  1. Though this might be extra interference... What he loves better than music might be his children. He really said in some interview (2004 or 2005?) ''The greatest moment in my life is the moment when each of my children was born.'' (he sincerely had loved child's mother before the child's birth of course ) But I lost this article!! When I find it, I'll introduce it here again.
  2. I love your comment. I'm jealous of only Charlotte contrary to you (sorry!) Because she was the only woman whom Jimmy really lived with and called 'my lady' in the 70's. I think she is the best person for writing the book on Jimmy, but she will never do it. (But I want to read it very much because she knows REAL JIMMY well!) They are beautiful couple and family... (the quality of these pics is not so good, sorry)
  3. My favorite Jimmy....
  4. I think from 1972 to 1974 were the peak of Zeppelin's days of debauchery judging from their interviews. However they firmly had their family life oppositely.I love them in this respect as well as music. http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertai...ock-557876.html Jimmy Page: The godfather of rock Friday, 27 August 2004 It sounds a far cry from the Led Zep days of debauchery, but Page stubbornly (and somewhat implausibly) insists that, despite the band's drug-crazed hell-raising and trail-blazing around the globe in the 1970s - when they were without doubt the biggest band in the world - they were all "family men" at heart. It is this, he claims, that kept them together from their formation in London in 1968 to the death of their drummer, John Bonham, in 1980. "The four members of Led Zeppelin were very different characters in their lifestyles, and that's what made them tick. Two lived in the South and two lived in the Midlands and, apart from when we got together to do rehearsals and write and record, we were all family men with separate lives. Yet when the four members bonded together musically, it brought out this different, fifth, element." After reunion 2007 http://www.omgili.com/newsgroups/alt/music...angel+interview Q: How did you cope coming off the road at the end of the '73 tour? JP: You couldn't just get off the plane and click back into real life. We'd had months and months of being bombarded, if you like, with intense images and sensations. I can remember coming back and suddenly the dimensions of the room you're in seem different from how they'd been before. It took time to settle down. But, for me, it was always good to have that other side of the coin: family life. I am enchanted to his dual nature. A devil and a family man...
  5. Thank you,PlanetPage. I remember these pictures well. These pics were taken in the Swan Song office on May 1982. Jimmy received the interview of Japanese music magazine named 'MUSIC LIFE' at that time. (the book must be in the attic) It was written in the magazine that ''Jimmy came to the office with his wife Charlotte to receive the interview. Before the interview he bought a fountain pen of dragon's picture at the shop in Kings Road.'' And he mainly talked about 'Death Wish Ⅱ' then.
  6. I'm sure Clive was a nice and handsome guy too. Thanks for sharing your excellent pictures.
  7. Then, Clive Coulson also knew the moment when Scarlet Page was conceived at Bron-Yr-Aur,didn't he? I personally think Bron-Yr-Aur session was one of the most romantic moments of Jimmy's life. But why cannot we see any beautiful pictures from the time?
  8. Those are great pictures, but his then face looks a little bit sad to me.
  9. Thank you aen27. Jimmy's first and second ladies look like really well. This is from me.(in Japan 1990) With Charlotte in Knebworth backstage on August 1979. Me too!! And more....
  10. I remember this very well. He had been ardent to the charity activity from 70's.
  11. I love pictures of Jimmy with his children. They are really beautiful. A few years ago I had read in a magazine that Jimmy said '' the most wonderful time in my life was the moment of each of my children's births''. I forgot this magazine's name. Does anybody know this? MOJO?Classic Rock? Guitar World?or Uncut??or other...
  12. What a beautiful man! I really envy Charlotte....... I also have never seen these pictures before. aen27,where and when were they taken?
  13. Jimmy attended the private view of this event 12 May 2008 at Victoria & Albert Museum. He seems to have spent very happy time with Mary Wilson at that time. The Story of The Supremes from the Mary Wilson Collection http://www.vam.ac.uk/collections/theatre_p...emes/index.html
  14. It is an impression that I had received then. I'm sure she had a great knowledge in the art and literature (as well as Jimmy). Eric Clapton was touching it a little in his autobiography. And I love George and Pattie too! I feel very happy to see his cheerful smiles!
