  2. I will see Rush in concert 3 days before you in Dallas, Texas. I have lawn seats, however, for the last two shows I have seen at the Dallas 'SuperPages' amphitheater (AeroSmith and Def Leppard), I "bribed" an usher ($10) to let me and my brother sit in one of the empty seats in the last rows of the seating area. Once the usher wasn't looking we moved to seats that were about right smack in the middle of the seating area. I can't say what row we ended up in, however, it sure as hell beat the lawn "seats" we had at the beginning of both of those shows. I plan to do the same thing for the Rush concert, but I think I may have to Up the bribe to $20. Anyway, Rush is probably my second favorite band of All-Time so I KNOW that I am destined to have a Fucking Great and Awesome time.
  3. You are gonna tell me and everyone else on this forum that you would not like to meet Jimmy Page? You just said, "No I wouldn't" If what you say is true, I would say that you are in the very small minority of people who would not Love to meet a True and Mighty Living Legend. Mr. James Patrick Page. If you read my first post, I said that this is mostly "hypothetical". Where in any of my posts or the other peoples replies do you get that any of Us would "accost" (as in confront boldy) Jimmy Page about asking him one question even if that question was asking him for his phone number (which we all know he would not divulge). Hypothetical, remember? If I ever was in the "Presence" of Jimmy Page I would never "accost" him as you seem to believe, however, I know that I would be in complete "awe" and "admiration". Two very different reactions. For the record, I do not consider Jimmy Page a celebrity. I consider him (again) a Living Legend. A True Living Legend.
  4. Actually, I think that your reply is a Good one. Everyone on this Great forum would Love to meet Jimmy Page, become "Friends" with him and get his personal cell phone or private phone number and call Him up anytime just to talk and chat about whatever comes up. We all know that Jimmy is one of the most intelligent and fascinating Persons on the planet Earth. How Great would it be to say to all your friends and anybody else, "Hey, Jimmy Page is a personal Friend of Mine. Don't believe me, well let me just give Him a ring and I will introduce you to Him". Classic and Priceless.
  5. I thought that I would propose this question. Most of this is hypothetical (however, I am sure that some people have actually met Jimmy), what would be the one question You would ask Jimmy Page if You had the very fortunate chance to meet him? I realize that this is a very hard question to answer (and ask). It could be any question about Led Zeppelin or Related or UnRelated. Believe it or not, the question I would ask Jimmy Page is: Have you ever met Robert De Niro or Al Pacino or any other famous Hollywood actors (or actresses) and what do you think of their movies or talents as great and accomplished actors? The reason I would ask Jimmy this question about Mr. De Niro or Mr. Pacino is because I personally hold them in the same League as Jimmy Page when it comes to being the Greatest and Best at what they do for a living. I am sure there are hundreds of other Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin fans throughout the world who would completely agree with this statement. So, if You happen to meet the Master, what would be the first question that You would ask HIM?
  6. JBLZE in DFWTX., on 11/18/2010. I WILL BE THERE!!! Just waiting for the TIX to go on sale. (By the way, of course that means JASONBONHAMLEDZEPPELINEXPERIENCE in DALLASFORTWORTHTEXAS).
  7. I realize that seats and capacity are two different things. That is why I would question the actual attendance for this Led Zeppelin concert at the Pontiac Silverdome. If 76,229 people actually paid for their tickets, then, like I said, there is a Great possiblity that a few more thousand LZ fans made it into this venue (paid or otherwise) on this record-breaking "Evening" with Led Zeppelin. However, I do believe that the "official" figure for the attendance of this gig was 76,229. If I happen to be incorrect, I welcome any and all evidence to the contrary.
  8. I saw Jason Bonham a couple of nights ago on the late night FOX news channel show "Red Eye". His brief interview was about 5 or so minutes long. He said that he was doing 30 shows in 30 days. The number 30 being very significant because 2010 marks the 30th anniversary of the death of his Father (RIP JOHN HENRY 'BONZO' BONHAM). The host asked him who else was playing in what Jason Bonham called the "Jason Bonham Led Zeppelin Experience" (jblze.com). He said that he was not revealing names yet and that he was keeping it close to his vest (cheast?). Right after I saw this I went to the jblze.com site and under the "tour" tab it says that "Official tour dates will be released Monday, August 16th". Only a few days from today. I just saw Robert Plant on July 23, 2010 in Dallas, Texas and I am sure that I will see Jason Bonham sometime in the next month or so somewhere in Dallas. I happened to have seen the Jason Bonham band play a very small bar in Illinios, just across the Mississippi river from St. Louis about 10 years ago. I was literally up front (there were no seats) and I was buying Budwiesers and giving Marlboros to the guitarist Ian Hatton. From what I remember there were no more than 100 - 150 people at this gig. Anyway, back to the topic at hand, I am ready to see the Jason Bonham Led Zeppelin Experience no matter what the price or the musicians involved. Anything that is Led Zeppelin or Related is always Good enough for me and That satisfies my interest.
