  2. Hello there, I'm writing here because I'm looking for someone that owns Jas Obrect's book "Masters of Heavy Metal". I just need a simple information: since I'm working on a university thesis in philosophy (aesthetics) about heavy metal and I've found on the Robert Walser's "Running with the devil" a quote from Obrecht's book (Ozzy Osbourne talking about Randy Rhoads), I'm quoting Ozzy's words but I need to quote the bibliography. I've found everything about the book except one info: the pages of the essay about Randy Rhoads. If you've got the Quill 1984 edition, may I ask you to
  3. We're kind of a new band, but have plenty of experience between each of us. We're based out of Southampton, England and we're called Superdrone - our sound is stadium drone rock/blues, with a zeppelin-like attitude. These are 3 pro to-type tracks, if you will, until we're overall happy. I'm the drummer, btw! Would love any feedback, or suggestions. (First Three) SUPERDRONE: Enjoy!
  4. Hello. It has often been stated by historians and fans alike that Mr. Page only used his famous "Dragon" 1959 Rosewood Neck Telecaster, aided along with Sola Sound MKII Tonebender (modified with three OC81Ds by the legendary Roger Mayer) and a 1690T Surpo Corando Amplifier (modded from a 2x12 to a 1x12 by a roadie) for the FIRST 2 LED ZEPPELIN STUDIO ALBUMS. My ears do not agree with such statements. Page acquired a 1958 Gibson Les Paul from Joe Walsh during late April of 1969, since his "Dragon" Telecaster supposedly malfunctioned. So naturally, we would assume here that: "Case closed: Page

  7. Just finished reading Barney Hoskins' oral history of LZ and was left disappointed. Not enough on the CREATION of the music and perhaps too many unsubstantiated accounts of bad behavior, especially from John Bonham. It got me thinking: what would the LZ community here consider the BEST overall book on LZ? Thanks for sharing!
  8. Hello, I am trying to learn Key to the highway / Trouble in mind from the LZIII Companion Disc on guitar and vocals. I am still a newbie, so I can't pull it off by ear. Does anyone know the: - guitar tuning? I've read open G but I'm not sure. - chords (or tabs looks more like it) - lyrics? (I know the lyrics to the standard, but Robert throws in a few working ad libs for justice ("I eat my breakfast...") I'd greatly appreciate any help you guys and girls could offer! Thanks in advance. PS: Used the search function to no avail. If this has been already asked and answered, pl
