  1. Hey guys, i think Atlanta 1977 may be one of the best ever 1977 shows (at least caught on tape). Shame the quality is so awful, but the versions of No Quarter (one of my favourite ever versions), Achilles Last Stand and Stairway To Heaven are among some of the best on the tour! Notice how wonderful is Plant's intro to Ten Years Gone, pontuacted by so melancholic guitar chords by Page.."it's always best to be in love with everybody, but this is about the first time you ever knew it would happen to you"..it makes me cry, really! What do you guys think about? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxO3GFqIqCE
  2. All-female Led Zeppelin tribute band 'Lez Zeppelin' played at The Garage in Islington last night. Jimmy Page turned up to watch them play, and stuck around afterwards to meet some of the other bands there that night.
  3. Yesterday I was in a shop cause I was looking for TSRTS. I found a Led Zeppelin DVD called "The Led Zeppelin in concert". I couldn't buy it because i spent my money for TSRTS, and the only thing I remember is that SIBLY was 12 minutes long and Heartbreaker was 2 minutes long. I think it was form '72-'73, but I'm not really sure. What can you tell me about that DVD? Is it rare? Have you ever seen it? What concert is that? Tell me EVERYTHING you know! 4. What do you think is Led Zeppelin's best rendition of a song. My personal opinion is this:
  5. Of the two Knebworth performances which was better? Also, which performance was on the Led Zeppelin DVD.
  6. Which concert in your opinion was better: Earls Court May 24th or May 25th?
  7. Can anyone please give me some tips or a how-to for playing Zep's version of 'Hello Mary Lou' featured in the WLL medley on HTWWW? My band has dabbled with a very bland version of the original but I am dying to inject some Zep into the song. I have worked out one small riff from the solo and know that the song follows a basic E-A-B progression but obviously it's not that simple with the master Jimmy Page playing. There is one of someone playing it but he is standing in the dark so I can't really get a good look at how he does it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. How many people here have already pre-ordered the concert DVD? And which set (since there's so many to choose from) are you ordering? I am beyond excited for this, and can't wait for it to land on my doorstep come November 19th! I ordered the 'Deluxe Edition 2 CD, 1 Blu-Ray, 1 DVD' version. I am looking forward to seeing how the show looks in Blu-Ray. November 19th can't get here fast enough. Well, same with October 17th too.
