Led Zeppelin’s How The West Was Won CD, signed by Jimmy Page. 19. Led Zeppelin’s How The West Was Won DVD, signed by Jimmy Page. In 1994, while playing in Rio, Jimmy Page witnessed firsthand the harsh deprivation of the children of the Brazilian favelas. The Led Zeppelin rock icon was so moved that he made a very generous donation to Task Brasil. His support allowed us to secure our first plot of land in Santa Teresa with a house which we converted to furnish a safe and happy home for a lucky few of the abandoned children. The house was named Casa Jimmy to honor Jimmy Page’s ongoing support. Since its establishment in 1993, rock celebrities, corporations and generous individuals like you have supported the mission of the Task Brasil Trust. We continue to use over 90% of the funds we’ve received to save the lives of infants, children, and teens. Task Brasil provides food, shelter, nurturing and just as important, an education to help children escape the drugs, poverty and danger found on the hard streets of Brazil. There is so much more we can and must do. To make a donation or learn more, visit www.taskbrasil.org Quote
