  1. Krauss confirmed in an article in Variety that it would happen, "rather soon, after the fall gigs." That means it will probably be a second quarter release in 2009, with promotional duties to follow and probably another tour.
  2. Radiohead is another nominee along with a bunch of other bands I've never heard.
  3. If Jimmy proceeds with Coverdale, would you go see it?
  4. Time to move on. Jimmy should get on the road/studio as a solo artist. http://www.torontosun.com/Entertainment/Mu...160451-sun.html
  5. North Carolina Observer Plant on Zeppelin: “I wouldn’t subscribe to that,” he says wearily. “You know, I work and work and work and work and work, and I have good intentions. And sometimes, it’s very simple, the way the media will manipulate an idea or a story. In the end, a lot of artists are moved into spaces they do not need to go by the force of others’ opinions. Every dog has his day. I had a wonderful time with the guys in December. But right now, this is what I’m doing, and it’s spectacular and a joy. In my time and my career, joy is the greatest commodity that I have.” Plant

  7. And yet you post about how the tour is failure due to the size of the venues. Might want to do something about that split personality disorder.
  8. Where has it not been selling to capacity?
  9. Why don't you just say that you hate Alison Krauss and hope Robert never works with her again so he can concentrate on a Zeppelin tour? The arguement about live attendance is not valid. Again, they booked 5K places and they are playing to 5K places. That is the size audience that they expected to draw. If that is a failure in your eyes, fine. The Wiggles are playing to more people, so aren't the Spice Girls and Hannah Montana. In your world, the only successful artists are the ones that play to over 15k a night and ticket sales are more important than substance. While you are shelling ou
  10. You obviously skipped economics 101. So, let me get this straight. They book mid-sized to small theatres with capacities of around 4K-6K (supply)and they average around 5K per night (demand). Would that not be meeting demand, or close to it? Am I missing something? As far as JC Penny commericial, I could care less. The album is great, and I don't think you can question their intentions. And, am I'm not mistaken, or has Raising Sand sold over 1 million copies in the US?
  11. Thanks . Did anyone think that a Plant/Krauss collaboration would be playing arenas? No. So where were they booked? 3K-5K seaters. Is that a failure? No. That is the size of the projected audience for a bluegrass collaboration. So why are people bitching that it is beneath Robert? It's not like they're playing stadiums and only 5K are showing up. Dazed and Confused fanbase on here. It's not the size of the audience for the Who and Stones, it's the going through the motions performances while charging an obscene amount of money to the audience. It is not about music, it is about
  12. The Golden God has been playing in a few thousand seat theatres in the US as a solo artist since the Fate of Nations tour. At one point, he was reduced to an opening act for the Who and Lenny Kravitz. He also played pubs with Priory of Brion. Plant/Krauss are averaging 5K per night on this tour, which is were they were booked; midsized arenas. Get over it. And anyone who has been enjoying the past cash grabs by the Who and Stones has shit in their ears. Horrid, greedy old fucks. I hope Robert doesn't join the club.
  13. I haven't heard any dates yet outside of MO, TX and CA.
  14. Nugent is a piece of shit and part of the reason why other countries hate America. I hope he gets stomped by a Rhino.
  15. I think Robert has been on a solo career-high as of late. Mighty Rearranger, Dreamland and even back to Fate of Nations have all been top notch. Add Raising Sand to the list. I would like to see him continue on this run. That being said, the prospect of a Zeppelin tour is overwhelming. Especially for someone who never had the opportunity to see them in concert. I do view the Zeppelin tour as a disappointment before it's even started, though. Robert has made it clear that he isn't going to do a year-long stadium tour. So what we will be looking at, if anything, is a few months wort
