Bring Them On Back
If you use ultimate-guitar then you probably read about this a million times, but all i want to know is, is anchoring when your hand is resting on the guitar, or when your hand is pushing into the guitar? Because i rest the side of my hand on the low strings/bridge, but i don't push against the bridge, and i can't see how just resting it makes more tension, it takes more effort to hold my arm in the air than it does to rest it on the body. groovetuber
Anchoring the way I've always used the term means when your pinky or a few of your fingers rest on the body of the guitar, this is more comfortable for some, and not for others. Just find whatever fits you best, don't worry about what other guitarists say.
