That's a nice list you have there "johnlennon696". I would recommend this list for people just starting to collect Led Zep boots. I consider these to best the best of the best, although some people would add a few more. Not everyone can listen to sub-part boots and appreciate them for being a "snapshot" from their musical timeline. I like that sort of stuff, but when I have them blasting on the stereo or in the car, I prefer the higher quality boots. The Complete BBC Sessions is great too, I prefer that over the official one I have.

Europe 1973 finds some great boards! Vienna has been mentioned I see.

Pity some of the best performances are some of the most difficult to listen to.

Spending time in my car this month is Intimidator. Geneva March 7, 1970. Bounces between sources, sound is somewhat dodgy at times, but what a show! Once the ears adjust...

But this thread is about sound quality, so I'll shut up now!

Doesn't sound great TBH, i also have another release which sounds better, which version is best for Royal Albert Hall, the Winston remaster?

The Winston remaster sounds great and it certainly is the most complete release of the show, I'd go for it, EV's is great too, but currently Winston rules supreme.

Without sitting here all day writing up a list, you won't go wrong with these recordings:

1977

May 26th - SBD (Landover, MD)

Landover you say? Although I have not heard this show (well listening to it atm) isn't Destroyer supposed to be the best sounding SBD of the '77 tour?

Yes it is, but that doesn't mean there are any other great sounding 77 SBD's, 5/26 is a great one because it's a monitor mix.

Southampton, Common Complaint in Japan, and Deep Throat are a few good sounding ones.

Hey guys. I'm a first time poster. I could have sworn I signed up for this site a long time ago and posted three or four messages. But I had to sign up again.

I was about to post some bootleg audio from youtube. But that's against the rules. Scratch that...

What is the sound like on the March 27th 1975 boot? I do believe it's a Mike Millard recording though (so should be good)....

All of the LA shows from 75 are good. So are the Long Beach recordings from that year.

1972.10.02 Tokyo is among the greatest and best sounding audience recordings from the band, don't miss it.

It's a pity that Robert's voice begins to decline precisely with this concert!! This is the one where he really started losing his "primeval wail" as Luis Rey puts it. Good sound quality though
