  1. Hi, I have used this time while in lockdown to feed my love of everything Led Zeppelin. Thought some of you may enjoy some of these collaborations I have completed while in lockdown with fellow musicians from around the world. We also have more to come so if you would like to subscribe to my channel please do. kind regards
  2. *****NOTE: I am new to this forum; I am NOT new to anything Led Zeppelin. Please, I ask you to ignore the first part of that sentence, and consider the second. Appreciated. ****** ***The Song Remains the Same Complete Re-EDIT On Way! *** [Note]: Individual evaluation only, not a means of piracy; this will NOT be distributed in any such way; again, my individual evaluations I've always preferred original TSRTS footage, be it a bootleg or 8mm. However, the actual viewing experience is rather limited by the subpar quality even terrible for 1970's cinematics. Honestly, the "film" portion
  3. Why John Paul Jones Won't Do Any More Solo Albums MARTIN KIELTY l September 6, 2019 John Paul Jones was in a positive state of mind when he announced his debut album, Zooma. Released in 1999, the former Led Zeppelin member hoped his instrumental LP would lead to a return to major-league touring and also to further studio projects. And while it did, it wasn't a direct route, and he never got over the disappointment he encountered on the road. "No, no, no, I can't be arsed," he said in 2018 after being asked about further solo projects. "We toured the world, sold out sho
  4. Post any interviews with Jimmy Page on the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Led Zeppelin here, thanks.
  5. Working on an anniversary piece on 'Walking Into Clarksdale' (jouro here_ and came across a really interesting exchange. Dean Goodman talked to Page & Plant in a dual interview and posed the question: "I UNDERSTAND YOU APPROACHED JOHN PAUL JONES THIS TIME, BUT HE TURNED YOU DOWN?" (caps his, not mine) Robert and Jimmy did their typical evasive attempt at humor to deflect the conversation, with the former basically saying nobody would be interested either way, Regardless, I'm curious, because I've never heard that Jonesy was even in the conversation at the time. It would have been incr
  6. Does anyone know where I can find the original photo used in this single release cover from the Montreux show on August 7th, 1971: I've looked everywhere but the closest I can find is this one: A link would be much appreciated!!
  7. Hello all, I will be visiting the United Kingdom this May. I want to take advantage of the trip and find places to visit that have significance in relation to Led Zeppelin. Whether it be venues they have played, places they have lived, or museums. Please let me know!
  8. I am thinning my collection of autographed guitars (moving to smaller home) and unfortunately for me am getting rid of a Fender P-Bass that was hand signed by John Paul Jones. You can see it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/172200305316?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Please get in touch with any questions.
  9. Hi all, first post! I've noticed that Robert Plant has made a drawing to support The Big Draw charity. It got me wondering, what other artwork has been created personally by the band? So thought it might be fun if everyone shared their pictures of Led Zeppelin artwork, or examples of any other art the band made outside music. By the way the bidding on the Robert Plant drawing is only at £100 at the moment, so it might be a good opportunity for any passionate Zep fans! What do you think is the story behind this drawing?
  10. In between composition spells what with an opera and yet-to-surface projects such as the one with Finnish cellist Anssi Karttunen (among others, I'd bet), John Paul Jones took part in the Todos Santos Music Festival in Mexico on January 16, 2016. When the winter winds blow, rock gods head for the sun. http://todossantosmusicfestival.com/ This is a benefit concert for the Palapa Society of Todos Santos, A.C. http://todossantosmusicfestival.com/blog Palapa Society's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/palapasociety.org/ Here's some footage c
  11. So most of these have been posted already, but as they accumulate, I thought it would be good to have updates and news about initiatives that the Zep lads support all organized in one place. First up is Jimmy's patronage of the wonderful Outside Edge Theatre Company. An amazing and important arts outlet: “Outside Edge produces artistically excellent work that challenges and entertains audiences at the same time as making a real difference. Edge’s work with addicts – and the ways in which their performances awaken audiences and provoke debate – is quite simply stunning.” —Jimmy Page, company p
  12. Their online store just opened up again in like forever, and both Queens of the Stone Age and the Vultures Facebook page shared it. Seems kind of weird to do that when the band has been dead for almost 5 years now. Maybe something is brewing, they're gauging their audience and maybe going to work on some new music? Though it was very interesting nonetheless. https://www.facebook.com/QOTSA/posts/10153241279597806?comment_tracking=%7B%22tn%22%3A%22O%22%7D

So the riffs at 26 seconds in and 33 seconds for example are Page? If anyone repsonds, please feel free to send link to your source..
  16. This would be exceptionally hard to live down... Apparently, guy gets backstage passes to TCV show, then passes out - just in time for JPJ and Dave Grohl both to happen upon him unconscious and get photos with him passed out. http://www.1031thevulcan.com/pages/jasonmack.html?article=11937953#.UsRxTDKQk0Y.facebook

  20. Has ANYONE seen these kids??? They are mashing up Led Zeppelin songs in hopes they can get their generation to learn the true roots of music!! Simply by combing today's artists with Led Zeppelin! Have a look at these mashups! Right out of The Song Remains The Same Is there anyone who can get this to Jimmy, Robert or John Paul? The bands name is Giffords Lane
  21. On Monday 26th August, John Paul Jones led a talk at the Polar Music Awards in Sweden: Here are some of the most interesting quotes:

  23. American singer-songwriter Julie Felix will be celebrating her 75th birthday with a concert at London's Leicester Square Theatre, this Saturday, June 15. Some preliminary informations indicate than John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin may be attending, perhaps joining Ms. Felix on stage to play mandolin. "I will be singing quite a few songs on my own, but sharing the stage with me will be my good friend Madeline Bell of Blue Mink, "Jesus Christ Superstar" star Steve Balsamo and Rosalie Deighton from the Deighton family. As I mentioned before, The Avalonian Free State Choir from Glastonbury will
  24. Hi all, I've been getting into transcribing some of JPJ's solo stuff recently, the guy is my absolute hero on the bass and figured it was about time someone deciphered his solo stuff - so here's my interpretation on his groovy, improvised solo on 'Bass N Drums' taken from Zooma... figured this, a Zep forum, would be as good a place as any to share it! Planning on putting a few more up in the future too. Hope you enjoy and feel free to share it wherever if it does indeed tickle your fancy?! Check it out, let me know what ye reckons... Big love to JPJ. Cheers, S.
