it was overplayed...so I would have to say the most bueatful 8:20 is "The Rain Song"...on "The Song Remains The Same"... Think it's time for a cross country drive...Yup Time for a Zep-a-thon...
  2. So True...you can't have a Led Zeppelin Tour...John Henry...is no longer with us...They can have a collection of Friends...But it would flop with Robert...I was there...and we can never be there again...In two years lets see what happens... Deal with it...
  3. An outtake does not mean the song is not worth releasing…Back in the 70’s labels did not like to release multiple albums… Dam Yes Songs was a 3 album set and it cost somewhere between $15 and $20 with taxes…back in 73 this was money…so some tunes were left off for another day…and by definition it’s an outtake… As far as Mothership is concerned…Yes it is a compilation…it will be on vinyl…not with “new tunes”… but it’s an album…thus the last…Technically… …Engineers love to split hairs… As far as "Do what thou wilt"…a google search and a conversation with a bud…concludes that it was on the first pressing…I know about recycled vinyl…thus a reduction in thickness could be the cause…I don’t know for sure…won’t argue the fact…I like music…but it’s not a passion…other things are…which keeps me busy… And I stand corrected...Destroyer 77 was recorded in Cleveland...
  4. Give this man a Cigar…It’s Blasphemy to f…with perfection…(even if it consists of a bunch of outtakes from previous releases)…
  5. It's live...if you want perfect...spin...a studio release...live is on the edge…The edge moves...changes... I am a purist…I still get pissed off when I here a band do a Zep Tune…I never listened to and never will listen to the tribute…Duran Duran doing Zeppelin…Give me a break…I wanted to shoot Jimmy when he dishonored Kashmir and the memory oh of John Henry by turning the tune into “Rap-Crap”…Dam I started listening to them back in 69…I remember hearing about the New Yardbirds back in 68…I loved it when they tossed the Beatles off the charts…I laughed at my friends…and still do…over 200 million units sold… P.S. If they do an album and support it with a tour or just do a tour…I hope…Even with Jason on Drums…It will not be Led Zeppelin…Just a “Collection of Friends” doing Zeppelin…Zeppelin Died on September 24, 1980 with the death of John Henry Bonham…Bonzo… Zeppelin is and was John Henry Bonham John Paul Jones (John Baldwin) James Patrick Page Robert Anthony Plant and never can be again...
  6. This would be a superb live release…but It is my opinion…and we all know about opinions…I would not mix…Reason being that as Jimmy stated…we never do the song the same twice…So to keep with tradition…release another with a different rendition…Keep in mind…making changes is…Sacrileges…Blasphemy… Add a 4th disc…In My Time of Dying…In the Evening… Bron-Y-Aur Stomp…Tangerine…Celebration Day…Train Kept-a-Rollin…Nobodies Fault…etc…
  7. To be honest, I have not listened to the original (vinyl) in years (due to a fire)…my ears tell me the original sounded better…for some reason Dazed does not sound the same…It appears I must get a turntable and start recollecting vinyl…I must add, it's still sounds like the "gods of R & R" to me… …”James Patrick Magic Fingers Page Plays Guitar”… Last but not least…yes I agree…they should not of changed a thing…adding tracks is fine…making changes is…Sacrileges…Blasphemy…Need one say more…

    What is

    ...The DJ's killed this on...
  9. No offense taken…It was apparent you were having some fun…So I returned the favor…No I have not bought a boot since the 80’s except for Destroyer…77 concert recorded in Washington and the sound is worse then the LP and when it was put on CD the Nut Cracker melody was cut out of “No Quarter”…Now if you know of a good recording of this I am interested…Also considering that most boos sound crappy…I don’t purchase them when I come across them…But if you know different let me know… I am more then sure It was a first pressing because it had the Alistair Crowley quotes stamped on the inner edge of the vinyl…on the A side "Do What Thou Wilt..." and on side B, "So Mote Be It"…
  10. Bad Joke...Deserves a comment…Never liked colleens…never will…
  11. Trivia…Poor Tom was recorded with John Henry playing double base…I wish they let him do more with the double base…And it was recorded on my B-day…Yes it’s an excellent tune…
  12. Does anyone have pictures from the Outrider show that captures the ‘Lunatic” that climbed out of his wheelchair and Air Jammed on the barricade. I am that Lunatic…And would appreciate any and all feedback…
  13. “In Through The Out Door” (…which I love to do…) was their last studio release…Coda was a compilation of previously un-released recordings…’I can’t Quit You Baby” was a recorded sound check at Royal Albert Hall on September 1’ 70…Thus it is a live recording that was previously unreleased…So the Coda was the bands last LP… And to the Hockey Puck that stated…”Phil Collins plays drums on Bonzos Monteux”…No John Henry Bonham played the drums during the recording…Phil Collins isn’t a pimple on Bonzos behind…
  14. Passed on, they clobbered the Beatles and took the “Thrown” by pure Musical Force… I am not Known for being P.C.
  15. June 7’ 77 @ Madison Square Garden. No warm up band, the lights went out and they jammed into the “Song Remains the Same” and jumped into “Sick Again”. Does anyone remember the laser lights over JPJ projected onto the ceiling during his solo in “No Quarter” . I wish they played “Hots on For Nowhere”. On July 10’ 00, at the Jones Beach Theater Jimmy Page & the Black Crows played “Hots”. That was another fun show.