  9. I always read that the "official" attendance at this record-breaking concert was 76,229. Not 77,229. I am pretty sure that 76,229 is correct becuase I have that number etched into my brain since I first read about this concert more than 20 years ago. 76,229 is the official number but who knows how many other people managed to obtain entry to this concert. I do not know the exact number of seats the Pontiac Silverdome actually held, but I would not be surprised if the figure was not higher than the official count. Probably or possibly over 80,000?
  10. Hello to Everyone who has ever contributed to this topic and all of You who have read and seen all the Great Led Zeppelin or Related Videos on YouTube. I hope that this is only a problem with my computer, but it seems to me that most (if not All) of the video posts to this topic have either been deleted of wiped out by someone for some reason. On my end, all the video posts have been "X" out and not available to see. I really hope I am incorrect or that there may be a glitch on my computer only. The reason I would be Upset if this is true for everyone else is because I happen to think that this is and was one (if not the) Best Topics ever created for this website. Of course I say that with all the Pride and Joy because I am the one who started this topic. If I had never started this topic then I know that I would never have seen or heard the most of the "Mighty Led Zeppelin" or Related videos that are out there on YouTube and other various sites. As of this minute, there has been 754 replies and 18,853 views with 38 pages filled with (of course) Led Zeppelin and Related on YouTube songs and videos. I would consider it a personal defeat if all that hard work from Everyone who contributed to this topic and posted videos and songs, etc... was erased or deleted forever. If there is some way the Higher Ups on this website could restore all the hard and challenging work that so many people have put into this topic could be restored, I, and thousands more would be very gratefull and appreciative. I think a topic such as this definately benefits thousands and thousands of Led Zeppelin (and Related) fans.

    Bier

I know that I cannot be the only to say and drink the United States (and the Worlds Number One selling Beer). No introductions necessary: BUDWEISER. Anheuser-Busch. St. Louis, Missouri (and Houston, Texas too). "This is the famous Budweiser beer. We know of no brand produced by any other brewer which costs so much to brew and age. Our exclusive Beechwood Aging produces a taste, a smoothness and a drinkability you will find in no other beer at any price". I sometimes like to consider Myself a Sophisticate (which may sound snobby, but I really am not), when it comes to beer, I am old-school. Budweiser. The King of Beers.
  12. I know that alot of US Led Zeppelin fans are also fans of other Great and Classic Rock and Roll Artists. RUSH has to be One of them (at least for me). I just purchased two tickets for me and my brother to see Rush on Sunday, September 26, 2010. Only $35 for two lawn tickets (no service charge). The last time we went to a concert was for Def Leppard and Aerosmith (2009). SuperPages.com near downtown Dallas, Texas. My point is that for both gigs, we had lawn tickets. I "bribed" one of the ushers to let us sit in some of the empty seats under the pavilion for both concerts. Once we were in the "seating" area we both made our way as close to the front as possible. I have some good videos from both concerts on my phone (too bad I do not know how to transfer those camera videos to YouTube videos). Anyway, RUSH is one of my Top 5 favorite bands of All-Time. Possibly my Second or Third favorite Group. Anyone else ready and waiting to see RUSH this summer.
  13. Hello All!!!. I would again like to say "Thank You" to everyone who has contributed any and all songs and videos about and to this Topic that I started just about 1 year: Led Zeppelin and Related. My initial point (post) was for us to Hear and Share all Songs that are Out there on YouTube that has any relation(s) to the Music of Led Zeppelin (and Related). I consider it to be some what of an "Honor" that this Topic has been seen by more that 16,500 people and has had more than 700 replies/posts. More than 16,500 views and over 700 Led Zeppelin and Related songs/videos/interviews/etc.. This actually makes me very Proud and Grateful that I consider Myself to one of the Biggest Led Zeppelin Fans out there, anywhere on this Planet.
