  1. Hope you get some good sleep, relaxation and family time Strider.

As an extra note to your wonderful beach story and seeing as you're going to be in holiday mode at your brother's place, which is near a lake, try this wonderful experience.

Find a quiet little timber jetty/pier that is going out over the water.

    Something like this ....... Fishing-Jetty-Mannum-420x0.jpg

Around sunset, or even dark, walk right out as far as you can (by yourself and with no other people around). Hang onto a railing if you can and stand there for a few minutes, clear your head, look around you, take in everything you see. Then close your eyes and breathe in deeply, smell the water, hear the ripples, hear the fish breaking the surface, feel the breeze on your face, the wind blowing against your skin.

Keep your eyes closed and feel, breathe and hear everything around you. If you're completely relaxed and your senses are open and in synch, you'll feel like you're standing, floating on top of that lake .......... you'll feel yourself gently swaying with the movement of the ripples, like you're out in the middle of the water.

    It's an incredible feeling.

  2. Ms Parker, like everyone here has already said, it's been an absolute thrill having you come to us and acknowledge and talk about your association with this band we all seem to be obsessed with.

Thank you for sharing and letting us get to know the real you a little. It's been a genuine pleasure.

  3. just got an email telling me that the jason bonham led zeppelin experience concert that i had tickets to is cancelled. not postponed, cancelled. i am really upset right now ... :boohoo::depressed::thumbdown::(

Sorry to hear that Slave, although I suppose it wasn't unexpected after the cancellation of the other 2 concerts. What makes it even worse, is you've probably already booked and prepaid for accommodation, which might be non refundable .... plus the weekend was going to be a special anniversary treat for you and your husband.

  4. However, even within the darkest cloud, a silver lining often lurks...and my silver lining was a nice little baggie of skunk, which my client gave me as a thank-you. So, a totally wasted day after all, lol

I was thinking ...... wtf .... why would you be excited about a bag of stinky skunk?!! .... but then it dawned on me :lol:

I lost an old mate to pancreatic cancer today.

  5. I bought flights and hotel accomodation to the Melbourne concert from Toowoomba. But no refunds, apart from the concert ticket

That was why I hesitated buying tickets to the Sydney show. I have $150 worth of petrol, another $150 - $200 for a hotel room, plus meals, munchies etc for 2 days travelling and also overnight pet boarding of around $50. So every time I go to a concert in Sydney, i'm always looking at around $500 for one overnight stay and thats before I even pay for the tickets, plus a 6 hour drive up and then back again.

  6. I was supposed to have an operation shortly, but the almighty powerful dickheads at the hospital admin decided to deter and put me on a waiting list, even though my surgeon wants it done soon ....... ggrrrrrrrrr

I also had to do my daughter's (Veghead) annual tax. It wasn't too involved or difficult, but it always ends up having some sort of pain in the bum, time consuming problem.
