Documentary follows the exploits of the Ceremonies Team as they prepare to mount the eight-minute show to mark the official handover of responsibility for the Olympic Games from Beijing to London:

Philip Sheppard: "The show had to culminate in a well-known song, so,

together with co-producer Steve Robson, I recorded Jimmy Page and

Leona Lewis performing Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin together with

(the brilliant bass player) Guy Pratt and Geoff Dugmore (the most

civilised, yet powerful drummer you’ll ever find) ....

.... For me there were several moments that still seem a little unreal -

Firstly, being in Air studios with the LSO and Jimmy Page;"

Sounds interesting. Definitely would like to see this. Hopefully, a lot of Jimmy will be shown preparing for and recording WLL for the show. Thanks Meg.

Me too :D

Right...me too...but as I posted above, it doesn't look likely. Unless you guys can spot it in the schedule and I'm missing it. I've also tried the search function with no luck <_<

Edit to add: I've searched a month into the schedule.

I didn't see it either. I think BBC America shows mostly older shows, at least that's what I always manage to catch.

BBC iPlayer won't play overseas unless you have a UK based proxy server. As UK citizens have to pay to watch BBC, they won't let anyone overseas watch it for free.

Well, I appreciate the info LDW. As you can tell, I really want to see this. Any review of it is much needed. :'(

The programme is due to start in about 10 minutes here in the UK, so I'm going to settle down with a cup of tea to watch it. I'll let you all know about any mention/footage of Jimmy!

The programme has just finished. It mainly centred around all the preparations and frustrations of staging the show - battling with Beijing bureaucracy, contending with torrential rain which meant they couldn't rehearse ...

But Jimmy was there! He looked great as ever, was smiling and seemed to be having a great time. There was no interview with him, so all you really saw was what was shown on TV when the ceremony was screened, plus some brief footage of him arriving and boarding the bus.

It's still good to see him on TV though, no matter how briefly!

Well, it's done now. Thought it was interesting, though there wasn't much of Jimmy. Footage consisted on a few glimpses of him during rehearsal, and then, of course, the final show. He didn't speak, but when the camera was on him he did look happy and relaxed. Camera copped him taking a picture of David Beckham rising out of the bus on a rehearsal. And was very surprised to see that the silk shirt he wore under his jacket was actually sleeveless. Did look a bit weird on him as he got on the bus :D All in all a good documentary, though some may have found it a bit slow.

Thank you LDW and Lilith. I was worried that I was going to miss an interview. I love his interviews. But you guys are awesome to recap for us! Here's to you

P.S. Sleeveless, eh? How are his arms??

You know, at one point there was a close up of Jimmy and Leona rehearsing and I felt really jealous that she was so close to his arms. They did a close up on them and they looked really nice. They actually looked very strong. Lucky biatch <_<

Mmmm, you see? This is why I love you longdistancewinner. I know I don't say it enough, but I do. ;)

Man, now I'm back to "needing to see it" again!
