dpat
Hi, Listening to Physical Graffiti the other day, and I was reminded to ask here on the board why do you think there was a 12-second (or maybe 14-second) gap of silence between Black Country Woman and Sick Again? Standard is usually around 4 seconds, but artists generally put the gaps to how long they think it should be until the next tune starts up. Just always thought that odd about BCW & SA. dpat
jabe
Wow..I hadn't thought about this in some time. I bet it was an idea Jimmy concocted. Give a person time to grab onto something before the opening riff. A fabulous song to complete the album. (The Beatles did this on Abbey Road."Her Majesty," comes in 20 -30 seconds after "The End.") ms_zeppelin94
I've heard that BCM had a longer end that got cut out. Maybe that has something to do with it?
Rock Action
I've heard that BCM had a longer end that got cut out. Maybe that has something to do with it? BCM? I didn't know there was an alternate version.
ninelives
BCM? I didn't know there was an alternate version. I guess they decided that version didn't work as well and scrapped it
