  1. I had already said it was very hard for me to decide anything because both actors are one of the greatest of all and are in the same league but I had to say that just because of his role in Raging Bull. Like lzzoso said, him building up muscle and later gaining weight for the same film was amazing. I didn't say Robert De Niro is a better actor or that Al Pacino is not versatile. Al Pacino is actually as versatile as Robert De Niro and his transformations for example in films like The Godfather, Serpico, Scarface, Scent Of A Woman were simply amazing. Robert De Niro is just a bit, a little bit, more versatile just because of Raging Bull. And I forgot to say, Al Pacino has the edge over and is better than Robert De Niro in stage acting and plays. Can't you see I'm trying to tell you that I like and respect both actors equally.

  3. They're both legendary actors and definitely one of the greatest actors of all time. They've both portrayed one of the most interesting characters and starred in many good films. Not to mention they're one of my favourite actors. It is very hard to decide which actor is better and I can't vote. I can just say that in my opinion Robert De Niro is a bit more versatile and Al Pacino is a bit more entertaining.
  4. Beautiful country and interesting culture. I've never been to Ireland but I would really like to visit it one day.
  5. That sounds very cool. I wonder how amazing it must have looked.
  6. I've listened to her and some of her songs, I didn't say I had never listened to her or her songs. What I meant is that I don't generally listen to her. I hope this will clear this up.
  7. I like and listen to many other types of music. Rock music is definitely my favourite and I basically listen to the whole genre, I could also say this for classical music, while I just listen to certain artists in other types of music. I would name the ones I listen to the most. Led Zeppelin The Beatles Pink Floyd Deep Purple Black Sabbath King Crimson Queen Cream Eric Clapton The Jimi Hendrix Experience The Who The Rolling Stones The Kinks Uriah Heep Judas Priest Iron Maiden ZZ Top Alice Cooper Scorpions Hawkwind Mike Oldfield Yes Genesis Camel Van Der Graaf Generator Gong Supertramp Jethro Tull David Bowie Slade Sweet T. Rex The Animals Cat Stevens Sade Electric Light Orchestra Joy Division Tangerine Dream Brian Eno Aphex Twin The Bee Gees Abba Ludwig Van Beethoven Johann Sebastian Bach Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Richard Wagner Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky Frederic Chopin Antonio Vivaldi Johannes Brahms Joseph Haydn Franz Liszt Georg Friedrich Handel Franz Schubert Gustav Holst Edward Elgar Sergei Rachmaninoff Camille Saint-Saens Maurice Ravel Claude Debussy And many other.
  8. RIP Amy Winehouse. I don't listen to her but she has some good songs.
  9. Daft Punk. Good pick. I deliberately left out Daft Punk because I thought I would be the only one who likes them. I would also add Jean Michel Jarre to my list.
  10. Language Fashion Culture Literature Music Art Jules Verne Albert Camus Victor Hugo Voltaire Alexandre Dumas Stendhal Moliere Honore De Balzac Maurice Ravel Charles Baudelaire Georges Bizet Hector Berlioz Camille Saint-Saens Gabriel Faure Claude Debussy Jean-Baptiste Lully Gerard Depardieu Jean Reno Vincent Cassel Alain Delon Jean Gabin Julie Delpy Isabelle Adjani Brigitte Bardot Audrey Tautou Francois Truffaut Jean Renoir Jean-Luc Godard Luc Besson Robert Bresson Crepe Hot air balloon Bicycle Parachute Sewing machine Helicopter And other contributions to the world.
  11. David Copperfield by Charles Dickens I'm reading this book for the second time. Great book and one of my favourite novels as well.
  12. Great film. One of the greatest war films and films in general.
  13. I like Dazed And Confused a lot. Good film. I was wondering myself if the film is accurate but I've read and heard it is very accurate, which is great. We've never had anything like that in high school, especially back in the 70s, except drinking, occasionaly smoking weed and few other things but music was always there. Everything in the film is great, the music, clothes, atmoshphere, etc and many cool and interesting characters. I always enjoy watching it.
  14. I've just finished reading Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf and Pride And Prejudice by Jane Austen. I'm not a big fan of books like this but it was in my syllabus so I had to read it. They are actually good, I liked them.
  15. Yes, that was a great quote. At first I thought that it was all in Spicoli's head when Mr. Hand came to his house. And I totally forgot about "I don't know".
  16. I totally agree with you two. Hollywood is all about money and commercialism and I'm really getting sick of it but I have to say that there are still some pretty good films. The cast and the crew are good so it might not turn out to be so bad.
  17. Good film. I really like Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Anything that Jeff Spicoli says in the film is funny and he is also my favourite character. The quote with Led Zeppelin in it was really good and surprising but my favourites are Spicoli's quotes like: "Aloha Mr. Hand", "Those guys are fags!", "Something must have happened to them.", "Hey Bud, let's party", "Awesome! Totally awesome! All right Hamilton!", etc.
  18. That's interesting. I dress often in all black. That's just because I like it but I have to admit too that it's also because of music influence, mostly Black Sabbath. Some people even thought that I might be a goth, but though I kinda like gothic fashion, it isn't and I am not. It is just a classic black clothing. And yes, though my clothing mostly consists of darker colours, I wear birght clothes too. I'm sorry for your lossess too. I just couldn't go without saying.
  19. I like all colours but my favourite is green. It's been favourite all my life. The other colours I like a lot are red, blue, black, white, yellow, etc.

    Theatre

I love theatre and I'm a big fan. I've never seen any world famous play, just the ones that have been performed at my local theatre or inside my country. I have been going to theatre since my early age but sadly nowadays we don't have them performed in my town so often. I will definitely go to a theatre when I go to some bigger country.
  21. Not a big fan of musicals but there are some very good ones. My favourites are The Wizard Of Oz, Singin' In The Rain, Beauty And The Beast, Chicago, Hair, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Moulin Rouge! and perhaps few more.
  22. I totally agree with you. It's sad how Twilight has become almost like a synonym for a vampire film among this modern generations because it is not actually a vampire film. I'm not trying to attack the film or the novel and to offend Twilight fans. We all know it is specifically targeted to young-adult horror-romance fans. I agree with your choice. Nosferatu the Vampyre is very good vampire film and one of the best but I think the original Nosferatu is the greatest of all vampire films. Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola is one of my favourite vampire films, and the original film is good too. The other vampire films I like are From Dusk Till Dawn, Horror Of Dracula, Black Sunday, Martin, Fright Night, Near Dark, etc. And by the way, the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker is great. Definitely the one that started it all.
  23. It sounds pretty good. I'm looking forward to this film. I've seen the original film and liked it a lot. I think it was one of the best films of that year.
  24. I have found this in trivia section on IMDb and only Pink Floyd is mentioned. "Funds earned by Pink Floyd's album "The Dark Side of the Moon" went towards funding The Holy Grail. The band were such fans of the show they would halt recording sessions just to watch "Monty Python's Flying Circus" (1969)."
