Hello Everyone:
I watched The Juno Awards on Sunday eve. The show seems to get better each year. I won't pick a favourite act...they were all good.
Next year it will be held in London Ontario at The Budweiser Gardens.

Hi: I heard this band on Last Call with Carson Daly. This show is on @ 2:30 am where I live. The show may have been a repeat because there's no mention on the GVF FB pg that they were on LC. Anyhow I was impressed with their music. Being an insomniac has some rewards!!

The Manson story has been on most Canadian and US networks......I remember when it first happened. I'd rather remember the victims...May they rest in peace.

Justin Trudeau, Canadian PM, promised to legalize it. It is probably one of the reasons he and his party were elected. It will be legal in 2018.
Now there's a lot of discussion on how to tell if a person is impaired from weed. What instrument should be used to measure the amount of chemical in you is one of the issues..There will be zero tolerance if a person drives while stoned.

I never heard The ABB in concert. I heard Devon Allman, Gregg's son, a few years ago at the London Bluesfest (London Ontario). He covered Midnight Rider and played many other tunes with his band at the time. Wow... Devon is an excellent guitar player!!!
I have The ABB album, Brothers and Sisters, as well as, Laid Back (one of Gregg's solo albums) and Low Country Blues (a more recent work)

I was watching WDIV (Detroit) yesterday. One of the reporters had been at the concert. He was very shocked at the news of Chris' death..
I was also watching a report on CTV London. The person being interviewed talked about how he felt bullied when he was younger. He would go home and put on a SOUNDGARDEN cd and the tunes would make him feel much better..

Did anyone watch The Juno Awards? I watched for five minutes than switched to the ACM awards due to the disgusting comments made by the co-host, Russell Peters. I switched back to The Junos to hear the finale of many singing Bryan Adams', SUMMER OF '69.

I watch, THE DESIGNATED SURVIVOR, starring Kiefer Sutherland on Wed @ 10 pm on CTV and ABC. I also watched the latest episode of, CRIMINAL MINDS. It was on last Wed before DS. Tatum O'Neal played one of the characters on C Minds. She did a very good job.

I finally bought the cd, JOANNE...I have not heard the whole cd ...I did not like A Million Reasons at first but the more I listen to it the more I like it..even though it is a sombre tune...
I was very very impressed with her Super Bowl show....she included Telephone from THE FAME MONSTER...interesting fun tune...I did not hear any tunes from ARTPOP;i.e. Applause

While in B.C. the band, 54-40, had seven guitars stolen. Five have been recovered. More info is on their Facebook page. Let's hope the other two guitars are found safe & sound.
