TSRTS as an opening number

Probably the most logical reason for TSRTS being the opening, besides it being awesome to open a show with, is that it was a fairly easy song for Plant to get going. He can warm up his chops far more easily and gracefully with a slow "I had a dream... etc" than he could with 75's "IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I ROCK AND ROLLED." Voice cracks abound in 75...

That's why he could have done warm-up exercises before the show.... I dont know; I like TSRTS but too me, I like hearing a heavy intro. Now that being said, the band made it heavy in some shows, which I like.

I think the only warm-up exercises he did were of a different nature... As Plant once said at a show: "Sorry we're late, we had some headwinds at about 8 miles high."

Did Jimmy ever use the 6 string neck on his double neck for the solos in TSRTS during the 1977 tour? He didn't in 1973 or 1975 because they played TRS right after and that was in a different tuning.

No, the 12 string was all he needed for it. He used the 6 string anyways for Sick Again so.....

I always thought Communication Breakdown would've been a great intro for a concert which I think Zep used it a few times early, but it is definitely a song that Plant would've had a hard time singing well at the start of the show. The reason I didn't like TSRTS as an intro was simply because The Rain Song didn't follow, it's kind of like Zep playing the Organ Solo then skipping Thank You..
