  1. Looks great! I am still thinking of getting one but still haven't decided where....maybe one of these days!
  2. I am thinking of attending both nights of the concert. Might check out what seats are left for the 24th and see if there are better ones than the ones I have already. Still waiting to hear about tickets for the 25th. Sounds like you got some ideas on things to do while in St. Lous. Marriott isn't that far from the Fox.
  3. It is true. You can go to the Fox Theatre website here and read it for yourself: http://www.fabulousfox.com/shows_page_multi.aspx?usID=88 It was also listed on the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss website but since the June 19, 2008 has passed it is no longer listed there but is on the news area listed here: http://www.robertplantalisonkrauss.com/site.php?content=news It mentions July 19, 2008 but that is a typo they didn't catch. I wished it wasn't true and the concert would have been last night! I was so bummed all day at work. I guess I will have to wait. I am wondering what they are gonna be doing from July 19, 2008 when the listed tour dates end till Sept. 24-25, 2008 rolls around.
  4. Thanks for the report and glad you had a good time. I was so bummed all day yesterday since that was supposed to be the day of the concert in St. Louis, MO. Oh well, I guess I will wait till Sept to see them. I am still waiting to hear from the Fox when the 2nd date (Sept. 25) tickets go on sale. Gonna try to get better seats for the 25th to replace my original tickets for June 19th that will be honored at the Sept. 24 show. I keep checking their website daily and the Metrotix has my phone number since they are keeping a list of people who want tickets for the 25th that had tickets for the original date. The person at Metrotix said the postponing of the concert really messed up alot of peoples vacations and all and since it wasn't announced till last Friday alot of people were already off work or getting ready to go on their vacation and come to St. Louis for the concert. I am almost tempted to go both nights to the concert!
  5. I don't think it has flooded yet there but might. I was wondering the same thing if they postponed it in case it was going to flood. The Fox is downtown but quite a ways from the River and the last big flood they had 15 years ago it didn't flood that far to the fox just the steps up to the Arch were flooded. I lived in North Carolina at the time but I asked a coworker last week about the St. Louis flooding 15 years ago and if the Fox was affected then.
  6. Great pics of him at Bonnaroo! I am surprised there aren't any videos of their performance on Youtube yet from Bonaroo! I keep checking but none posted yet! I am still trying to get over not getting to see/hear Robert this Thursday in St. Louis, MO since they rescheduled their concert to Sept! I hope I can make it till the end of Sept to see him! Never seen/heard him in person and I was so looking forward to it this week, when I got the email and phone message about the rescheduled date I was so disappointed. I am wondering if they really rescheduled it due to the forecasting flooding they are calling for in St. Louis, MO this Thursday/Friday...suppose to be worse flooding than it was in 1995 I have been hearing. The Fox Theatre where the concert was to be this Thursday is located in downtown St. Louis, MO but not that close to the Mississippi River and the Landing. They said they rescheduled it and added a second night so they could film a dvd of the concert which will be cool but I just wish I didn't have to wait almost 3 months to see Robert!!!
  7. I got my new issue of Rolling Stone and there is an article about Robert and Alison in it. It is a pretty good article and 2-3 pictures in it. I think it is the same one listed on Robert's website at: http://www.robertplant.com/index.php?l1=2&...D=107&rt=NE Just thought I would pass this along.
  8. I think it is great you got one! My boss at work got one a few years ago for turning 50 also. She designed her own image (a turtle) and had it put on her forearm so it could be seen by everyone! Another person at work, our book keeper has 2 of them on her upper back! I have been wanting to get a westie (I have three Westies (dogs)) one-would like it to be an image of one of mine or all three of my westies together or something. Just haven't decided where I want it at. After that I would love to get something related to Led Zeppelin too!
  9. That is what I thought too, they did the tribute thing instead of the Robert footage. Maybe they will run it next Sunday!! I hope so!
  10. Just watched the entire show and nothing was shown about it.....maybe it will be on next week? I hope!
  11. Thanks for the info. on this. I will plan to tape it and also be up to watch it Sunday morning.
  12. Yes the Fabulous Fox is a great venue. It has wonderful sound and is a site to see. I am so glad they restored it back in the 80's as it was run down and in shambles till they did that. I think it was back in the 80's they restored it. I am still bummed about the change in the date but I guess I will survive. The positive side to this is I am going to try to get better seats for the 2nd show they added. I just hope I can afford the gas by the time Sept rolls around! We are at $4.09 a gallong or more here right now. Until then I will check out the Youtube videos of their concerts and get my Robert fix that way!
  13. Let us know how the Detroit show goes on Tuesday. I had thought about going to the Chicago area show but decided against it since St. Louis is closer to me driving distance and all. I must say I was impressed that I got a phone message from Metrotix about the date change also. I guess since it was such short notice they did that.
  14. I like all of them but I really like Polly Come Home and Nothin. I also like Fortune Teller too.
  15. I just got an email about an hour ago that the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss concert at the Fox in St. Louis, MO that was scheduled for June 19, 2008 has been rescheduled for Sept. 24 and Sept. 25, 2008. The 2nd night was added. In the email I got it stated filming for a dvd will be done on both nights. JUNE 19th ST. LOUIS PERFORMANCE RESCHEDULED! 2ND PERFORMANCE ADDED BY POPULAR DEMAND! ROBERT PLANT AND ALISON KRAUSS Featuring T Bone Burnett September 24 & 25 • 8pm Fabulous Fox Theatre The Robert Plant & Alison Krauss concert at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, MO on June 19th has been RESCHEDULED to September 24th to allow for the planned filming of a forthcoming concert DVD. Due to popular demand, an additional second concert has been added for September 25th, which is also scheduled to be filmed. Tickets for the June 19th performance will be honored at the September 24th show. If you have purchased tickets to the June 19th performance and are unable to attend on September 24th, please contact MetroTix at 314/534-1111. The on-sale date for the September 25th show will be announced soon! I am bummed about the change! I was really getting excited and counting down the days till the concert....now I gotta wait 3 months to see Robert!!! DAMN! I guess the bright side to this is I am gonna try to get better seats for the added night and try to get right up front since I waited too long when I got the tickets for the original date and got seats in the lower balcony.
  16. I finally registered to this site so I could post. I have been reading posts since December though. I got my tickets on Friday for the St. Louis, MO show on June 19th! I can't wait. I saw Jimmy when he was in the Firm back in the 80's at one of their first tours in Wichita, KS. I kinda waited till the last minute to get my tickets for the show coming up but I think the seats will be pretty good, in the upper balcony. When I ordered my tickets the show was almost sold out last week! I have wanted to Robert in concert for years but never got around to it and I decided I had to go to this show since it was so close to where I live!
