  1. Despite liner notes on Led Zeppelin II saying that The Lemon Song and Moby Dick were recorded at Mirror Sound in Los Angeles with engineer Chris Huston and Jimmy Page mentioning Mirror Sound in his pictorial autobiography, I've never found any other/real evidence of its existence. Many sources have said that Chris Huston was the house engineer and co-managing partner at Mystic Sound Studios. I've also found advertisements in early 1970s Billboard magazine for Mystic, but no Mirror. Any thoughts?

  3. He looked a lot rough in the video. I'd be willing to bet that he isn't as clean as he claimed. He does need need to find some of that faith that he sang about for so many years and move forward.

  5. The other Jimmy Page was also at O2... http://www.tpimagazine.com/production-profiles/8623/led_zeppelin_the_ahmet_ertegun_tribute.html

  7. Amazingly, the answer was contained within the last 10 posts.
  8. Guitars were doubletracked in octaves on the studio track and on the O2 version, Page used the Digitech WH-1 Whammy pedal.
  9. There is an extensive article in TBL 32 about the where and when the first rehearsal took place. In conclusion, neither questions were truly answered although it's pretty close. Seek the issue out. The idea that the Dominique Tarle was taken at the first rehearsal was first reported on p. 12-13 of the Q Classic issue of Led Zeppelin: Classic, Rare & Unseen (Volume 1, Issue 9), which came out in 2005.
  10. Dominic Tarlé had said the the elevator picture was taken at Zeppelin's first rehearsal. I tend to doubt that.

  14. True, true. Jones did have a lackadaisical look on his face during the performance.
  15. I figured that the backstage chatter with Jones waving his fingers at Page was just because the cameras were rolling and just "for show". I know Messieurs Page, Plant & Jones can improv like the best of them and the whole thing truly felt like a jam. I know I was left a little disappointed with the whole experience. Out of 7 song snippets that they played, only 2 were Zep songs and WTLB
  16. Steve, are you aware of any rehearsals with Plant, Page, Jones & friends before their RARHOF performance from January 1995?

  18. Are there any pictures of Jimmy Page performing at the jam at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony in 1992 when the Yardbirds were inducted?
  19. IMO, that's a gorgeous house and property, despite the pictures being 27 years old. The worst thing that could be done is to "modernize it".
  20. I listened to a radio station today, uh, you know we had to finish off, go half-way through the concert last night, Jimmy was totally ill. A man in this radio station, who I'll call, The Loop. Yeah? This radio ... for a long time, insinuating that Mr. Page had been drinking a greek, alcoholic substance all day. And it's fair to say that Mr. Page neither smokes, drinks, takes women or does anything like that, so we'd like an apology from The Loop tomorrow, and another crate, and another crate of the same alcohol, please. -Robert Plant, April 10, 1977, after Ten Years Gone
