You Are What You Is, Joe's Garage, and Broadway the Hard Way are some really good ones that it appears have not been previously mentioned. Lots of funny lyrics and challenging instrumentals.
All right, I've got a question. I apologize if this has already been covered. You recently made a post that said that Jimmy Page made his American concert debut in Minneapolis on 8-5-66. (With the Yardbirds) My question: Was he the bass player on that gig?
I picked the Song Remains the Same. I'm surprised more people are not picking it, although I am not surprised by the low response to The Crunge. I like the stacatto rhythm guitar but the synth is obnoxious.
So now the Stone Temple Pilots are getting back together and touring. What is the deal with the future of Velvet Revolver? Does anyone have the word on that?
Thanks. I was too young to go to concerts when the Doors were initially big. I got hip to them in the late '70's when I was in college. Have you heard "An American Prayer"?
Glad to see there is some Doors fans here in L.Z. land. I've got all the studio albums plus some extra stuff. There is only one band I'm into more. I could name some obvious songs as my favorites. Instead here is some good ones that are not as well known that are among my favorites:
The Crystal Ship
Take it as it Comes
Strange Days
Moonlight Drive
Not to Touch the Earth
Spanish Caravan
Shaman's Blues
Peace Frog/Blue Sunday
Cars Hiss By My Window
The Wasp (Texas Radio and the Big Beat)
Who Do You Love?
The Celebration of the Lizard
I'll take a Bourbon and Coke, with an extra shot of Bourbon, lots of ice, in a medium sized glass. And while I'm gulping down this beverage, put a couple of concert tickets on the tab!! I hear that tourists have always loved London in December.
