So far there are already a couple of gigs booked, and who knows how things develop, but here's to great (new?!) music being enjoyed by audiences wherever Robert plays whether solo or with the Sensational Space Shifters So there are the two dates at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow: January 31 and February 1, 2016 as part of a tribute to Bert Jansch. Proceeds go to the Bert Jansch Foundation. And in March, Robert and SSS will perform at the Okeechobee Festival in Florida (March 4, 5, 6, 2016). http://okeechobeefest.com/#aloompa-lineup -

First impressions from the concert last night... The sound quality and my view of the stage was not as good as the Houston show. The Shrine is a deceptively larger and more cavernous venue than its seating capacity (between 4,000-5,000) would suggest, and there were times when I felt the sound should have been louder...particularly Robert's vocals, which got buried in the mix on a couple occasions. The sound balance between the instruments was also off at times. So, sound quality-wise, Houston was better. Performance was still good, though...although again I think Houston was a notch above -

A friend phoned me a few minutes ago to tell me Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters have been secured as the headline act for the 2013 Byron Bay Bluesfest, to be held on 30th March next year. More details to follow.