  15. Besides, the content of NME I remember is that Jimmy said that what should be of the pope and Vatican. He also said ''my wife (or lady?) went to Italy and she told me that it's like Fort Knox.'' Jimmy was talking that he wanted to issue a book in the future (with Charlotte?). They seemed a nice couple to me.
  16. Me too! aen27,where did you find this picture? You would always find nice pics. This Jimmy is in NME interview in Swan Song office before Knebworth festival in 1979,isn't it? I remember he was talking about politics and politician in Britain at that time. He said Edward Heath was an honest person. Jimmy might have felt familiarity with ex- Prime Minister Edward Heath who was also the organist.
  17. It is that I felt it. I don't use English in my daily life, sorry!
  18. I understand what you want to say.I certainty overstated about the girl of that picture. I'm sorry. When I see your current comments , I'm afraid you do not like the first and the second of Jimmy's wives. If it is so, I don't care about it at all. I'm not interested in the reasons at all. But both of them are called my close-knit family by Jimmy himself actually even today. This is an evidence that he thinks them to be important for him. On the contrary, Jimmy was very angry that a mere groupie wrote her relationship with him in her book in the exaggeration. I never say fabrication. This is true because the author herself of the book said that (his angry). This groupie had Jimmy revolted very much. Do they mutually have contact today? The answer is NO! I only love people whom he loves. There was a description that he was despising vamps who have sprung up in rock scene in Richie York's first Led Zep biography book. I was glad to read it. Because I had a same opinion. Though I sometimes feel the excess of the discussion here , a silence is regained in the thread after for a while. If you want to express your opinion, I hope it when the topic overheats. . Anyway thank you for your advice.
  19. In these days Jimmy seems really happy, calm, elegant and intelligent. The people who don't know him might surely think him to be a college professor or a conductor of an orchestra.
  20. Oh,is it sarcastic? I certainly like Carla Bruni-Sarkozy too. She never said an extra thing though she had also dated a few major Rock stars. Danielle Mitterrand (wife of François Mitterrand: ex- the President of France) answered that ’You should not ask such a private question’ when she was asked about his husband's child of infidelity by newspaper reporters. They never took up that topic since then. And they were married couple to the last minute. I think that this is a true elegance. I wrote extra things too much. Now back to the original theme (Jimmy's hot pics). Jimmy and young pretty athletes. He looks very glad!
  21. You have misunderstood in part. Charlotte Martin is the French not the English. I think the French is considerably different from other countries for the marriage. In general they are generous to the opposite sex relation of the partner. Once upon a time ,they called Jacqueline Onassis 'the woman who has safe in her mind'. (When I read her biography, I felt this completely!) I personally think the French women are the most elegant people in the world.
  22. I personally think that Pamela is a good person ,but if it was true, why did Jimmy call her a bimbo? I suspect she wrote about her relationship with him exaggeratedly more than the actuality.
  23. Thank you AMAZONIC ,aen27. These are from me. Jimmy looks happy and cheerful! At the end of last May Jimmy went to the Scarecrow trail in Berkshire. I wonder if he was given his digital camera from Ross or Scarlet.
  24. I personally esteem your opinion. But as we have another opinions, each musician has their ones. David Gilmore of Pink Floyd said in interview in 1971(who stayed in Tokyo then). The relation between the groupies and the musicians look like the prostitutes and the guests who trace parallel lines. It's only that there isn't money issue. In 1988,when the DJ of Miami radio station asked Jimmy Page what he thought of Pamela's book and his reply was, "Oh I've met a lot of bimbos out there. You know how girls like to exaggerate". Both Jimmy and Dave have a negative idea about rock stars' hangers. It is clear that they never loved them. On the contrary I'm sure Robert Plant has a respect for groupies. The reason why I love Charlotte isn't that she was a fashion model. She never talked about Jimmy so far. And she is his child's mother and his granddaughter's grandmother. I think she is so classy lady(just like Jane Asher who never talked about Paul McCartney). In fact Jimmy called Charlotte 'my lady'. Was there another woman besides her who was called in such a beautiful expression by him? I'm sure they have a very strong ties even today.
  25. Oh,I forgot to write this! This Jimmy's clothes was by Yves Saint-Laurent. It's very classy! And Jimmy was selected to one of the best dressers by GQ magazine. (In addition Mr.Saint-Laurent died in last June)
