Do's and Dont's

Do:

  • Really LISTEN to people
  • Try to understand others perspectives
  • Respect others opinions
  • Have a smile for everyone
  • Do something nice every opportunity you get
  • Excelerate when merging
  • Use your blinking blinkers
  • Let at least one person go when you are in a tight merging situation
  • Stop if the cops are chasing you
  • Always have a corkscrew with you
  • Respect your elders
  • Always expect the best outcome
  • Pay yourself first
  • Laugh every chance you can
  • Take chances in life
  • Proclaim your right to be wrong
  • Say "I'm sorry"

Don't:

  • Be fearful
  • Interupt others unless they are really obnoxiously droning on (then DO feel free to interupt them back and say 'If I may continue my thought')
  • Think the world revolves around you (even if it does, LOL!)
  • Let your children play on other peoples cars
  • Win the first round of poker and then take off without paying for the pizza that everyone chipped in for in the buy in stakes
  • Jump off anything higher than a roof without a parachute
  • Always fear the worst outcome
  • Steal from others
  • Take anything too seriously
  • Master Card - Don't leave home without it
  • Be afraid to be wrong or to admit you are wrong

Live each day like it's your last

Don't be affraid to give your family a hug

Don't be affraid to accept a hug yourself

Accept who you are and be yourself

Be willing to move on in life and try not to dwell

Be easily content

Do some volunteer work...that'll open your eyes

Respect other people / don't be rude

Be willing to forgive

Don't smoke

Get a little exercise everyday

Take time to enjoy yourself. Work can wait

Pay yourself...you've earned it

Try to find a job you enjoy

Try to see the humour in life.

Don't worry I think everyone was painting on a new face in the 80's :D

Well, that's close, only I had more of a Molly Ringwald 'do and not so much the purple eyeshadow  My son has taken over my Police tour tshirt, too (I really do have one!)

Do:

- be nice

- check your zipper before leaving the restroom

- help other people when you can (I need to do this one more often)

- eat lots of barbecue!!

Don't:

- date guys with boa constrictors or tarantulas for pets (that's just me personally...feel free if you happen to like either of the two)

- do something if it seems like a bad idea at first - it usually is

- leave the house without pants on (I don't know about you, but I think this is a crucial detail  )

- put off housework. I'm a horrible procrastinator, and there are a lot of things you can get away with putting off, but putting off the housework just makes it 10x worse when you do finally get down to it.

Do a selfless act of kindness to someone at least once a day. The littlest things make a difference. I know that from experience.

Don't lie. It really does come back to bite you in the ass. I know that from experience.

  • 5 months later...

Don't believe that your spouse will always be there for you, especially if she uses the internet alot.

Don't do a favor for someone and expect a favor back.

Don't ever think you can go back home and things will be the same.

Do whatever you want, because in the end, it doesn't pay to give up things you want to do, for someone else.

Be careful in using words and sending arrows from a bow. Spoken words and sent arrows can't be taken back.

Don't lie. But the truth can be a sharp knife. Sometimes it is better to keep your secrets.

Don't fool around with peoples emotions.

Never break a cosmic law. The universe will punish you without mercy.

Don't give an advice if you aren't ask for. And even if you are asked for be always aware that giving advices might be dangerous.

Keep your responsibility for yourself at any time.

Don't think or talk mean about other people.

Be friendly to your neighbours.

Show respect to elderly people.

Make real one of the things you always wanted to do once a week (maybe a walk in the forest, a visit in a museum.... or silly stuff like buying selfadhesive stars in a 1-€-Shop...:-).

Yeah, and don't wear hippsters if you aren't in shape...... :D

Enjoy your life and laugh as often you can!

Tinkerbell