  14. Here is a "Mystery" to me that SteveAJones made in this forum under the Zep Polls section that asked "How Many Zeppelin Books do you have"? This SteveAJones replyed and I quote, "119...but there are others I'm still seeking". You made this BOLD comment on December 31, 2009. Here is the Mystery. If you have 119 Books on or about Led Zeppelin I think (and I am sure alot of others) would like you to list the Titles of at least 59 of the Led Zeppelin Books you claim to own or have in your possesion. 59 is less than Half (1/2) the books you say you have on Led Zeppelin. 59 is less than 119. Remember, the topic is BOOKS (not magazine covers/articles/interviews, newspaper clippings, comics, etc..) Again, the real mystery is how can you claim to have 119 "Books" about Led Zeppelin when I do not think that you could (or would) care to name just half of these Titles and their Authors. 59 Led Zeppelin Book Titles is all I (we) ask.
  15. I do not think that anybody is "trying to tie this band in with some kind of devil conspiracy". I only hear what I think I hear (and I could be Right or I could be Wrong). Let me ask you this: is it not written or known that Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin had or was connected to some kind of "Satanic" or "Occult" overtones? Mainly by Jimmy Page himself? I am not saying that any of this is accurate or correct, but I know that I am not the first and only one to read anything of the sort and say that Led Zeppelin were/are Devil Worshippers. I believe even the most novice Zeppelin fan has heard or read something of this ilk. Let me go on Record and say that even if Jimmy Page and the rest of Led Zeppelin were/are "Satanists" then or now, I could really care less what these Great Musicians personally believed in, Religous or Otherwise. All I care about is the Great and Fabulous Music that they have provided me for the past 25+ years. Like I have said more than once before, Led Zeppelin's Music has and will always be Loved by future generations to come. 100 years from now, Led Zeppelin will be more Popular than it is at this moment in History. 2010 - 2110. Just like Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Wagner is considered "Classical" today, Led Zeppelin's music will be considered the same 100 and 200 years from now. "LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY LED ZEPPELIN"...
  16. This is my second reply to this topic. My first one was #7. Read that one to see what I think. However, I must reply again once more. I have had TSRTS on VHS tape since it was first released in the early to mid 1980's. (And then the first DVD copy and more recently the Re-Mastered DVD copy that came out in 2007 and not to mention both the original CD and the Re-Mastered CD). All in all, I have probably heard this version of "Dazed and Confused" over 1000 times and have never once heard Robert sing "Gentle People". Even then I heard Robert sing "You're Gonna Meet a lot of Devil People there... Everywhere, Everywhere, Everywhere"...(Robert does a Cool Cocky Strut, Jimmy Arches back and Plays those Cool notes on his Les Paul and then Robert sings) "I Know, I Know, I Know, I Know, Ooohh , Ooohh"... Again, I say, in my ears, I do not and cannot even hear the slightest words of "Gentle People" being sung by Mr. Plant. I am in no way arguing with those that claim they hear "Gentle People" but all I say is put on some headphones and listen to this line more than once and really think about what You hear. For the record, I do not think that it is even relevant what line Robert sings in this song. Just the fact that it is up for debate and speculative makes this song even more Interesting.
  17. I also hear "devil people" sung by Robert during this part of "Dazed and Confused". I always thought Robert sang this line in "San Francisco" because from what I have read, back in the 1960's and I would assume to this day, the city of San Francisco is/was a city with a large Satanic population. Not to mention hippies, junkies and bikers. I also believe that Satanist Anton LeVay and his Church of Satan was located somewhere in San Francisco, possibly on California Street (hence the name Hotel California, the album by the Eagles). Of course this is just speculation on my part. However, I do read alot and yes, sometimes, I do believe what I read.
  18. For those of you who may notice, I realize I am replying to my first original post. However, I am currently listening to "Manic Nirvana" and I have to say that I think It may be Robert Plant's Best Solo Album. Not as "commercial" and "popular" as "Now and Zen" but I think that every song on "Manic "Nirvana" are all great in their own right. As I mentioned above, I honestly think that "Big Love" and (especially) "I Cried" are two of Robert Plant's greatest Post Led Zeppelin achievements.
  19. I have seen this episode of the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" a few times in the past (although I cannot remember what the Fresh Prince (Will Smith) says exactly), I do remember that Jeffrey the Butler says, "I was Led Zeppelin's Road Butler". Not Road Manager, but Road Butler. Makes sense because he is a still a Butler himself. Obviously the writers of this show wrote that line for Jeffery to say, but I always wondered if Will Smith himself was a fan of Led Zeppelin or if he was really aware of who LZ were. Remember this episode was filmed back in the early to mid 1990's and way before Will Smith became a Huge Superstar. I would like to think that He is probably a fan of LZ now more than 15 years after that episode came out. Who knows?
  20. As some of you know, my profile name is "lzzoso". I would like to think that the origin of my "name" is fairly obvious. If not, than let me make it clear. Led Zeppelin Zoso Anyway, when I lived in St. Louis, Missouri (during most of the 1990's), that is what I had for my license plate. However, it was in all Capital letter, LZ-ZOSO. I currently live in Plano, Texas, (a great city north of Dallas proper), and I still have my Missouri LZ-ZOSO license plate proudly displayed in my room. Back to the topic at issue, I do not consider myself to have to have a label or tag associated with me because I Love Led Zeppelin and am a Huge LZ fan. I think someone mentioned this in an earlier post. I am paraphrasing but I think it may have been something like, "How about just a Led Zeppelin fan" or something to that great effect. Although in my case it could be "How about just a Led Zeppelin fan" who has nearly devoted over 25 years of My life to a Band of Awesome Musicians that were only together for just about 12 years. Anyway, I am Proud to say that Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page has affected my Life in the most Positive ways that is possible (and I know for a fact that I am not the only one who feels this way).
  21. I must say that I am VERY Happy and VERY Pleased that I started this Topic almost one year ago. As of this moment this topic has received 536 responses. The great thing about it is that most of the responses are video links of "Led Zeppelin or Relaated" via YouTube. I have seen and heard so many "Great" and "Rare" Led Zeppelin (and Related) material that it seems (and is) almost beyond comprehension. I would personally like to thank "Deborah J" (we obviously know who You are). I would like to say to you "Deborah J" that I hope you do your "Magic" and download everything that you can to keep this Topic up-to-date. You have done such a great job so far, I say, keep them coming. We can all use and learn more of the history of the "mighty Led Zeppelin" when it comes to what you have managed to provide. One last note, I would like to appreciate and acknowledge, Sam the Webmaster, for replying to one of my Topics insteaed of "banning" it because it may have been to "controversial". Again, lastly, I think this is one of the "Best" topics ever created because it seems to show that there is so much that Led Zeppelin or Related has produced or created to keep the "Song Remains the Same"...

    Comedians

I still have not figured out how to post an actual video (I plan on doing so real soon), two of my favorite comedians of all-time are two of the classics and I am sure alot of peoples favorites: RICHARD PRYOR JOHN BELUSHI
  23. I,too, have seen Jimmy Page do these things that do not seem to pleasant to watch, and I would have to conclude that they probably have something to do with some sort of heavy drug use (my opinion). I know some things about Cocaine use, but nothing of Heroin. I think that if someone does alot of Cocaine, it would tend to get their mouth pretty dry, unless they are drinking lots of beer of eating lots of Pussy. And I am sure that JP is very familiar with both. However, even drinking lots of beer while "wired" up is kinda hard to do. Regardless, Jimmy Page is the GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL GUITAR PLAYER OF ALL-TIME, so I am sure he can combine whatever (if any) drugs he has taken or is on during each and all of his performances, that, no matter what, the "Song Remains the Same". JIMMY PAGE is a living legend, and none of us should ever doubt or ever forget that.
  24. I think that Ted Nugent was (is) jealous of Jimmy Page and his and Led Zeppelin's success (and heavy influence). We all know that Led Zeppelin pretty much dominated the decade of the 1970's. Ted had a pretty good run during the mid to late '70's also. However, I sort of remember watching a "Behind the Music" or something like that on Ted Nugent and hearing that Ted got royally screwed out of his royalties by his own managers, accountants and lawyers. From what I remember seeing on that show was those close to him embezzeled millions of dollars from him and got away with it. The reason I bring this up is because, whatever "state" Jimmy Page was in during this point in time (late 1970's), at least Jimmy never let anybody take advantage of him from a financial point of view (thanks to people like Peter Grant). If Ted Nugent claims to have never taken a drug or drink ever, than I think he must not be too smart or "business savvy" to let his own people to take advantage and rip him off like "his" people did.
  25. This is my opinion on this very debatle topic: (and I will try and make it fairly brief). Led Zeppelin is the more "legendary" and "influential" rock and roll band. That seems to speak for itself (myself). AC/DC ranks up there in popularity and fan dedication, but (in my opinion) no where near the level that Led Zeppelin achieved. I do believe that AC/DC is one of the best of the hundreds of rock and roll bands that is a product of the "influence" that Led Zeppelin began (Rush being another great band that LZ influenced). They and a few others that followed in the shadow of the "mighty Led Zeppelin" actually made a heavy impact on Rock and Roll history. I have read in numerous articles that say that Angus Young and the rest of AC/DC were heavily influenced by the music of Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin. I do believe that Angus and Malcom Young were witnesses to Led Zeppelin when LZ toured Australia in 1972 (of course I was not there, but this comes from the man, Angus Young himself). Any questions?
